Ayupans in a French Shop's Magazine !
 

I live in France and there is a shop entitled LECLERC and in his magazine this month there are Ayupans to decorate rubric "footwear for little girls". I don't know if LECLERC has the rights to use them ... It's really strange !!! Where did it find them ? LOL XD What do Avex think ?!

I wonder where they got the idea to use ayupans.

It's weird to see them in a French magazine... makes me wonder how they got it.

I think those are the same designs from the the font lots of ayupans and the A logos. the designer must have found the font and used the ayupans, or he probably is a fan and used them.

it's cute tho.

I too wonder if whoever it was found the font with the Ayu pan to use them because they are cute.. hmm

mmmh I think they found them from Dafont or other site and they chose to use them. I don't think they know really what Ayupans are!

I'm sure they got permission to use them... LECLERC is like the Wal-Mart of France, so I'm sure they wouldn't use them without permission.

I think they violated the copyright of AyuPans from that.

lol Why is everyone thinking that Avex is gonna go haywire and this is all bad? Like I said, they MOST LIKELY got permission for it. Why would a big company like LECLERC use an artists images and not get permission to use them? I doubt they'd wanna get sued and have to pay all these big fines because they didn't get permission.

"ayupan" is from AXEV, the merchandising label of Avex Trax.

I don't think it's legal too .

This's copyright infringement on the magazine's part . If avex's pissed , they can sue them to get hold of some royalty $ back .

If not , they probably will close 1 eye on this matter which I doubt that will happen .

lol How do we know that they did or didn't get permission? The crediting of Avex may be in another part of the magazine that we didn't see...

because you don't know whether the magazine did credited avex or not & judging from the scans , it's difficult to say

It looks like they just thought they were 'cute' and used them.

I doubt they even know what an Ayupan is! lol Maybe a French local will point that out to them ;) (before they get sued!!!)

I highly doubt they are using them legally. I'm pretty sure that to do so, they would have to pay copyright fees, which might be extremely high knowing Avex, especially since they are sort of a property of Ayu also.

And I'm pretty sure also, that to do this properly/legally, they would have to credit Avex Trax on every page they use the ayupan logos.

I don't know what would Avex think about this....

Well, Ayu did travel to France to film Mirrorcle Word after all. Maybe that magazine company is sponsoring some aspect of her travel there.. and got to know avex indirectly? And then they just got wind of AyuPan from avex and thought it was cute and used it... I guess they most likely paid some money to avex already.

I mean avex is SO stingy and stringent with their products being used without their permission *cough*youtube*cough* so yah...

^I'm pretty sure she means the French magazine doesn't know what ayupan is...if they do know what it is and used it anyhow without permission, well, I feel bad for them. They will have a pretty big lawsuit on their hands, because we all know how avex is.
