What are you hoping for on Ayu's new upcoming album?
 

I'm hoping that it will be similar to something like (miss)understood...that would be great. Although that is kind of a strange expectation since all of Ayu's albums are pretty diverse. But I think what she needs is something fun like that. Ayu's somewhat deteriating(sp?) fame needs a great come back- if that's possible :/...
But yeah, Idk what are you guys hoping for?

I know her specialty is Rock,Pop, and Ballads but she really should take a chance and make a hot dance track that can be heard in clubs. I mean ... if Hilary Duff can make a transition so can Ayu^^ But I doubt it which I'm fine with. I'm sure she'll just do her intro-pop/rock-rock-interlude-ballads-interlude-pop-mid tempos-closing ballad style .

or even try an ERIKA/YUI style. I would LOVE that!!

I'm hoping for a dancey-style BOOMBOOMBOOM track.

Aaand... that's it. My only hope.

Just that she keeps her level of quality, but why would she fail now after 10 years. And of course a nice photoshoot for the cover and photobook. (please wear hair extensions ayu!)

I'm hoping it to be an Ayu album :P It doesn't really matter to me, she never disappoints me anyway :) Some tracks similiar to her style used in the LOVEppears album would be great though.

Hmm...a club anthem, rock and pop & NO [fated] unless it's been rearranged.
Lot's of PVs and making ofs.
A cover that isn't BLACK, WHITE & RED all over!!!
A CD booklet that doesn't suck...(miss)understood SUCKED badly.
A hidden bonus track like [Independent] and [more than].

Electric Club Dance. Somethin not generic, something hot and something solid. I dont want any of her pop/rock tracks, she just over does them now. AYUMI YOU NEED A NEW IMAGE

I don't really know what to expect. I'd just like something to blow me away.

I want only an Introduction and not 2 Interludes.

i wan diversity! so that it can top m-u...coz for me m-u was gd because of the wide variety...
and i hope it WONT be like MY STORY for that reason that MY STORY focused on the gd songs by giving them PVs..the rest w/o PVs were not the main thing (HOPE or PAIN...Liar...all not focused)
and i hope it will be like Secret such that the album tracks are very very gd

the single tracks already are gd...and the PVs are pretty enjoyable i guess...not the best but still ok...

- 1 or 2 interludes only, not more than that...
- A bonus song maybe? Like a hidden track!

- More pop songs! Not the "glitter" kind. The GOOD kind.
- Maybe 1 more rock song?
- And like someone said earlier, the type of song ERIKA/YUI would sing too.

i just want good songs. whether it's rock, pop, etc.. as lomg as it's a good album.

I want a great a poppy songs and a great ballad songs, like a balance of the two.. maybe something new and less rocky, but I actually enjoy her rocky songs.. I want something like Not Yet or Cather in The Light but probably she wont do it because she done it already in Secret.. I want an instrumental like taskinst, that would be cool! and I wish she experiment in her songs, so I'm hoping for something different actually..

Yeah. Like a piano re-arrangement, maybe with orchestra too.

Honestly? I'm expecting a lot. This is her promised 3rd phase and hopefully the new album will move towards this phase completely and show us what exactly she meant by that. The music will probably be mainly synths, rock, pop and ballads. Probably we'll get rock-orchestra hybrids once again.

I'm also expecting a fantastic photoshoot, up to the level of Secret and a pv with a plot.
I also hope she won't go overboard with interludes. Two are enough.

1. More songs in the style of "talkin' 2 myself" and "fated"
2. Really great cover design
3. The entire "Distance Love" short film included in one piece
4. A retro throwback in "P.S. II" or "And Then" style
5. Another "taskin" interlude
6. An interview on the DVD (with English subtitles available)

Well, I'd like to see more electronic music, and some nice ballads like HANABI, I'm expecting rock, duh xD I'd just like a song even a teensy bit like Ladies Night.


I'm hoping she doesn't go back to baby-poop-blonde hair for the shoot, too. Gah.

More acoustic guitars, please. Actually just more organic instruments in general. And if it's possible, I'd like her to sing as freely as she did in some of the songs on (miss)understood. I understand that her vocals might not be in the best condition right now (I remember she got really sick last winter which believe me can cause problems) so that might not be an option. But the choppyness of some of the harder rock songs isn't really my cup of tea. Speaking of which, that might be another reason her voice sounds strained... songs like decision can not be easy to sing, even if she is more comfortable in her low voice.

So even though I liked the ones we got, no more harder rock songs. Nothing else that sounds even vaguely like glitter because I cannot really stand that song and I don't think it holds up to similar ones such as Blue Bird, fairyland and whatever else people have been comparing it to. Basically, I want something between the glitz and the rock. Fated was nice but I'm thinking more Memorial Address-ish.

Also PLEASE put part of Me on the album. I don't care of it was on A Best 2, it deserves to be on a proper album.

I would like track 1 to be something similar to Not yet and Catcher in the light with a more surreal effect. Maybe 1 more rock-ballad which is catchy like Until that day... / evolution! I would like to see a song similar to Suzuki Ami's FREE FREE (*__*) too! And a YUI/ERIKA song sounds good too. A ballad like hikki's Be My Last which focuses on her vocals with soft music. Another task-X interlude to separate the tracks and a collaboration (secret m-flo♥Ayu track) will be great *__________*!

Ok that is what i want. XD though i don't think it will ever work out.

