Isn't this a bit weird

Everyone is releasing the song "Ai no Uta" the list here are those I know
- Kuu, everyone knows that
-Hitomi Shimatani Right below this thread
-Angela Aki (in her TODAY album on 19/9/2007)

I'm pretty sure there are more but the whole idea is what makes everyone comes up with one title ~
It might not weird to you but I do think it's a bit weird

AyuHamasaki01 14th August 2007 10:21 AM

that's really weird...

truehappiness 14th August 2007 10:24 AM

ELT released an Ai no uta, and I think that Nanase Aikawa also released one. But it was ages ago. :\

Quote:

In Japanese, "love song" can be translated to "ai no uta" (愛の歌) or "koi no uta" (恋の歌). This could be:

Ai no Uta (dorama), a 2005 dorama starring Kanno Miho, Tamaki Koji and Narimiya Hiroki.
Ai no Uta -Magenta Rain-, a single by Aikawa Nanase (or more specifically, the song information).
Ai no Uta (BUCK-TICK), a song by BUCK-TICK.
Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~, a single from Chara under the name Yen Town Band (or more specifically, the song information).
Ai no Uta (Do As Infinity) , a song by Do As Infinity.
Ai no Uta (Every Little Thing), a song by Every Little Thing.
Minihamuzu no Ai no Uta, a single by Minimoni under the name Minihams.
Ai no Uta (Nanamusica), a single by Nanamusica.
Ai no Uta (PENICILLIN), a song by PENICILLIN.
Ai no Uta (Psycho le Cemu), Psycho le Cemu's fourth single (or more specifically, the song information).
Ai no Uta (Strawberry Flower), a single by Strawberry Flower (or more specifically, the song information).
Ai no Uta (Tanpopo), a song by Tanpopo
Ai no Uta ~Jeongmal Sarang hae yo~, a song by Tsunku.
Koi no Uta, GO!GO!7188's third single.
There we go..

It's just in a coincidence imo. A lot of people have done the "Ai no Uta." :\

It's like the Japanese version of I Believe, or Crazy..

Weslicious 14th August 2007 10:28 AM

sifow had a track called 'I Uta' if that counts :D LOL, someone should make a favourite 'Ai Uta' poll.

WillofDusk 14th August 2007 10:36 AM

Truehappiness: I mean at this time, they release them at once (upcoming release)
Who would not know there are heaps of that title

truehappiness 14th August 2007 10:43 AM

Well, we knew of Shimatani's first, then someone else, then Angela Aki. :D

I dunno who plans these things, but I'm sure Angela Aki had been planning on releasing an ai no uta for a while..

greggerz189 14th August 2007 11:43 AM

If "Ai Uta" counts, then GReeeeN's recent single also counts...

M_aria 14th August 2007 11:55 AM

I was thinking the same thing the other day!

~ayu-cake~ 14th August 2007 11:56 AM

Wow, how over used >.<

Kodayumi 14th August 2007 11:57 AM

Haha.. :D ... But I have to say, the title is too common.. Love song.. Duh!

Diego-kun 14th August 2007 12:42 PM

I agree with Diana, the title is too common so there are lots of songs with it... I think Japanese singers should think more about the titles of their songs and find out if there's already a song with the same title they wanna use.

alt.total-loser 14th August 2007 12:47 PM

Love
Song

Of course it's over-used. D: Everyone has a thing for love songs for some reason.

Kobayashiwoof 14th August 2007 02:23 PM

what about Love Song, m-flo loves BONNIE PINK? :P

sora-kara 14th August 2007 04:37 PM

This same thing happened last year with the title 'Go My Way'

that was a lot stranger than 'Ai no Uta'

Eiko Shimamiya also has a track called 'Ai no Uta'. its probably one of the best 'Ai no Uta's around.

futureLOVE 14th August 2007 05:05 PM

eventhough love songs are pretty much they biggest category there is...however, they don't have to be named Love Song...they could get a little more creative.

Beauty4123 14th August 2007 05:18 PM

when i was looking up do as infinity, i found out they also had an ai no uta song, lol. must be a common use of words or something.

Ayu seemed to have a way better reason for titling hers though XD

alt.total-loser 14th August 2007 08:29 PM

namiie 14th August 2007 08:36 PM

Hehe, don't forget GReeeeN...theirs is "Ai Uta", but close enough.

I really just think it's coincidence. That title was overused to begin with, haha.

truehappiness 14th August 2007 08:38 PM

I think Ayu has some of the more unique songtitles of the industry, despite having some re-used ones [i.e HEAVEN, Pride, and so on..] but for the most part, her titles are her own :D~

micster 14th August 2007 08:51 PM

Lots of people were coming out with song titles with Blue in them last year ish

Kogepan_19 14th August 2007 09:22 PM

The difference is in the script. Shimatani's 愛の詩 refers to a more lyrical sound. Koda's 愛のうた uses hiragana, meaning she might've wanted to represent herself as more childish. GreeN's 愛唄 uses the uta that's meant for more a folk style...it all depends on the lyrics I think.

IYFreak 14th August 2007 09:31 PM

has anyone else noticed how many songs there are in Japan with the word will like Ayu's "Will", Sowelu's "I will", Dream's "My will", Mika Nakashima's "Will". I think there is prob. more with the word "Will in it. Oh yeah and also Namie's "I will"

If we think that way you're right lol. However, although they are written different they still have the same meaning (Love Song)

mishidabo 15th August 2007 05:29 PM

its all because of GReeeeN's super hit Aiuta

avex wants to get in that wave too
