Hey, a second thread! It's so nice to know people love Kanon.

So far we have no news from Kanon, there's an interview up on the Vampire Knight site from Mana explaining things but other than that everything's silent.

Something I didn't know either. Kanon provided the voice for the maid in episode 8 of Vampire Knight.

Also If anybody wants, The themes behind Kanon's two songs.

"Still Doll"
The main character of this song is a little girl, and I wrote this song in the image of the girl talking to her beloved doll.
Her heart, which has become empty after loneliness and sadness has passed through it, has a sense of nothingness.
Her heart which has become like a doll's.
But the girl is a human, and again she has feelings, and despite the emptiness, I wrote the song with the idea of her sadness and her love for the doll.

"Kuroi Torikago"
Enemies up, down, left, right, in all directions, just like a bird in a black birdage.
Fear and anxiety, pushing past things that cannot be seen and yet still having rules to follow, having people you want to protect, having thoughts to defend, and the strength to protect those things--I wrote this song with those adamant thoughts.
Those kinds of feelings aren't easy to go though, but for that reason I decided I wanted to clearly print them.

Yes, it is so silent around Kanon-chan.
Which you wouldn't really expect from a new artist.

If I was her, I would make lots of promotion to make sure people buy my single or album.

I don't think she's shy, she used to do Cello performances and such; in 2006 she did an underground live. I'm not sure why she's not doing any live performances.

Maybe to surprise us with another great single...?

Anywho, I seen pics from her underground live and she was up there on that stage playing away with her cello. :) I really wish we could see that underground live.

There isn't much really, until we get confirmation that she's working on something new. Mana's aesthetics don't say anything either, but hey, did you know that Kanon named her Cellos. Her usual Cello is called Yaeharu-kun, and the red cello in the music video is Nanachie-chan.

And Kanon also says:
"Yaeharu-kun has a docile personality, but Nanachie-chan takes a surprising amount of work. But she's cute. She's really bright red, and I'm looking forward to the day I can do my live debut with her."

I think she has two~ The one used for still doll and her usual one, unless she has some more stashed away somewhere; like all of Mana's guitars.

IMO i dont think she's cute in any angle, i saw someone posted the portrait of her and i can see her eyes is alittle bit weird and not as cute as in the PV. i'm not against it, but i think she's not photogenic enough^^ she needs some angle, (like in the PV), then she will be more interesting to see~ well ...just my comment

^ Depends if you want MALICE MIZER or Moi dix Mois. MALICE MIZER did a range of different music from really sad love ballads to high energy and happy sounding songs. Moi dix Mois doesn't carry that range but it uses more of a twin guitar sound and the songs are mainly dark.

There will be an interview with Kanon in ROCK ON J Vol. 5 Which is released on the 24th.

Mana was a part of MALICE MIZER from 1992 to 2001. They Disbanded Decemeber 11 2001. Moi dix Mois is Mana's current project and aside from playing guitar, Mana composes all of Moi dix Mois' music and lyrics, arranges, produces, and designs the stage costumes and acts as overall artistic director for the band. Moi dix Mois is labelled as his solo project although the members have a say in performance and recording of the music.
