Well ok, it seems clear. So we have time to March. I understand that video message is not allowed. If I understood it correctly all of us who want to take part in this project, need to send some money yes??

I would love to do my part for Ayu. I live in Australia, so if there are no other Australian Ayu fans I would like to help out. ^_^

I also know one person in Japan, but am not sure if they would be willing to be a part... I can ask a friend of a friend (also lives in Japan), they may be more accomodating (hopefully)... but I will have to check. I can't make any promises.

Of course I can send you some money. I understand it's all expensive. But I don't know how much. It would be convenient for you if I send you the money in EURO right?? Write me a private message about how much is the minimum that would suit you. I know that it's rude to talk about the money but I like to be sure weather I won't send too small amount of money.

Is there some special theme to the desing of the scrapbook or is it just a bit of everything mixed?

I don't get the special theme thingy...

Umm like, is it so that the cover has only the text and some background color/pattern and then the messages are there with not much desinging? Or will there be i.e. "Ayu & the world" (or something) theme and that theme will repeat at some message pages... Or some main colors?

I love this thing and I'll do my best to join but I really hope somebody in Melbourne can help me with this cause I'm totally blind over this mailing stuff.

And I think we should be doing this not just because of the Ayu's left ear incident but also letting Ayu know about her impact on us people around the world and that we are here supporting her. (AHS is definitely the biggest international Ayumi Hamasaki fanbase online I'd say)

About the theme thing, I dont think it's necessary, it's gonna be hard to make everyone stick to the one theme

I like the new title too and at least I don't mind if Draggi's going to make that scrapbook. And it's good that we can send those messages via email too.

just think of something amazing...

lol i was told that its not that a big deal that ayu lost the function of her left ear cos ayu will continue singing bla bla bla.. So we should treat ayu normally.

And suddenly we are doing all these as if ayu has some terminal disease or whatever..

I have a question (that I forgot to PM Draggi because I just remembered it) - are we still dividing the scrapbook into sections based on countries?

I don't think you should all think this is IMPOSSIBLE.
Why? Because I have participate in these for other artists and it has always worked.
Of course, we need a contact in Japan or else it will get lost~

It would be nice if this was a big scrapbook...almost like a 2" binder. I think it would be a good idea to move the date if we can't get enough people. Maybe we can post this also in ayunite and other forums.

When we send stuff to Johnny's Entertainment,
they don't accept them, only normal sized letters...

It's sent to the Family Club, so you can always walk in there and give letters/etc.

I was thinking of a black or white background (oh yeah is it okay to have a black background? ...it will be hard to print though...) with a bit hollow pic or two of Ayu and a sorta retro and glittery text with the "A" logo. I'm gonna do golden&pink&green/blue versions of it I think..

Like for example, you have a website of a database of all your scrapbook creations for Ayu, then somehow, I don't know how, you can send her the message and the website address, that means less ink, less paper, and a whole lot less time and money wasted. Because I don't even KNOW how you're going to send Ayu this, like are you going to go to Avex headquarters and try to hand it in to them? Because oddly enough, I don't think that's going to work

I think somebody who speak fluent japanese should email Avex and told them who we are and what are we going to do, if they can help us and deliver it to Ayu or something. And it is very important that the email sound serious and convincing!!

I would absolutely love to send Ayu a hand-written letter; a scrapbook of letters and pictures would be awesome, but at this time it doesn't seem the most practical way to get such a big message to Ayu. I think creating a pretty webpage where everyone's messages and work can be displayed and then spamming the crap out of avex with links to the project (or find a TA member who can email/post it for Ayu?) is best.

The time difference between countries means that I was asleep when staff members were meant to meet on MSN. It was 3:50am... :thud

I don't know if this is such a good idea. I'm sure Ayu gets online, but how often? I don't think she'd cherish a webpage as much as she would a scrapbook; she can keep a scrapbook forever, but the webpage might shut down one day. We have a few different ways of sending Ayu stuff as well.

