Live Earth Concert
 

I get Rolling Stone magazine, and in the most recent one there is a guide showing all the concerts for 'Live Earth', a worldwide concert to raise global warming awareness. There are concerts on every continent, and the one in Tokyo lists Linkin Park, Rihanna, RIZE, Ayaka, Cocco, Kumi Koda, and Ai Otsuka. I was happy to see Kuu and Ai, but why isn't Ayu in it too?

Because she's busy with over things?

Or maybe she hates the earth / knows these events are pointless / loves metal gear so will be celebrating the anniversary ?

itunes has the soundtrack thing up for download too. it has an ai otsuka song on it and also "the meaning of peace" from koda and boa.

Wow, you think just because to big-name artists are in it, other big-name artists have to be there too...?

Ayu's not in it cause she does not use a good cause to do nothing more than promote herself like other certain singers.

yes, she was probably being asked to perform on that event too but she got other job..

SHe's probably busy over her own stuffs.

we can't expect her in all important events..

Well.. sora.. I mean... there was an update almost every day of her time shooting in HK =P

It didn't really take that long for her to finish it.

but it's a short movie...wouldn't it take longer?

It's basically 2 PVs and she finished shooting in a week.

I didn't expect her to perform at LIVE EARTH. I wish she had but then again, it's not like the US would let you see it on TV. In fact, anything that happens to be Asian doesn't normally make it to mainstream media...Unless it has to do with fighting politicians or freak accidents.

ayu will be busy with the single until it will be out more 2 more weeks

No ayu... Just when I thought I can see her performance next sat live... Now not only I dont get to see her, I have to miss my show since the stupid station will be showing this [the Shanghai version] instead.

Well I cant believe we have similar thoughts - Didn't know singing can save Earth from global warming...

It's only 18 minutes long. It doesn't take much more than a week to film 18 minutes worth of footage.

As far as Live Earth goes, I would have liked her to perform, but I didn't expect her to for a minute. She didn't do Live 8 a few years ago, either. I don't think she's a very politically active or even group-minded person.

She's too busy smoking and spending thousands of dollars a minute polluting the Earth!

i think its a great chance to reach out to her asian fans again.. but i wonder why too.. probably she cant make it and tats it.

Well think about it. It's not silly if it raises worldwide awareness. The biggest problem right now is that people are wasting way too much and not being educated enough. And you can't exactly do a concert without electric stuff for microphones and musical instruments :rolleyes

Seriously Ayumi is just busy and probably needs some time to relax. She has taken part of similar events so she probably would have attended if this single wasn't due to being released and she's just finished her tour. After all her 2005 performance at the Aichi Expo was environmental related too.

Ayu is making some strategy to broke the torrents of her new songs. XD
I think that is a small vacation to Ayu. It's time to reflexion for enjoy to promote her new single. I agree with Demure said.

I would have liked Namie and Ayu to be there.. since they both seem like people who care. XD I guess they were both too busy or weren't even considered. XD
