Who do you think is a better vocalist!
 

Who do you think is a better vocalist Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood? They both can sing very well! Carrie Underwood can hold a note for a long time but i still think that Kelly may be a better vocalist but not by much I mean they are pretty close that is what I think! so who do u think is the better VOCALIST and why!!! (I posted this in general music but I tought that it would get more answers here so I made another one)

Kelly Clarkson has a tad bit of a stronger voice than Carrie Underwood but they're both cool.

I adore them both but I had to choose Kelly. I think I was once brought to tears by listening to a live performance of hers. Her voice is so powerful and filled with emotion. Needless to say I vastly prefer her genre of music to Carrie's as well.

This is a hard one...

I'll have to go with Kelly for the simple fact that she sung her ass-off when she performed "Fallin'" to the judges. Carrie has a nice voice but I'm not a big country music fan and her voices weren't all that great in Before He Cheats (I still like the song though. :P)

Kelly Clarkson is it extremely average looking. Carrie Underwood is extremely good looking. So she wins. Voice of an angel.

I voted for Carrie. I voted for both of them on American Idol back in the day, actually. But Carrie gets my vote here because I don't think that Kelly's voice is quite what it used to be.

Kelly Clarkson, because I haven't heard Carrie's music yet. :3 But I love Kelly's music, it's so wonderful and she has awesome voice and her own style of music, which is a mic of many different genres. I like it when artists use different genres in their music. <3

Carrie Underwood. I think a lot of people feel like Kelly Clarkson has better vocals since she's always screaming her songs...I don't necessarily think that's a show of vocals; just screaming. Kelly has good songs in her own right, but I think Carrie Underwood is more well-rounded as vocalist.

kelly by a mile ... they are both good but kelly's songs, especially form the breakaway album, are so strong and emotional ... some of her songs are making me cry so bad ...

carrie on the other side is a more, how do I say this, easy-to-listen artist...

kelly's kind of voice, the voices that are thick like Leona Lewis and Colbie Callie... they're not too pleasant to hear, imo. i don't favor those kind of voices.
carrie's is great, but i'm not a fan of that Martinca McBride/Faith Hill kind of country voice. it's annoying at times.

Carrie is better for me...there is just something about Kelly's voice that i dont like...like the way she pronounces the "s" in words

To me, they both sound a little the same, but I chose Carrie because I've heard more of her music recently compaired to Kelly's.

Kelly yells too much. lol and i don't really know who Carrie Underwood is. But if people are comparing her with Kelly Clarkson then she can't be that great.

I don't listen to either on a casual basis, but I have heard their voices, and I must say Kelly Clarkson is an AMAZING vocalist and way better than Carrie.

Neither. I find their voices hard to listen to. I'm not saying they have no singing ability, I just don't like voices like theirs. None of their songs did anything for me either. :shrug
