people have been speculating why ayu broke up with tomoya. a japanese magazine, 《 周 刊 新 潮 》Shukan Shincho that was published yesterday, claimed that ayu was seen to be crying in a hospital this spring. hence, rumours begin to circulate in the entertainment industry that ayu split with tomoya because of an abortion.

the hospital declined to comment, and ayu's agent slammed the rumour as being ridiculous. sources say that tomoya took care of ayu's dogs every time she leaves japan, but ayu was never thankful for it. tomoya got frustrated as a result.
on the other hand, ayu was seen to be dining with tomoya and a V6 member, Inohara Yoshihiko the night after she publicised her break up.

Yeah I kinda saw this coming next. Fundamental assumptions of breakups: 1) INFIDELITY OMGZ 2) Baby drama. I wish people would stop trying to concoct theories about this. They're adults; they handled the breakup well and are still friends...I think that squashes the over-dramatic rumors the media's cooking up XD

This is the funniest thing i've read all week.

To be honest, Ayu is very smart, responsible and cares a lot about her career. With plans for overseas tours, single releases etc, i think she would have taken precautions not to get pregnant. The abortion thing is a really low blow by the gossip magzs.

If i had to choose any of the 3 reasons as the "truth" behind the break-up, it would probably have been the taking care of puppies. It's the funniest one.

actually i believe it could be about dogs...not as the single reaso, but as one of te reasons. tension build up over time, and sometimes trivial matters can become a big matter when you are annoyed.

In all honesty, they had been together for a very big amount of years, I don't think something as trivial as dogs would come in between a relationship that strong.

Why is it so hard to understand that maybe they just fell out of love? I know the tabloids want to make it as juicy as possible so they can sell more copies, but we as Ayu fans should know better than to go by tabloids, I completely believe Ayu when she says that they simply grew apart and become more like a brother and sister.