What am I expected:

1. A GRAND opening Intro with rock and synth style with so much illusion and surrealism on it it will be like travel to another dimension!
2. The balance between pop and ballad and rock too
3. A great, cool, amazing and beautiful cover not like (m)u!!!
4. Hidden track
5. Acoustic songs like Key etc...
6. Great booklet because (m)u was really boring~
7. An overall album theme which make it neat! like MY STORY or Memorial Address (even though glitter seems to 'ruined' this a bit~ ^_^)
8. More PVs and meaningful ones not like decision which seems so low budget

i hope it's not a filler album like Secret.

ooh, and i wish it's not a pop-rock oriented album. i'm tired of ayu's rock songs already. ~

I want some rock songs like Because of You as well as some interesting ballads like HANABI.

Also some really amazing cover art would be nice, nothing like (miss)understood please. D;

I forgot to say that I'd really love if her cover and booklet pictures aren't taken in a studio like Secret. I'm quite sick of the one colored background and that's it. I want something original. A scenery. Something special. Secret was nice I guess, but slightly boring. Give me something cool. Enough with the studio pictures!

To me, it doesn't matter what style Ayu decides to go for with this album, I'm sure it will be great~ I love the interludes she puts on her albums, so I hope for at least 2 of them on this one. :D

I'm hoping for something like Rainbow or Moments those are my Favorite 2 Ayu albums, especially Rainbow, I love the whole thing form start to finish

I wanna hear another song similar to ladies night. Such a random 80's-sounding song that took me months to get used to...but it's very unique.

i'd love something like "Still Alone" and "evolution"-ish... or something like "heartplace". her songs now are just dull and not as heart wrenching.

she should get back to experimental... like in her "i am..." days where there was so many cool sounds put together... something random and odd would be nice! like ladies night. that was so weird but that's what drew me into it.

I would love this album to have another track like "JEWEL" just a beautiful ballad with incredible lyrics, portraying love in a good view like she's really feeling the love. And even though she already released talkin' 2 myself and decision, I just feel there should be 1 more rock track - hopefully something that'll blow me away like 1 LOVE!! I mean it doesn't have to have a similar arrangement but to have that spark. I've always felt there was just a little something missing from talkin' 2 myself...

I'd like to see some dance songs, and a few amazing ballads. This album should be...I dunno, innovative. I wanna see Ayu produce something that says "I might not be at the height of my career anymore but I''m gonna keep producing quality music that makes people wanna shout for joy and set some more trends for the J-Music industry." some really great rock tracks, super dark ones, with depressing horrible sad lyrics. not poppish rock, but real rock songs.

some nice ballads, like hanabi ~ep ii~ or pride, something really epic and sweeping sounding that you can't stop listening to.

a really awesome cover thats not all glam and bubble gum, but something darker or more mature. something classy like secret for example.

at least one song that sounds dramatically different from any of her past work...see ladies night and bold and delicious.

a few english lyrics to give me something to sing along to until the japanese sticks in my head.

There's nothing that I'm expecting from this album. I mean, every single so far has been so wonderful! Both "glitter" and "fated" were perfect. I'm not a fan of Ayu's rock side, but "talkin' 2 myself" and "decision" were excellent rock songs! And "Together When..." just keeps getting better and better.

I never expect, I'm just waiting for the good surprise!
But..
I would like an album that would sounds like LOVEppears ~Rock Version~, which means will have the style of LOVEppears album just with rock into it.
I think that now ayu is closer to the rock style more than ever and most likely she might will go on a different style after some time which means the present style has to reach to its pick, I think it might happen on this album!
Of course there need to be some pop songs and ballad songs to vary! and 2 interludes. XD

More ballads...rock orientated..but not to a great extent...elements from m(u)...and most importantly high quality songs..not just some typical songs.

I'm hoping there will be a very fast, energetic song like evolution and until that Day... Also a nice soft ballad, some rock like Talkin' 2 Myself.

I dunno...I hope for much, but my hopes may never become reality :P

I'd honestly say that Koda will get like 300,000 to 600,000 cd sales from the Hype left over from Black Cherry ALONE.

Ayumi will maybe get like from 150,000 to 300,000 from the hype from Secret.

Koda will probably win, but the fact that Ayu is the queen of J-Pop may give her the advantage,

But then again, this is all just speculation.

I noticed that too. She's only been out since 2000 (Ayu technically debuted in 1998) and suddenly Koda has almost caught up to her with 38 singles!
I know there's only a couple years difference but she wasn't always coming out with singles that rapidly until not too long ago.
She came out with what, like four this year? I mean, I like Koda and all but what's the deal? Idk but it is a bit of a coincidence. But from the looks of it I think Koda's album will sell better. Hopefully not though =(...Keep your fingers crossed ppl!!!:yes

I still think Ayu has a chance :)

i really hope for a confirmed 15 tracks...even if she has 3 interludes like Secret, 7 new songs is better than 6

i hope for greater music since its her third chapter already...maybe experiment with something different...

the album needs 2 more ballads..and a little more edgy songs...and songs like until that Day... neutral feeling, not too dark...

CREA will be good..actually i dun really mind no CREA, but if it makes people happy, why not come back?

and i hope she doesnt stick to her usual arrangement of tracks, ballads in the middle..

and lsatly, i hope for variety like in m(u), which is very vibrant..i dunno, maybe coz of the presence of B&D, STEP you and fairyland...the album still feels uplifting despite the darker songs
