cover predictions for 「GUILTY」
 

I don't really have a prediction for what the cover will look like as I have too many idea options going on in my head but I was just wondering what everyone else thought. Does anyone have some ideas they'd like to throw out there?

Probably something dark... Or something epic. :laugh

i hope itz something totally crazy that she's never done b4! that rhinestone encrusted skull rumor is random... but it'd b cool if that was incorporated

I would really like Ayu to do some kind of meaningful "theme" like those of Rainbow and I am...

I am thinking it's going to be something with chains maybe... well those chains as guilt or something! Yeah I totally hope it's something dark and new! excited to see what she will come up with!!

I'm hoping for something dark, but it will obviously still need to have Ayu in it. I really like the chain idea. I would love to see that.

Yup, I love the chain idea too! I would like her to be chained up in the cover design, as in she wearing a very beautiful dress with her wrists chained up and only one of her legs bound with a chain, yup, artistically done!

Oh my, I'm getting so specific, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed if it isn't something like that. Ok, better stick to more general things. But I'm thinking it'll be a great album. The photobook, as we've seen from the ViVi scans, is reminiscent of MY STORY, which has drop-dead gorgeous GLAMOROUS photos, so I can't wait and really look forward to buying the album!

they haven't 'spelled' ayu's name that way for her album covers, why would they start now?

I think it'll be something pensive but classy at the same time, ala something like the Memorial Address booklet photos yet different. Or it could be totally, you know, emo hair covering her face type of deal. This album's quite unpredictable XD

Maybe something gloomy yet beautiful and touching (kinda apples and oranges xD)...Hopefully something meaningful. And also, hopefully nothing like Talkin' 2 Myself ick >.<;

I was thinking of something dark and artistic when I learned what the title was, but with Ayu's recent album covers it probably won't be very artistic, maybe just dark clothing and looking glamourous (be nice if it was a bit gritty like talkin' 2 myself PV though). Her recent single covers have been improving so maybe it might have a better cover, who knows. It's hard to guess which way they might go with the cover and booklet.

Yes, the album title is GUILTY and the cover will have an extremely happy atmosphere.

A prison theme would be fitting. With handcuffs and chains. She could either go for the messy look (dirt on her body, messy hair, kind of like in the "talkin' 2 myself" PV) or the classy prison (like in "The Sweet Escape" clip).

PS. So funny how people have the same ideas or images in mind hearing the title. xD With that in mind, I can imagine ayu to totally surprise us - or not.

Seriously. All I can think about is the Rasmus song Guilty, and Lauri always wears crow feathers in his hair, so i think Ayu should follow suit XD

Yes, I don't think this will be a bright pop-style cover. Edgy emotional Ayu in dark clothes is my guess, based on the name.

I also love the idea of Ayu in chains with a 'oops, did I do that?' kind of expression on her face. A prison or dungeon theme would be cool, too. I just hope the cover matches the title.

I don't like to make predictions. Usually I don't, but I don't like to state them because I think it... ruins the surprise, you know? I think the only time I liked an album cover after a prediction was glitter/fated, because I was really close. :P

i really like the idea of chains. when i saw the word GUILTY, i instantly told my friend the first word that came to my mind "kizuna". it means like "bonds/restraints" i thought of her like tied or bonded somehow. Chains = awesome ^^

I'm really not optimistic about the cover so I'm betting on a single colored background.

4 out of 9 [including M.A] albums are facial shots, or at least have an alternate shoot that is a facial shot :<~ There's about a 50/50 chance that there'll be a facial shot.

Though predictions are usually difficult to make, but from just the title "GUILTY" could also have a church/confession theme. Like "I've done something wrong and want to confess".

I hope there won't be neither chains, nor jail, nor "ayumi wanted" thing. That is actually quite unoriginal. And I dun wanna see a broken wing cuz she's already made herself 2 wings in Endless sorrow. Ahh based on the last few covers, I dunno if ayu's gonna have a theme.

I would rather see ayu dressing as a lion this time (as compared with the cheetah in Duty)....

it depends on what kind of pretty-ish scene it is. I dun really mind something similar to Duty/Memorial address. But I dun want a facial zoom.

Probly something simple can do as well, such as I am... and RAINBOW. I really like the pictures in RAINBOW booklet. Most of the times the pics are shoot with white background, yet ayu's surrounded by colorful fabrics.. :P

Well we all know what we'd like, but with the tradition of the last few cds, its gonna be something simple. sadly.

For all we know, it could be a super-elaborate cover. Just because Secret was sparkly and (m)u was boring doesn't automatically spell out "boring and sparkly" for GUILTY.

I just hope for a nice background. Simple one-colored backgrounds are alright for singles, but the album cover needs a little extra something especially with a title like GUILTY.

It would be cool if it was really unexpected, like... Ayumi sitting in a huge Teacup making peanut butter sandwiches.

I posted that images because I wanted t give an idea: black background, black/grey outfit and radical hair. I think will be like that...But let's wait and see.

Maybe a dark theme to bring out the feeling of guilt? But i hope she's wearing a mask or something to create a mysterious aura :D

I want it to be fairly simplistic, because GUILTY is a strong word and I think something simple would fit it well. For some reason, I had imagined a side-shot of Ayu with her hands reaching upwards against like this dark raining backdrop. You know, as if she's asking forgiveness from the heavens. But that's just me.

Speaking of masquerade, I had this lovely masquerade theme planned for Secret last year... :<

I doubt Ayu will ever use a mask in her covers, though.

if its titled GUILTY:

- she sure wouldn't be smiling
- she'd look either sad or poker faced or looking away... or a look of help
- the colors would be cool colored to avoid the warm feeling u get from warm colors... to create a cold feeling that sure isn't happy
- her apparel would be designed in a fashion that is elegant, sophisticated rockish...
- a detailed backdrop would be likely to create a smothering feeling with a bit of frustration from inability to be freed of one's wrongs

just my analysis if you consider what kind of atmosphere you'd create out of that word "guilty"... sure isn't bright, pretty, and cute.
