"Otome" avex 20th anniversary mini-drama project
 

avex recently started their 20th anniversary celebration project that features a bunch of artists acting in dramas like misono, Ami Suzuki, and YU-KI from TRF. Read the explanation below for more info!

A week after each one airs, they will be available to stream on the website by clicking the screencap. #1-#47 are currently available. [7/4 Japanese time] However, clips older than 2 weeks old are shortened to 47 seconds to encourage the purchase of the Otome DVDs.

I'm pretty excited about this, and it seems like this is the way that they're gonna celebrate the 20th anniversary~

I'm surprised no one really knows about it though.. :o

Anyways, 100 songs will be used from the avex discography, so any song released in the last 20 years is ripe to be chosen as a song used in the dramas.

Wow, that's a lot of songs!!...and I'm surprised "glitter" was chosen. Seriously? Don't get me wrong, I love "glitter" (on select days), but Ayu has had bigger hits. Hmm, maybe more than one of her hits will be used?

They may have...? I doubt they've had that many artists with BIG hits, anyway. I'm willing to bet Ayu has the most songs on those CDs, haha.

Kuu should have some of her songs on there I think. I'm sure many people will agree with me.

Anyway, I'm sure more Ayu will be chosen. Will Namie have some songs too?

Well, they've so far used some pretty diverse artists... Ayu, ELT, Janne de arc, Genki Rockets..

lol They probably won't...it would just be hilarious if they were to actually be on there, though. XD As far as Kuu goes, I'm thinking "Koi no Tsubomi", "Butterfly", "real emotion", or "1000 no Kotoba" will be on there...

The little dramas are really interesting. I wonder if Ayu will act in one later? It's only two minutes after all.

although she's not acting but thank GOD avex still remember her

real Emotion, WIND, you, Yume no Uta, girls, Butterfly, Cutie Honey or with you smile might be there. I doubt JUICY or BUT will be there. But bare in mind that out of those 20 years, Ku has barely been popular the last 3. So there are a lot of other songs to cover those 17 years, and I can bet we'll be seeing at least 3 TRF songs there.
And since they put Peruseusu there, and not Amairo no kami no otome, and Ayu's glitter instead of one of her million-sellers, of course they'll be using more songs of the same artist.

BUT would be a good one but whatever...

I think GO MY WAY by hitomi should be one of her songs.
JEWEL should be one of Ayu's despite it not being a single...

Her week of the dramas are already over. They're using OLD songs for the dramas, so basically anything released in the last 20 years [before April]~

Well it would be disappointing if random songs are chosen for like episode 50 or the final one :dead2 I'm just guessing that the later episodes will have bigger stars act in them (Ayu, Koda??) so they would get the more popular songs.

Well, so far, they have not reused any artists, and as of right now, there will be 100 episodes of this drama.

I wonder if they'll be using only one song from each avex artist? :\

I can't seem to be able to stream any of them? I ran the message through Babelfish and I get the feeling I'm missing something to be able to view it. I've tried IE and FF and got the same thing.

It's not a "flop."

It's just a 2 minute long thing that airs each night. They're doing this more for the celebratory nature of it, not for ratings, jeez. It'll be on DVD anyways.


Babelfish probably won't help you since it's all flash.

Click any of the earlier ones and then there'll be a Play symbol.. and you should be able to see 1-12.. more recent episodes are not viewable.

And the Ayu one seems to be "No Doubts! Otome"... each one of these episodes seems to be able a different kind of woman. :O I wonder what the purpose of these is really about... other than the 20th anniversary of course.
