i was just wondering if anyone liked any other music than Japanese & Korean ((including english)). I am in love with the swedish song "Saga Utan Lyckligt ****" by Vildsvin. It is very sad, but beautiful! :shimmy!

I really like Marilyn Manson too, as weird as that may sound :o. I also love the american band Cursive.

so do you like any other music that jpop & kpop? i'm sure you do!

edit// the swedish song is "Saga Utan Lyckligt s*l*u*t" ((without the *'s)). the bored blocked it out cause that's a bad word, but it's not pronounced the same as in english. Saga Utan Lyckligt S*l*u*t means "Fairy Tale Without A Happy Ending"... i think.

As for scandinavian music? I liked Lene Marlin's first(?) album, even though I have not heard from her since. Are Saybia from the northern regions?

I hardly listen to anything much these days.
If I do, its mostly classical music, film/video game soundtracks, electronic dance, jpop, or cpop and sometimes wpop (western pop if u didnt realise!). I don't have any specific idols (other than Ayu and ELT), I just listen to whatever is good.

I'm also really fond of any music which encourages cranking the hi-fi up at full blast.

I listen to Japanese music all the time so I don't really know what's being played overseas. I still love radiohead, the divine comedy and pj harvey.

i listen to a whole range of music. basically anything that sounds good. jpop, hkpop(joey! lmf hasn't made anything new in a while), punk rock, heavy metal, rap metal, rap/hip hop, gothic metal/rock, new age, trance, well....i've liked at least one song from most contemporary genres....

... seems most of you (those who've responded) like more rock/punk/etc types of things than trance.. hehe :P

But to me, it just seems like an odd combination of seeing, say, a "goth kid" (sorry for the stereotype) listening to Ayu.. haha :roflmao :roflmao

I think i've gone through some kinda 'evolution' with music.

When I was a kid, all I listened was C-pop, J-pop and classical.
Around 13 I started to include dance music.
Around 16 I got into the heavy metal variety.
Now I listen to absoutely anything - pop, rock, classical, folk... its all good. For folk I love traditional Chinese music the best (i don't mean Chinese Opera).

i have relatives that can do chinese opera very well....it's so horrible....how does it ever appeal to ppl?
