zoomzoom 4th February 2008 12:03 PM

Wasn't this news weeks ago? Or was that just rumors.. anyway, if they said she had every mental illness in the world, I'd believe it.

AyuGAME 4th February 2008 01:24 PM

what kind of disorder it is?
maybe impact breaker can explain it to us

ayu_ready? 4th February 2008 02:09 PM

BIPOLAR DISORDER

Qt Mashi 4th February 2008 02:12 PM

ayumisrael 4th February 2008 02:55 PM

I pity her.

ImpactBreaker 4th February 2008 03:19 PM

See, while some people were completely ridicularizing her as if she was doing some pathetic attention seek, I told she had some sort of illness. :yes

It's a mental disorder in which the person may either suffer from "mania" or "depression", with one shifting/cycling over the other over time. They're kinda opposites in terms of mood behavior. If the person only suffers "mania" but never "depression", it is also considered bipolar disorder.

Mania:

-person gets too hyper and agitated
-ideas flow extremely fast, causing confusion
-talks excessively, but most things are rather nonsense, because of the confusion
-loses attention
-excessive energy
-becomes aggressive
-can't sleep at all
-potential for sex and drugs abbuse

Depression:

-sadness
-lack of energy
-pessimism
-hopelessness
-irritability
-potential for suicide

Patients with mania do a lot of incovenient and bizarre things, and that could easily explain some of Britney's latest behaviors.

AyuGAME 4th February 2008 03:24 PM

^thanks for the explanation
i feel pity for her...i think she not ready yet for becoming huge like she is now...i still remember her baby one more time era, and i love her for the first time i see baby one more time MV, i thought wow, this girl can be a huge artist someday, but time after time she becoming lose control of herself, sigh...

Alison 4th February 2008 03:33 PM

He's a poser, but personally I'm really annoyed by people blaming him for "ruining" Britney. He wasn't even the first "married with kids" dancer she hooked up with and if she has been officially diagnosed and it's not just a gossip site jumping to conclusions to get more press, I think it's even less fair to blame Kevin for any mental illness. Her behaviour had sometimes been questionable, just not as highly publicised, before she met him (that Vegas wedding is just one example).

If there are people who should be blamed, I'd pick ones like the record exec who first signed her: “She looked like the sweet, All-American girl that you just wanted to defile and do bad things to, and that appealed to me" - now that's an unhealthy influence on a teenager!

ImpactBreaker 4th February 2008 04:07 PM

Yeah, Kevin has nothing to do with this condition she has.

alternarist 4th February 2008 05:03 PM

sighs.

the "Baby Give me One More Time" girl in 18, life being destroyed. :(:( i pity her.

summersnow 4th February 2008 05:12 PM

this is really very sad. =(

lalalaomg 4th February 2008 09:55 PM

My mom has bipolar, it's quite easy to control. When it was really bad, she wouldn't sleep, she heard voices telling her the house and the cars were going to blow up, that she was pregnant (Which is impossible because she had a tubal) and yeah, she was crazy. x.x

but now she's a-okay. It's not a difficult disease. She's on tons of medication now because of her disease, but she's alot better than what she once was. It's no suprise to me that she has bipolar.

Seishou 4th February 2008 09:57 PM

Took so much time to say something that almost everyboy realized.

This is sad for her fans that one day tried to say "This is just a bad moment of her life".

zeroshin888 4th February 2008 10:13 PM

i feel sorry for her before, now i feel even more sorry for her!
can those with this disorder recover from it??

rikku411 4th February 2008 10:19 PM

Aww, that's really sad :(

I don't think there's any "recovery" but she can take medicine to get it under control if need be.

There's no cure, but there's a treatment that controls the symptoms.

yeah... you're right ¬¬

Wet well soon Brit!

JaysenRyan 5th February 2008 12:30 AM

As a person with BiPolar themselves, I must say this is a very sad and damaging disorder. It is really hard just living day to day unless you take medication (which I do thank goodness). There has been a point in my lfie where I was not taking it, and I was out of control and always getting angry over nothing and breaking things and crying out of nowhere, getting severely depressed, and almost committed suicide a few times. Don't feel sorry for me though because that's what it took for me to finally get help. I am not 100% cured, but the medication makes each day easier to handle, and it's easier to keep my emotions under control.

Britney has all my love and sympathy at this time, and I only hope she seeks the proper treatment and gets well.

Yoake 5th February 2008 11:33 AM

I don't like her but it's really sad.

heartplace83 5th February 2008 01:14 PM

poor britney. ive loved her ever since she 1st came out. now if only the stupid media would stop bothering her.

Faiza 6th February 2008 08:33 PM

my dad is bipolar, so i know what its like on a day-to-day basis, i hate all these britney bashers, i hope she realises that if she takes one day at a time and takes whatever medication she needs she'll feel better sooner or later

ayuayu798 6th February 2008 09:13 PM

I feel sorry for her...but I'm not surprised at all, by this ^^

Kikaru 8th February 2008 01:58 AM

I suspected it was either depression or bipolar.

Although I'm not a fan, my sympathies goes out to her, because she really needs professional help, and hopefully now they will help her do the best she can with the disease.

majrakun 8th February 2008 02:49 AM

Wow, I've always thought it was just depression. I think I pity her kids more, though..

CHE.R.RY 8th February 2008 05:48 AM

Well like you said Luv...it's not really a surprise and the signs were there. But I hope everything works out for her.

naxxo.licious™ 8th February 2008 06:55 AM

WOOT!! I haven't saw this thread before XDD!!

Poor Britney. then she was indeed sick after all :(

I hope she can get a great treatment so that she can live "normal" form now on :yes

ayumixfan 8th February 2008 07:05 AM

I hope Britney can still release. She is a good artist nonetheless. The media has been evil to her. Hopefully she will recover T_T

extepan 10th February 2008 07:07 AM

with all the stress she is facing, i am not surprised.

ayumixfan 10th February 2008 12:46 PM

^ hm can it be formed due to stress? thats scary =S

KarenPang 11th February 2008 06:29 AM

it's like that when you're a childhood star & you're growing up fast in front of the public eye . Lindsay Lohan's another one who fallen victim to this .

Having said that , it's the artiste's decision/choice on what to do & what not to do .

I know the media sometimes can really make or break you apart . They should leave her alone & that she should seek professional help before it's too late !
