The Story:

The 50 Cent Vs. Kanye West battle continues this week as we approach the face off on September 11th when both rappers 3rd major LPs debut.
Kanye West’s "Graduation" has been gaining momentum from three hit singles while 50 Cent seems to be struggling with only one major hit.
Disregarding the lack of buzz from both fans and critics alike, 50 has thrown out some bold words and has put his solo career on the line.

"They would like to see Kanye West give me a problem because I've worked myself into a space where I've become the favorite,"
Fif told SOHH. "Everybody roots against the underdog when he goes against the favorite."
"Put it like this," 50 continued. "Let's raise the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music.
I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out any more solo albums..
"And I bet this, when Kanye West's sales come in, he's gonna have a 70% decrease [the second week] 'cause Def Jam is gonna buy records to keep him closer to 50 Cent..
"So watch the first week and then watch the second week. Watch his **** drop off the planet.
We keep our angles covered before we make a decent bet." Said 50.

50’s "Curtis" and Kanye's "Graduation" are scheduled to hit stores on September 11th, 2007.

My Opinion:

they should both stop their solo careers. ;D

OMG. Looking at the album releases for September 18, I wish that a similar thing would happen between Chamillionaire, Nelly, Twista & James Blunt (yes, I know he's not a rapper). I wish they'd all say things like "IF I DON'T GET TO #1, I WILL STOP FUNCTIONING." and then KT Tunstall, Eve or Mya takes the top spot. :laugh Which means they all will be sent back home to momma/mommy. \o/

I'm voting for Kanye, because he didn't say he'd quit if he loses. I can't stand either of them, and Kanye always ends up losing because he's too cocky. However, if we could get either of them to retire, that'd be great.

To be honest here, Kanye has talent, 50 doesn't. if 50 cent quits his career, Kanye should get a nobel prize for services to music or something.

The two singles I've heard from Kanye are great whereas 50 has only amazed me with one which btw, is very addictive.

I voted for Kanye but 50 has sold more albums than Kanye before. So in terms of album sales, I believe 50 might really sale more than Kanye. I just voted for Kanye the first time because I hate 50, not based on actual sales.

Fiddy has catchier songs to me...the only Kanye song I really like is Golddigger. Jesus Walks has a nice background beat but it gets repetitive after a while.

I don't care about his past, it's **** like this and this that bug me. Saying that gay men can't appreciate hip-hop along with trying to justify his reasoning by saying that he's being honest just exemplifies his lack of intelligence. I realize that homophobia and the hip-hop scene are no strangers to each other and the fact that Kanye has the balls to speak out against it should speak volumes. He is an amazing producer and I think his music has a lot more substance than a lot of hip-hop talents out there now.

I'm feelin' Kanye's album more. Both singles off of his album have been in my playlist for this week and last week. Plus, Kanye's video for Stronger is like SO CRAZY WILD.....like I can't believe he did some so cool like that!
