So,if you would ever be asked,which song in Jpop music industry do you think is your favourite?One and only?

I know it is hard,but try to pick just one!

Sorry if something like this already exists,I just couldn't help myself because it's really interested to see people choosing their just 1 most favourite Jpop song!

um, right now if I had to pick one, my favorite j-pop song would be...

AAA - Red Soul

that's a really hard one!!
I guess if I had to only pick one, I would choose BUT by Koda Kumi because I loved it from the beginning and still love it to this day.

I guess if I had to choose just one, I'd pick "First Love" by Utada Hikaru. I'm not nearly as big of a Hikki fan as I once was 5 years ago, but it was one of my first jpop songs ever. I only had a crappy version at the time, but I listened to it over and over.

It's gorgeous and you never get tired of it, too. :)

I STILL find myself listening, watching, loving 'feel' by Kuu so I have to go with that song. I never got tired of it (yet) It's just so beautiful. Even if I can barely understand the chorus the whole atmosphere is amazing. And the PV is so gorgeous I can't get enough of it! And the instrumental is even better - I can see myself doing the nasty to it lol

but I love GOLF & MIKE - Nippon Ai Ni Iku Yo but I love KAT-TUN - GOLD too gaah I can't choose 1 song ><

hmmm. i'd have to go with Shuuji to Akira - Seishun Amigo. it just oozes j-pop and it really holds a significant meaning to me. :) and it's fun & there's a dance to it, LOL.

i would've picked something Ayu, but idk. there's just too many Ayu songs i like and i can't just pick one! haha.

Utada Hikaru - Sakura Drops ..... the best Song EVER !!! The melody, the lyrics and her Voice. The best Song ever ever ever ever ever ever ..........................

But it was Deep River (album) that got me back into Jpop so I think all of the songs from that are excellent haha

I really can't choose. It'd have to be one of Namie or Kuu's songs, but I like so many of them that I can't decide. =S

This is sooooooooooooooooo hard.

For right now, I'm going to say Paradox by w-inds., since it was the song that got me into j-pop and it has a really special place in my heart. :heart

I might come back and change my mind later though. >>

ayu's Depend on you.

I chose it only because I've never put a song on repeat so many times in my entire life.
And I wasn't an ayu fan when I heard it since it was the first song of ayu I've heard.
However it was kumi's real Emotion who got me to jpop in the first place, but I didn't repeat over that song too much.

It's very hard but this I think is my #1. It's just so unique and amazing, I love every bit of it...the lyrics are so meaningful too.

Other picks I love in this thread were M, First Love, and Final Distance. All very amazing and in my top 100 of all-time Jpop somewhere, methinks.

It's the song that got me into JPop and I've never gotten tired of hearing it.

It's pretty hard to pick the best one but I guess I would either say Hitomi Shimatani - Destiny ~Taiyou no Hana~ or Ayu's A Song For XX.

My favorite song of all time would have to be Be My Last by Hikki. I don't know, when I first heard that song, I thought it was really boring, and unlike her. But then, the single was released, and I REALLY changed my mind. The lyrics are so beautiful and the guitar/piano mixed in the chorus was really melancholy and sad. I've played this song more than any other and it really played a big part in my life.

ah i would say SURREAL, it's like a mix of everything and ayu doesn't go too high on it, it would be the song i introduce to my friends, and i think Come by namie would be good too

Amazing Kiss by BoA. It is my all-time favorite BoA song, and my all-time favorite J-Pop song. The arrangement and composition are fantastic, and it has an altogether true J-Pop feel. To me, it still sets the standard for all other pop music.

I hate these topics where you gotta choose your absolute favourite over hundreds and hundreds favourite songs. :D Well, I'm going to choose something now. Actually, I think I'll choose 1-2 songs from each artist I listen to. :)

ayumi hamasaki - Duty would be the one I want to choose. I will always remember how I pictured Ayu singing this in that panther costume she has in Duty's cover pictures. This somehow made me think like that and I have no idea why. :0 I guess that song was kind of panther-like or something. :p And this song has good feel to it. I really got shivers going down my spine when I heard this for the first time 2 years ago. Duty has awesome music, lyrics and Ayu sounds really cool. <3

ayumi hamasaki - talkin' 2 myself, of course. If I chose these songs thinking of how they are about me, it would be No way to say and M here, but now I'm talking about how I felt when I heard these songs. Talkin' 2 myself made me almost freak out with its PV. There was like war zone feeling in it, so I was thinking that something will happen soon, but Ayu just danced. :'3 Becides talkin' 2 myself is really awesome and I was hoping for something like NEVER EVER, Because of You or is this LOVE? kind of song. When talkin' 2 myself came out, I was totally into Ayu's music again (you see, I don't really like Secret as an album, but it's not so bad as it could be).

Koda Kumi - Yume no Uta because I become REALLY emotional when I hear this song. I always start crying while hearing this one. This is so beautiful and wonderful winter ballad. It's absolutely one of the most loveliest songs I have ever heard. <3

Koda Kumi - walk is very personal to me, this is why I chose this one. I have always loved walk, but since I read the lyrics, I've been quite touched. This is beautiful and lyrics are wonderful.

Namie Amuro - Put 'Em Up is absolutely one of most awesome songs EVER. I love this into bits. ^_^ I was totally into it right away when I heard this and I also got badly hooked into Amuro's music. :D I don't understand why this song flopped to top the charts. :< But yeah, awesome song this is. <3

Namie Amuro - Body Feels EXIT is one song that needs a lot of respect not just as Amuro's debut single, but as a classic. I can't understand why I didn't listen to this one sooner. I thought this is crap, but it wasn't and I was thought wrong. :3

Utada Hikaru - Stay Gold is my total favourite (well, other one of those) from Hikki's songs. This is beautiful R&B song that really reminds me of the songs on Distance somehow. And I love that album. :3 Stay Gold is also really beautiful and it has wonderful lyrics.

Utada Hikaru - Addicted To You is my #1 favourite from Hikki. :) I love this song so much I'm always grinning like a idiot when this starts playing on my playlist. <3

I think tho something sung by Emi, Utada or Ayu for it to be the BEST in terms of how well the song is sung, but its not just about that.... The Video clip, the promos for it, how its used and the emotion it is sung with also matter a lot. Emi sings with emotion really well

It's an extremely hard thing to pick, but a few songs come to mind for me as the absolute best, Keep Tryin' by Hikki, Faces Places and Anytime Smokin' Cigarette by globe, Evolution by Ayu and Legend (Main) by Mika Nakashima. If I had to narrow it down I think I'd give it to Faces Places.

When I first heard a radio rip of this song, I seriously cried.

that's like the best non single on the pacific album . It's practically Tegoshi's song although Shige & Ryo are credited alongside with him but still I hear more of Tegoshi than the other 2
