speculation about GUILTY/ayu-mi-x 6 World Release Dates

(I need to change part of the title from "ayu-mi-x 6" to "GUILTY"...)

As we all know, GUILTY is being released in 25 different countries (with 19 of them being Western countries) on the 12th (of what I'm assuming is March).

Unfortunately, the article does not tell which countries it will be released in. We already know it's been released in a few countries (right after the Japan release date), so does anyone know where GUILTY will be released on the 12th?

Biscuit 9th March 2008 06:33 AM

I thought the article said GUILTY was going to be released in 25 countries, not Ayu-mix 6.

leo_nardez 9th March 2008 06:36 AM

aren't vinyls supposed to be released on 9 April?
1 day after mirrorcle world??

Ayumiko 9th March 2008 06:46 AM

I thought guilty is being released worldwide not the remix albums.

chocopockymaster 9th March 2008 07:02 AM

...what the hell are you talking about?

zoomzoom 9th March 2008 07:24 AM

:laugh Haha total confusion. I think the worldwide release was only mentioned in that article.. so nobody knows any dates yet.

tasking 9th March 2008 07:38 AM

God, it's like no one read the article.

Kobayashiwoof 9th March 2008 07:39 AM

any sources?

polka-dot-jewel 9th March 2008 07:44 AM

Woops, my bad. XD I guess I thought it was ayu-mi-x 6 since that's what the majority of the article was talking about, but anyway...

I'll go off and change the first post, but I still couldn't find any upcoming release dates for anything Ayumi on the international sites I checked.

I believe that is a mistranslation. What they mean is, that the remix albums will include some songs from GUILTY. Read the human translation.

minna 9th March 2008 02:27 PM

ok so now it's GUILTY or the remix og some songs from GUILTY?
freakin' confused now XD

hmm well 19 are western and since a major part of her remixes are from canadian djs I guess she will release here nope? (ayu, you better release in canada because we will be angry fans :grumpy... XD)

so there is USA AND CANADA
there must EUROPE too
and she will probably release in FRANCE (EUROPE) ?

the things is there are no article about where...
and I want so much to support her and buy

Neo Daydream 9th March 2008 02:40 PM

minna, Europe is a continent, not a country...

i'm guessing the US, Canada, France, England... and i'm too tired to try to think of any others lol

ayumisrael 9th March 2008 02:44 PM

I hope we will get some here in Israel T_T

Yeah, I changed the first post to include "GUILTY" instead of "ayu-mi-x". (The title is still the same, unfortunately.)

I just read the original translation, and even that states that GUILTY will be released in 25 countries, not that songs from it will be included on ayu-mi-x 6. (I could be misreading it, but I'm pretty sure that's what it says.)

lol I changed the first post. ^^; (A long time ago...) It's GUILTY being released internationally.

Yeah, I really want to know where it'll be released, too. I'd love to buy a US-version of GUILTY!! =D

The first translation is almost not understandable, translated by excite.com

Original excite translation:
Quote:

Singer Ayumi Hamasaki (29) puts remix album "ayu?mi?x6" on the market on the 26th. ---- The collection tune of latest album "GUILTY" is delivered to 25 countries in the world on the 12th.

I still believe GUILTY will NOT be released in 25 countries, but songs from GUILTY on the remix albums.

Bad Wolf 10th March 2008 12:01 AM

I'm so confused and excited and I'm not even sure why anymore :(

Oh, you're right...dang. It's confusing, because it really could be ayu-mi-x 6 being released internationally, instead of GUILTY...hmm, well, I still can't find anything Ayu coming out soon on the sites I've searched, so I guess we'll have to wait and see~

Suteisi 10th March 2008 02:13 PM

I wonder which stores wil carry them...
I mean, if the stores don't believe they will sell, would they really want to carry them? Back in 2000, it took forever for me and some of my friends to get music CDs from England to Canada. Imagine Japan x.x;;

sugarbasil 10th March 2008 05:29 PM

I went to Best Buy's website (it's the biggest computer software chain in the US) to see if they'd have either or up, and this is what I got:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....s&nrp=15&iht=n

So no GUILTY or Ayu-mi-x 6. :( However they have a bunch of other random CDs, but I ain't paying $55 for RAINBOW. Nuh uh.

I found Hikki's ULTRA BLUE for $20 there a few months ago. Overseas edition, but it was still nice to see it out on the shelves! There was only one copy, though, and I bought it. :P

ownsarai 10th March 2008 07:27 PM

Which ever one is being released internationally, I wonder if it will have different content, as in pictures or special things that come with it...probably not though. :(

I also wonder if they sell Ayu albums in the actual stores at Best Buy, if so, I'm so going to buy glitter/fated single, $16 isn't too bad...

Halla 10th March 2008 07:32 PM

maybe this whole international release thing means they will offer ayu-mi-x 6 on iTunes?

