So the other one was so big it got closed. Yay.

Ok so X finally showed up everywhere in Canada. In all the CD shops I went to they have it listed as a "New February Release" ... It was released here in like November, but I'm quite sure they go by US release anyway. :D

I can't wait to see the new videos for Wow and In My Arms

there's plenty of X CD and CD+DVD version here around, White Diamond is also easily found. I'm still sorta on the fence whether to buy White Diamond or not.

it's sorta expensive (32€) and I do have the original Showgirl tour DVD ...

Um guys do any of you have the track "I Don't Know What It Is" which was apparently a bonus track on the Japanese edition of X ? I'm also looking for the song "Dreams" .. Actually I'm looking for the entire Impossible Princess album in general.. I heard the previews on iTunes and I'm in love with it.. & I love "Did it again" and "Dreams".. I can't find it on any torrent sites or anything..

Also I recently downloaded the Showgirl dvd and there was a song in it that caught my interest; "In Denial".. I love it. Does anyone know where I can get that track? Was it even released?

"In Denial" is a cover song, it's originally by Pet Shop Boys. It's just for the tour, there's not a studio version of it around.

I've been listening to the In My Arms remixes and unfortunately I find them terribly dull. It's a good song, but IMO these remixes fail to do it justice or give it an entertaining new spin.

as for the new music video, it's alright. I don't think it's anything that great but it's still far from being bad. I guess the new video is sorta uninspired. reminds me of Robyns "handle me" UK music video. Roisin is also doing "the avant-garde fashion outfits" thing too ...

I love the new video, it's a huge step in the right direction after the 2 Hearts disaster of a video. I adore the scene where she's in front of that fan, it's adorable!!

I love Wow, it reminds me of Madonna's Sorry video with the silhouettes and the dancing and stuff minus the cage. I think I like In My Arms more but this video still rocks.

Personally, I like the song Wow a hell of a lot more than In My Arms, but I think I liked the video for In My Arms slightly more. I don't know why they can't just release X here in the US already. They need to promote her like they did with Fever if they want any copies sold here though, which I hope they do. The release date for us was pushed back to March, instead of February, so now one more month.

And there's absolutely no way she would be performing at the Superbowl. Are you kidding me? :laugh

Wow is going to be releaed in the US (Kylie.com)... I smell HUGE HUGE HUGE flop for the US market.

IMA would have been a MUCH better choice if not Speakerphone or Like a Drug, silly cow... :shakehead. Her single choices are far worse than that of 20YO!

I think at this point US is sorta irrelevant & I doubt it'll matter how well or bad X will do over there since I'm pretty sure they won't put much effort into the US release ...

if IMA/Wow won't be able to revive X in europe, then X will flop all around :o

Are you referring to janet's 20YO? I thought the single choices were alright (Call on Me -> So Excited -> With U), I don't think they could have picked any other tracks. those three songs are only good tracks on the whole album :D

Nooo I think Wow is good for the US.. It'll remind people of "Love At First Sight" which charted #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 (anything above 40 is considered a hit single).. I think the Wow pv is horrible for North America, it's gonna be made fun of beyond belief, if it even gets noticed that is. But the song can be a radio hit imo

the thing with "Love At First Sight" was tho that it was follow-up to the massive super-hit CGYOOMH . also it's was a great summer song so it was great timing in that sense too. but I doubt LAFS would have been a hit withough the success of CGYOOMH.
the US radio mix of LAFS turned the song into more pop direction rather than the electro-dance feel of the original mix. electronic dance sound isn't really mainstream in the US, I think hearing that the radio stations over there would not even play any CoDF Madonna singles besides Hung Up?

I feel that Wow is probably too cheesy & pop for the US dance scene , and too dance for the US mainstream radio. Like A Drug is more edgier, it would have been a better choice followed by In My Arms and/or The One.

I thought the US Radio mix of LAFS was wayyy more cheesy & pop than the original version. The original doesnt sound "electronic dance" to me at all. The US Radio mix of LAFS is much closer to Wow in sound than the original version

Anyway the US doesn't really matter. I hope Wow (or IMA whichever is released) does good here in Canada. All the Fever singles charted in Canada within top 15 and even Slow got #6.. She is still relevant here so I hope whichever single is released her does well.. :)

How can you not LOVE the US mix of Love At First Sight?? It's 100x better than the original and much more fun to dance to!

I'm just more used to the original mix of Love At First Sight, and it's just better imo. there are fade-outs and build-ups in the original mix, it's really good.

speaking of remixes, are there any good remixes off any X song around. I've listened to the remixes on the promos and nothing really sticks out :o

shame really since Kylie has usually some of the best remixes. LAFS (US mix) , Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head , Come Into My World (Fischerspooner mix) & Slow (Chemical Brothers remix) are my favorites :D

I really like the Butterfly, Light Years, and Impossible Princess mixes.

An interview with "The Hour" would be huge. Believe me it's a hugely rated show on the CBC here in Canada and a lot of people I know watch it.

^ Well Speakerphone charted on the Canadian Singles Chart.. I think it got like #80 on the Top 100... Thats very good considering it was on downloads alone without any promotion whatsoever. So on combined airplay, promotion (The Hour) & downloads it should do well.

