Tour of Secret DVD - What makes it so LOOONG to release !
 

I know ALL of us have been awaiting this DVD like...for long, so why it takes so long to release? WIll it really be HD/Blue Ray DVD or maybe it's really a 5DVD set like the one said in rumours so that it takes looong time for the footage? if it is released like next March it'll be a year since the tour started (I guess somewhere around March or February)

My guess is maybe avex wants the dvd to be released close to ayu's 10th anniversary and also in 2008 oricon year.

Yea my guess too.. they're saving it for something.. maybe it'll be released with this years cdl dvd. Who knows. Even if they have more footage to edit, it wouldn't take THIS long.

It can't be that after having released ALL of her concerts, they won't do this one.. Just wouldn't make sense, avex makes profit of whatever they can.

Perhaps there are some copyright issues they are sorting out?. Maybe they are not going to release it? Who knows!

They'll probably release it ... I can't imagine what kind of copyright issues there would be.

oh god! it's truly taking a long time! i thought they would release it with the album but we have heard NOTHING about secret tour yet!

like some said maybe they might release it together with CDL like a live box set or something.....

whenever i see "Tour of Secret" or "ASIA TOUR", it gets me excited. and its jus another discussion about the DVD.. :(

i got a feeling they would like to release it together with the CDL 07 - 08 Anniversary together. Just like the COMPLETE LIVE BOX SET last time.

AT 2002 which ended on 16 Jun 02, which was part of the box set was released 29/01/2003. ASIA TOUR definitely can follow its footsteps and even later.

I think they might be waiting to release it in ayu's anniversary or something...
I really want to see the tour!!!

What I think is going on is the amount of footage they're looking over. Considering there's going to be at least 4 DVDs (2 Chinese, concert/making of + 2 Japanese, concert/making of), that's a lot of footage to look over and touch up. My other hunch is Chinese translations if anything. I seriously doubt it, but it's possible.

And if you guys are right, there may be either 5 or 6 DVDs (CDL, making of).

I suppose we're going to get some anniversary edition release which will be expensive but with interesting material.

They might be planning a COMPLETE LIVE BOX volume 2.

Although I honestly wish they re-release all her concerts in High-Definition on like Blu-Ray.

They are probably going to release it on Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Ai Otsuka's concert DVD is released on 1.1.2008 and its in those formats, so I'm sure they are prepping for Ayu to release on those formats. I'm sure there will be tons of extra material too!

YAY! Japan and the US are FINALLY on the same region for Blu-Ray, I can play the dvds on the ps3 and not have to buy a separate region free player.

Which would suck for me cause I would have to buy one. >.<

I was just thinking this! hopefully its the show from Hong Kong or Shanghai.

because it's the ASIA TOUR and i believe the DVDs will contain a lot of videos happening during the ASIA TOUR...so..
i kinda think that they're still selecting what videos to be put on the DVDs..

and i do hope this ASIA TOUR dvd will be the greatest one with a lot of footage videos during the tour...

Wasn't it said that they filmed the dvd at yokohama or am I remembering wrong.. the last stop was in Fukuoka, but that wasnt where it was filmed. I know they always have film crews at the concerts, but the dvd recording has like 30 cameras, camera cranes and the spider cam.

maybe avex wanna make big promotional for this DVD tour, so the sales will boost..

or they want add the bonus DVD CDL 07-08..
so after CDL 07-08 they will realese DVD secret tour plus bonus CDL anniversary 2007-2008

mayb it'll b like Arashi's Around Asia DVD w/ clips from the different concerts and her traveling and the one or 2 discs w/ the whole final concert in Japan

I forgot about the fact that it hasn't been released on DVD yet. I hope they do sometime relatively soon, as I always greatly anticipate her tours. Obviously they will be releasing it, we just don't know when that will be.

surely releasing a tour of her 9th-year tour as some sort of 10th anniversary special would be stupid. surely it would be the tour she does in the 10th year, involving an actual 10th anniversary celebration, would be the only sensible 10th anniversary release.

Maybe they're trying to get the localised (china/HK) versions ready to release at the same time? but I can't see that being the reason myself.

Maybe waiting for bluray? but if other avex artists have already announced their bluray releases, then surely not this reason.

Maybe they want to release guilty first, and leave some time between the two releases?

I was wondering that too. Maybe if people kick up enough fuss on the TeamAyu BBS, Mr. Kaz will tell us what's going on because it's ridiculous.

it would be so money grabbing of them to release her past DVDs from MY STORY if they are making a box set...argh...and they might do it...

if they just include the CDL0708, then i wouldnt mind..of coz

I'm pretty sure after GUILTY is released (maybe beginning of Feb.), we'll get news on the ASIA TOUR + CDL07-08 (probably a new single :shrug) + some other news. I mean they can't NOT do anything special for her 10 years =\ I have a hunch that something huge is comin and I for one am excited for next year :D

probable..they did that for Secret itself...so maybe for the DVD too...end of february is probable...the same duration they took to edit CDL0607..2 months

FNS and best artist japan during the talk the hosts always mentioned her 10th aniversary rite... and ayu is like i have no idea whats going to happen but im looking forward to it rite?~~ so i guess.. there is going to be massive promo's happening in 2008 for ayu~~~ A CLIPS BOX vol 2 sounds like a good start!!! wonder wats her single line up going to be next year though....

I think they're just waiting for the right moment to release it, 2008 sounds likely since it's the big 10th year.

They might be using the Tour to up the sales for an upcoming release? Like A Ballads 2 or they might release AYumi;s next tour together (but separate) for a hype perhaps?

actually what i am trying to do is to not think about a release of ASIA TOUR 2007 DVD cos i will go BERSERK seriously. Just keep quiet till official news are out and then i will die of happiness. isnt that more worth it!?? hehe.

She has to release it before CDL, or I`ll be pissed off :P I mean.. It`s about time!! If it took them so long, at least she should have recorded more songs :(

They're plotting something =_=...

they could either be waiting for something else to possibly package it with to promote sales, maybe they are planning 10th anniversary resales of all her albums and the tour of secret dvd happens to be the package for the secret rerelease.

or they could just be taking more time at collecting material for DVD extras. im hoping that is the case, i mean it was a big jump making her arena tour go from japan only to locations all around asia. there should be a lot of interesting DVD extras hopefully

I highly doubt that there will be a release of a DVD at the end of February since Avex is putting out Namie Amuros Play Tour DVD on the 27th February 2008.

Ugh I KNOW. I am wanting to see this concert so badly. But yeah, they're probably holding out until some special 10th anniversary thing... :(
