Ok...so this thread is almost dead...let me refesh n revive LOL

So next year...beside ayu, MISIA is also goin' to celebrate her 10th year carreer anniversary...she'll hold -THE TOUR of MISIA 2008 "EIGHT WORLD"-
Starting from 12.21 this year...

She's always faster in Live Tour...even her newest album with the same title "EIGHT WORLD" will be released in January...and the date not yet confirmed...haha...and usually her LIVE DVD is even not recorded on the last day...usually somewhere in COUNTDOWN...so around 12.31 or December

Before her new album...a new single after the latest single ('ANY LOVE') will be released in 12.05, the same date as ayu's huh? (well the song sounds nice)

I love MISIA!! She's one of the best female vocalist in Japan. Her new single "Royal Chocolate Flush" is amazing. I recommend everyone check it out. I love her dance songs the most^^

The last album of hers that I bought was Kiss in the Sky, and I really loved it. However I sort of forgot about her cause I couldn't afford to as many cds as I used to. I really want to get back into her music. Does she still have the same style?

People say it's more "boring" now, which I totally disagree with. Still, try EIGHTH WORLD.

Her new albums are VERY good. I like all of her albums in one way or another... but I really find her last two albums to be the best of her career. The sound is still similar, its not like she did a 180 or anything musically... but it has progressed. Try out ASCENSION and EIGHth WORlD =)

MISIA has a new single (Yes Forever) coming out on the 30th of this month, another single in May, and then... ANOTHER single in June. Also, in June her EiGHth WORlD Tour DVD comes out, and word on the street is that the first press of the DVD comes with a bonus remix disc (like EW had).

So lots is going to be going on in the world of MISIA soon. The pv for Yes Forever is also on Youtube.

hmm i've never listened to MISIA before, but my dad loves her~ so can someone recommend an album i can get *cough download* for my dad and for me to listen to?

I think it is lack of promotion. She gets her singles to be theme songs and such... but as far as I know she never really goes on any of the big tv shows to promote her singles/albums. Her album sales are slowly going down, but her concerts are still doing amazing (and thats where the big money is anyways).

Royal Chocolate Flush is an amazing song, you should check out her EiGHth WORlD and ASCENSION albums... they are both so amazing. Her older stuff is, IMO, very good... but her newer stuff just has something about it that makes it better. I don't know exactly what it is lol

Yes, I second the vote for Eighth World!

If you like very danceable R&B tracks then I definitely recommend EIGHTH WORLD. If you like ballads and pop songs that are really vocally expressive, then I recommend SINGER FOR SINGER (my favorite MISIA album). If you want a good mix of both, then I say go with ASCENSION. All three albums are fantastic and there isn't much wrong you can do in listening to any of MISIA's albums (unless it's the extremely dull MARS & ROSES).

Yeah, MISIA never performs live on television. That's why her concerts are so revered, sine it's the only way to see that amazing voice live.

MARS & ROSES is a very good album, its it her most solid? no. But its still a good album.

Yes Forever is just indescribably beautiful. There's just this maturity and elegance to it that I adore. MISIA never fails to amaze me. I may buy this or her next single on CD Japan. At least the Limited Edition of this single still has the poster.

I haven't heard any of her remix albums except for some remixes done on the singles/albums but I'll have to look into those especially the acoustics. She has the best voice live IMO.
