Yes, i have the same feeling
is a song to sings on the ruins of a devasted and dead love, and singing before decide to let the feeling go, and move on. beautiful cover |
I love it. One of LP's highlights.
|
but the ending... when she says watashi wa totemo suyoi kara and it cuts off...
i think its supposed to mean that shes not honest about it. |
I really like that song, it's so unique and recognizable (in a good way)
|
I love this song =)
|
that video is amaizng!!!
the guitar sounds pretty good! thanks for sharing! |
This was one of the songs that got me really into ayu...and that cover is AWESOME. I wish these people would make good recordings of their work...like those guys on the piano. I mean, come on.
|
i like this song too...not sure abt the lyrics, may go check out later...lol...the cutting off at the end of the song makes it rather unique :yes
|
Monochrome is one of my favourite Ayu songs ever. It has wonderful lyrics and the music, which sounds really cool. I don't know is it some mix of rock and eurobeat, but it sounds like them. :p I love this song, because it sounds so unique, and it really is dark. Even creepy. .__. But it still has a special place in my heart. <3

monochrome is one of the best ayu's ever song...
i like this song and single "A" was the 1st single that i'd bought,... the guitar, drum and all instrument was great... i never get bored with this song |
monochrome is really unique... the last part, it just cuts off like that. Very special and distinctive imo. I just love the whole LOVEppears album possessing that eurobeat/techno sort of sound... very nice and fresh... it's been a long time since we've such an album from Ayu.

the cover is very good. the guy's voice sounded like a true japanese male singer. love it!

i think it means obody is taking that serious, because on the single version someody sais "yeah, right..." to me this song is about her life in avex, i don't know but i do not get any feeling of relationship in there |
It is amazing and one of my must0-listen songs in summer days or when I look to the orange sky of the sunset it is so nostalgic.
I remember when I went to the beach and watch sunset while listening to this song, or on the top of my campus I saw orange sky with metropolis buildings. The lyric is beautiful too, |
yup I like this song very much. very unique. =)
|
i like the interlude also..
very unique song... she must sing this song more often |
Does anyone have the english lyrics? And I agree, this song is amazing, it was the standout track on LP for me the first time I listened to it

(^ click the smiley hehe) My only disappointment with this song was that it wasn't shown at a-nation '07. Such a shame, too, because it really is a unique song! |

I think the version you had is the single version in which a male voice can be heard, whereas the album version just stops all of a sudden. |

..and she really does sound AWESOME. :) Go little ayu, go! |

thank you |
It's nostalgic, it's on my most favorite song on LOVEppears, it gives a lonely child lyrics feeling on the way to grow up, and I love how this song sounds, great song.

yaay monochrome lovers thread, at last ^^
I've always been a big fan of this song, from the first time listening. and I bought the single because I loved it so much! I've also thought about a PV for it some time ago... Ayu is walking through a city, with deserted streets and concrete buildings, everything seems dead and the houses are at some point broken and incomplete. Ayu's hair is long, brown, unkempt, she's wearing a long white dress that's dirty at the hem, and everythings in b/w. at some point, the scene becomes coloured, but the colours disappear quickly. this happens in ever shorter sequences. Ayu's turning around from time to time to look behind her shoulder as if there was someone else, but there isn't. at the end, she enters a building and starts climbing the stairs. first slowly, and when there are more and more flimmerings of colour, she becomes faster until she's standing on the top of the building, where everything's bright and grass and flowers growing all over the place. but then she turns around again, and everything is as b/w as it was before. |
monochrome has got to be one of my most favourite from ayu!
I used to hate the cut-off at the end, but later I understand what did ayu wanna represent with that - "She was trying to say she's strong while the guy at the end thought it was a joke, leaving ayu sad and angry and left". I actually got quite teary for sometimes while listening to this song. :P |
is there anyone hate monochrome??
i just want to know :D |
there's always someone who dislikes it...
yet, thissongsso nice. too bad there was no a-nation clip for it. both this and fated made me bawl... |
