Favorite Christmas songs/carols?
 

With Thanksgiving (in the US) over and Christmas basically around the corner, many stores have put their Christmas decorations up (even before Halloween!), with carols and songs playing nonstop.

So, what are your favorite songs/carols?

Personally, I like the traditional carols since they really have the most spirit. "Jingle Bell Rock" is another good song too. :)

and of course those songs are kind of ''old ones'' (Bing Crosby etc.)

Last Christmas just has the name but is great too. I got quite surprised when I saw BoA covered the song. I heard the song since I was too much younger. And the classic Jingle Bells lol.

I like most christmas songs, as long as they are not sung by kids or mice.

I also love the Alvin and the Chipmunks version of Twelve days of Christmas. :D

I've always loved the song "Mary's Boy Child" by Boney M. It's super Jesus-y and I'm not even Christian, but it's such a great song that I don't even care. I love how funky it is. I also love "All I Want for Christmas" by Mariah Carey. I just get so happy every time I hear it on the radio during the holiday season. God I love Christmastime :D

LAWL, yeah that's what I get called around this time of year. I've never partically(sp?) liked Christmas, even as a kid. The only things I like about it are the money, presents and Christmas dinner. :innocent

I used to hate christmas songs because when I was at school I sung in the choir every year so I went through a phase of hating tubulah bells but now I like it

It's all about Santa Baby. RuPaul's version will remain the ultimate Christmas song in my heart. :laugh

It makes me think of Love Actually... that's my all time favourite movie. I think I will watch it 20x this Christmas.

Jingle Bell Rock is probably my favorite since it was the first Christmas song I learned how to play on the violin :) I also like Walking in a Winter Wonderland too.

I watch the grinch every year for christmas...

After spending 2+ months working in a department store where they constantly played the same 12-track xmas cd over and over (it was one they were promoting)... i must say there are 12 certain carols that i can no-longer stand.

I know we don't all celebrate Xmas here, but I still though I'd ask...what is everyone's favorite Xmas song? What song puts you into the Holiday mood and makes you think about Xmas and sledding and snow and etc...?

For me its "Christmas Wrapping" originally by The Waitresses I think, but I first heard it by the Spice Girls.

I normally don't listen to holiday music, but one Christmas song I really like is Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Highly recommended.

i'm the same way, i hate most xmas songs...but i agree, that one is amazing!

I don't remember too many Christmas songs right off the top of my head (I guess they've been played so much that I have learned to ignore them whenever I go shopping...).

But one song that is quite nice for me (and appropriate for this Christmas) is "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

Again, nostalgia. It's just so much fun to sing and dance to and it really makes me want to party the night away, happily with family.

Fairytale of New York rocks!!! It actually talks about a proper Christmas: alcohol, broken dreams and name calling :D

My fav' are "Little Drummer Boy" & "Angels we have heard on high". (And well, of course, "Petit Papa Noël", coz' it's the only famous french Xmas song^^)
