New single for TBS dorama theme song
 

TBS's next Thursday 10pm dorama "Welcome to Highland" will be using Ayu's first new song as the theme song.

This is a reshoot of a 1976 famous dorama written by Yamada Taichi.

At a deserted highland, there's a abandoned hotel, waiting for rescue by the "Ironman of Hotel"

This dorama was the father of all those dorama with simliar theme (rebuilding of hotel/motel).

Ayumi will be doing the theme song for a TBS drama that starts airing on July 3. The show is titled "高原へいらっしゃい". It is a remake of a show from the 1970's. So far there's no title for the song, but the articles suggest it will be a ballad.

i heard somewhere from another forum that her new single is called DRIFT....i can't actually prove anything cuz this is still in the early stages of producing the song....but i did hear somewhere that drift will come out sometime in the summer..:shrug

well the title "Drift" does suggest a balladesque mood... i hope she does a more upbeat c/w track tho... getting a bit sick of ballads :(

I hope the series is better than "Mukashi no Otoko", which used Endless Sorrow for it's theme song. That was one of the worst series I have ever seen.

According to the description given by HMV, this is apparently gonna be like the H single, with 3 songs on it, one of them will be the theme song of that drama as mentioned, another one will be in a new Kose Visee cm, and another will be the ending song to Ayuready, so yes, 3 tracks, I am like, so freakin excited!!!

Seriously, if Ayu's gonna have 3 tracks in all her singles in future, I don't mind not having any remixes ^^;;

I'm sure at least one, if not two of the songs will be upbeat, considering most of the Visée songs are upbeat. Maybe it'll be similar to "H" with 2 upbeat and one ballad. I'm a bit balled'd (lol, i made up my own word :P) out. I was afraid that it was going to be an only 1 new song single, which would have been frightening, considering she wouldn't be able to get many new single releases in this year. Looks like this year is going to be a repeat of last. But I know she won't be releasing another original album this year. Probably the middle of next year will be when she comes out with another original album. It's weird how she has us spoiled from before with SO many releases all the time. Anyway, I can't wait for ayu-mi-x 5 :) So much to look forward to in the upcoming months ^_^

Her new single should come out the 9th of July but we don't know the title of it yet. There should be 3 new tracks, a ballad for the credit of a Drama, the new theme of the ad of Visee and the new theme for her show, Ayu-Ready Beach House.

Avex Trax has already announce a big campaign of promotion for the single, and also said that they are really confident that Ayu could become the best artitst 2003, so we can suppose that she will release a lot of single during the 2nd semester.

This 29th single of Ayu will be release 10 months after her last single Voyage!!! It's the first time for Ayu that there is so much time between two single.
The sell of her album Rainbow didn't exceed the 2 millions, it's less than they expected...and only 900 000 copies of [A] BALLADS were sold. So this new single will be a very importante single for the rest of her carrier.
We can notice that according to some japanese and taiwanese magazine, Ayu accepted to take nude photo of her for some masculine magazine, with the intention of raising her popularity....But I don't think it's true....

I hope Ayu will regain her popularity. I will support her no matter what happens. If I had a little bit more money, I'd purchase a whole bunch of RAINBOW albums and A Ballads albums just so the sales would go up..

I went to the TBS website to find this so called Dorama. Well it's a little different from what I have herad. I does have that Noriko Fujiwara from "Mukashi no Otoko" what a coincidence. It also isn't about some hotel. But I could be wrong and it is placed in the 70's. But you can chenck it out for yourself.

It has Fujiwara Norika? They must like to put her in doramas with Ayu songs as the theme song. Mukashi no otoko was a twisted dorama.

I think you are looking at a different program chikyuu13. The title of this one is 高原へいらっしゃい (according to kawai the english title is "Welcome to Highland") and it stars Satou Kouichi, Haruka Ikawa, Takewaki Muga, and Masahiko Nishimura.

I wonder what's the title? I mean if you put "A" and "H" together(puns sorta-the letter A is pronounced eh? which means what and H is pronounced ecchi, which is like pervert or something.), you get the first letter of Ayu's names. I hope she makes pvs this time, cause in 2002 she didn't make that many-only 4, and so far only one in 2003.

I hope it has remixes too. Maybe they'll be rock songs.. I have no idea.. Maybe a rap song, ballad, dunno.

Thanks for the information^_^ Can't wait. I hope there's a R&B type song on the single...I think she does better singing R&B type songs than pop. Her ballads are good but her "Rainbow" album had too many ballads on it, I think a R&B/Hip-Hop single would be refreshing to hear from Ayu. Hip-Hop/R&B is getting pretty popular in japan and Ayu started out in the music industry as a rapper (until people told her that she should sing instead). But I'm a R&B fan so I'd like a R&B song better than a ballad or upbeat rock song. If she was to release a R&B song I think the style should be similar to the things Toni Braxton, Amerie, or Amanda Perez do.

But I still can't wait to hear her new single.

Well if Ayu came out with an R&B song, that'd be like going against Utada Hikaru.

Ah, no I dun like the R&B song and Hip-hop ,too. She will be more like Hikki. Cuz, I hate Hikki most all my life and will continue till die. I just like the song First love and Sakura doroppusu. I wanna Ayu sing this 2 song someday. Just wonda what it likes.

}{ sold a million copies and it only had 3 new songs. It's just a single (and many singles will only have 2 or 1 new songs). It just depends on the person who's buying if they think it's worth it or not.

i don't think ayu can sing those two songs...besides, hikki wrote/composed them herself. and i like all her songs.

If it has 6 different version, it has 3 songs and of course instrumetal ( all singles should have instrumental right) then that means there is 12 tracks on ayu's upcoming single. yeah that is a good thing.