Wow I hope this is the last thread! Though I'm confused...now if there's only one main person really doing the scrapbooking (I think that's how I read some posts), and volunteers willing to get the letters in their mail and e-mail (to print), what's the point besides printing the stuff, to have volunteers? I thought the volunteers would have a hand in assembling the 'scrap book pages' and then send their portion to the main scrapbooker who would take the time to section it by continent/country/whatever, and mail it to Japan...

Someone please explain to me, because I don't think I understand anymore lmao

^ lol We're still doing it like that. ^__^; Draggi is the one we're sending it to. Once we receive the letters (via e-mail or postmail), then we will be making the pages for the letters. (A note for the volunteers, too: you can put more than one letter on each page. Don't make it empty or overcrowded, though.) Like I said, once we're doing making our pages, we'll be sending it to Draggi. And, yes, we are organizing it by continent (instead of country).

Hope this gets rid of all your confusion. =)

Well in the last thread SunShineSlayer posted about being at the site of the fanclub HQ and possibly delivering it, the only concern is that the book might not be completed. Other than that, as for getting it to someone who can give it to ayu, is our biggest obstacle x_x.

So the previous thead with A Mission was turned into this one? Just so we don't have like double things going on.

But this seems very nice and organized. Great idea and name too.

So the chain is like

All fans --> Main continent volunteers --> Draggi, for the creation of the book --> Contact person in Japan --> Avex/Ayu

I just read their post, actually. I honestly think our best bet at the moment would be giving this book to them. The deadline to send the letters / e-mails IS March 1st, 2008; Ayu's 2008 tour begins on April 5th (and the next two dates for Tokyo are the 6th and the 8th). I'm pretty sure we can have the book done by then. (But since Draggi lives in Germany, I wonder how long it'll take for the book to get from there to Los Angeles, where SunShineSlayer lives.) Maybe we should extend the deadline from March 1st to sometime in February. (Not the 1st, but maybe the 15th or something.)

With standard priced mail, a package like that would probably take around 1-2 weeks to get shipped.

I'm afraid that after all the effort that we put, THIS thing doesn't go to ayu's hand :(

Well...now that we have many US and Asian volunteers, we may need another European and South American and Australian one. XD (We definitely do not need any more people from the US volunteering, lol.)

Also, I do hope you read the last page. Someone here on the forums is going to Japan in April (and is going to see Ayu live), and they can most likely give the book to Ayu. Because of that, we may need to make the deadline for e-mails / postmail earlier. (Because it would take sometime to get the package from Germany to LA, where this person lives.)

lol, I doubt I'll actually be able to give it directly to her. :) But I can drop it off at the fanclub, which is probably the closest way. (aside from throwing it onstage, but I don't think my arm is that good!...unless I somehow manage to get front row seats.) I checked out the fanclub address on google maps and it's right next to the main Avex building, a few miles from where I'll be staying. So, I can definitely do it now that I know exactly where it is. But I'll leave it up to the people that are running this thing to decide how to deliver the book!

I should probably mention I'm 99.99% sure I'm going to Japan in September... or would that be too late?

I REALY dont think it should have an image of AYU on the cover. Look at everything AYu has designed - it is simple, eligant and cool. We should try to achieve this. Think of it this way, would you like to recieve a postcard from someone on holiday that has a photo of yourself on it?

this is a chance for us to give something beautiful to Ayu~

it does not have to be boring of cos haha - just this is my thought

*i had a thought that we could all get our fingerprint taken and scan it on, and email to someone, and then hundreds of fingerprints can blot out the background and the writing can be in front. very simple, but nice - personal from us all. It highly depends how it will be printed though. I have some connections in Brisbane for printing - HQ - just depends i guess.*

ALso when we all talking about a "scrapbook" i am picturing a binded book - hehe how are you guys picturing it? do you just mean to stick in a ring binder? or?...