Zachery! 10th March 2008 08:02 PM

^ Halla, I hope not ... I want the actual CDs ... seriously. :(

It said online that they didn't have it in the store. I think you have to buy it online. :( I wonder if that'll change if the end up carrying GUILTY/Ayu-mi-x 6...

ownsarai 10th March 2008 08:56 PM

^I hope so, I would love to walk into Best Buy and see a huge GUILTY or ayu-mi-x 6 promotion poster! (Though I know that won't happen). But it would still be great to atleast see them on the shelves~

I agree, it's way too unclear and it could be her using foreign DJs even. I doubt it'll release in 25 MORE countries. I tried to think of which it could be, but there are only so many music markets left that are big enough to even make if worth it. Ayu's done relatively safe things expanding before (Buildt a STRONG fanbase abroad before going etc), it's unlikely that some fans in Paris will suddenly cause an expansion everywhere (yes, 25 more countries would probably make her release on all inhibited continents except maybe africa?). GUILTY has already been released in singapore, china, hong kong, taiwan and japan, other potential markets would probably include France, Germany, USA, Canada, Russia, the UK, Mexico and or Bresil and possibly even Spain, Scandinavia (who despite the number of citizens has some countries among the top 20 music markets lol), Italy, Benelux + western continental europe and rest southeast asia. I just have a hard time counting to twenty.

Another issue is that she would have to spend more time touring and less concerts in japan possibly if she was to make it around the world. COncerts are getting more and more important compared to physical CD sales and it would be hard for her to break it if she didn't make tours. This would probably also at this point leave her with some smaller venues (till she may gain more fame in the west) which as a consequence leads to TWO tours with separate choreography etc. ALl in all the big release doesen't seem likely at the stage.

Today I've been on iTunes Spain listening to songs I wanted to buy and I wrote 'ayumi hamasaki' just in case... and O___O Guilty is available in iTunes Spain!!!!! I was like... OMG!!!!!! It wasn't on sale before and for me it was a big surprise. Does this mean that Ayu is finally going worldwide????!!!!!

This is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!

It's in Norwegian iTunes too :rubeyes They added GUILTY yesterday, awesome! :D

Justex 12th March 2008 11:27 PM

It's on German itunes as well :luv2
Let's hope for a world-wide physical release then :)

polka-dot-jewel 13th March 2008 12:42 AM

It's now on the US store, too!! On the Spain and Norway iTunes stores, are there other Ayu singles and albums there, too, or just GUILTY?

lol I thought GUILTY was overpriced at $11.99 (on the iTunes store), but all her albums are now $11.99 instead of the original $9.99. :-/ Hmm, they must be raising their prices...

Neferet 13th March 2008 09:15 PM

Guilty is the only one on sale on the spanish iTunes store :/ 11.99 euros.

Let's hope they put more of her singles and albums, or at least mirrorcle world when it comes out!!!!!!!

polka-dot-jewel 13th March 2008 09:50 PM

^ Hmm...well, that's weird how they're priced the same on both the Spain and the US iTunes. :-/

Maybe this is a sign that she'll be releasing more stuff worldwide? Thousands (millions?) of people download stuff on iTunes everyday, so for her (or rather Avex) to start putting GUILTY on these other iTunes is definitely a sign of her wanting to promote her music on an international level.

I'd be super happy if Mirrocle World was released over here, to be honest! Haha, I doubt that would happen, but that would be super amazing. <3

ohsixthirty 13th March 2008 10:16 PM

well...i don't expect that she'll start releasing physical copies of her cd's worldwide, but rather it'll just be on itunes and such. she's had a large amount of music available on US itunes for a while, so its no surprise to see avex adding her new releases.

the thing is though, does anyone actually think people will purchase her music from itunes? i think most fans of hers across the globe are more likely to just download her songs from a forum or wherever and less likely to buy her music from itunes. i could be wrong though.

Catzi 13th March 2008 10:46 PM

She's always had stuff on iTunes though, so this isn't really anything new.

minna 13th March 2008 11:38 PM

GUILTY is also on Canadian Itunes!

I really hope she will release the cds in shop around the world
it would be so awesome

Neferet 13th March 2008 11:43 PM

She has never had any song on Spanish iTunes... and it seems that Norwegian & Canadian iTunes didn't had her music either... Great news for us!!!!!!!!! ^__^

Yeah, it's weird that US and european iTunes have the same prices :-/

I'm definitely going to support Ayu buying her music on iTunes now I can do it!!! ^^

I'm sure some people might purchace, but I personally don't like iTunes. AAC/mp4 sucks :o

polka-dot-jewel 14th March 2008 03:30 AM

I've purchased maybe one song of Ayu's from iTunes, hahaha. (It was the "is this LOVE?" instrumental.) I may have purchased something else... [shrugs] I wish they had her videos on the US iTunes; I'd buy those!!!

Eh, enough people purchase her songs on iTunes. XD Obviously in Japan, but on the US store, a lot of her top songs change around, because more and more people are buying them. Plus, if they weren't buying them, I'm sure they wouldn't be putting some of her new stuff on there.