That's great to know, hopefully she does the same in the US cause we all know it's not looking good in Europe.

it's carries the Kylie-tradition of leaving good tracks off the album as B-sides lol
its' very upbeat & sounds similar to Wow, it figures tho since it's by the same producers/songwriters.

Carried Away is pretty awesome. While there are quite a few tracks on X that I found dull, the leaked tracks/B-sides mean that overall I've ended up being pretty happy with her X era material.

Carried Away is great but it definitely does not beat Cherry Bomb (My fav B-Side). Do it again is quite crap imho but with the other two I don't really care.

They just showed a clip of the Wow video :D Theyre leading up the canadian coverage of the Brits. I had no idea the Brits were gonna broadcast here in Canada, I'm frigging pumped to see Kylie perform live on my own TV and not like YouTube the next day XD

Okay guys I just watched the interview on The Hour (Canadian show) and this is basically what was discussed

-> Her biography.. Kylie talked a bit about how she got discovered as well as her childhood fantasy of the dad in the neighbour's house being a record producer (Very cute moment XD)

-> The production of X.. Kylie talked a lot about making the album & its production.. She kept talking really slow and getting tongue tied sorta.. She said this time she went into the studio with a lot of emotion but at the same time she wanted to make songs like in the past, like the ones she's known for, therefore the album is a mix of personal lyrics and familiar beats. Um.. she also said the person who produced "Speakerphone" & "Nu-Di-Ty" was gonna produce "No More Rain" but she didn't like their take on it so she got someone else to produce it.

-> Her KYLIEX2008 tour.. The host talked about how she's going even to places celebs normally don't go such as Russia, Latvia etc. They joked about her popularity in Latvia.. Kylie said her mom has gone with her on every tour and the tour staff will cry if she doesn't go this time because they love her, but since Kylie has a nephew she's hinting to them to stay home and spend time with him.. So she said for now both her parents will go with her on the first portion of the tour

-> They talked a bit about how young women in the industry are now having all these like meltdowns and media frenzies & Kylie said she can't speak on their behalf because she never really went through that herself.. she said she'd normally have a few paparazzi at her door but never mobs of them..

-> The Brits. They talked about how Kylie's gonna present an award & talked about Paul McCartney and stuff like that.

So the interview ended up being pretty pointless huh, it was all stuff we already knew, but still great promotion I guess.

It's impossible to really dig out anything personal about kylie during interviews, she has a public persona/image that she upholds and never gets personal anymore.

it's sorta uncommon to have that many eastern european destinations on a tour, but I suppose she can fill an arena once in each. and I'm sure plenty of people from germany and etc will travel to eastern europe destinations to see her, travelling within europe is really cheap these days.

I'm not gonna go see her myself, but I hope there's a DVD of the tour out later.

so Bloodshy & Avant were supposed to do "No More Rain" ? I hope they include their version as a remix on some future single.
it figures tho, her handlers were probably pushing her to include as much of their production as possible since they're "in" at the moment.

"X" isn't doing so hot, "Wow/In My Arms" are doing well on the charts so the album is back doing okayish. but it just won't be a hit album it seems, it's just doing ok.

these new b-sides are really good. "Carried away" is fun & "Do It Again" is great cheesy kylie pop.

"Cherry Bomb" is just genius, the voice manipulations are just perfect. They really should have left Nu-Di-Ty off th album and replaced it with Cherry Bomb, and possibly released it as a single too :D

I know a lot of people don't like the dance-poppy songs on the same album as songs like Sensitized, but for some reason it makes sense to me xDD I just love the whole retro feel of the album 8D My fave tracks are 2 Hearts, Like a Drug, In My Arms, Speakerphone (<333 most addictive song on the album), The One, Wow, Nu-di-ty, and Cosmic~ Cosmic is SUCH a beautiful song, Kylie really has a beautiful voice :3

Kylie is doing surprisingly well in the US iTunes, considering that there's no promotion. but "4 minutes" will end up selling more, i'm sure of it.

IMA & Wow are doing pretty well in Europe. "All I See" is rumored to get a video too for the US promo. I'm pretty sure there's going to be a one more single cut from the album for EU+UK markets tho.

also here's a good remix of In My Arms. supposedly it's a version for the german radio, but it's not confirmed or anything so it might as well be a good fanmade mix.

I'm happy she's going to be on Ellen plus Dancing with the Stars and Today. That's pretty damn good promotion! It might have a chance State side but I don't get why there is no video out yet. If they're going to the trouble of actually promoting it this well then they should have a video.

i'm happy that Kylie has promo in the US & she's doing ok in the iTunes. but I do beleive they had US promo for Body Language too and it bombed hard.
I don't know if All I see is the best possible choice tho, I think rather than mimicking the typical mainstream RnB-pop scene with the rent-a-rappers and all they should go for something that's different from whats the typical "in" thing in the US.
CGYOOMH & LAFS were huge hits and they are not the typical US chart material. tho there isn't quite a song to match those singles on X, but I think Like A Drug or In My Arms would have been better to lead the US promo.
I think it's better for Kylie to set herself apart from other artists rather than mimick them. I like All I See, but I don't see it as a strong single ...
