alan: One Sky, One Song [3rd Official Thread]
alan is a Chinese/Tibetan singer signed with avex. In 2005, she released a Chinese album 声声醉如兰 [Sheng Sheng Zui Ru Lan; Entranced with the Voice of alan] and in 2007, she made her Japanese debut with her single 明日への讃歌 [Ashita e no Sanka; Song Sung For Tomorrow]. She is currently in the midst of releasing her 3rd single with a 4th soon on the way. Her 3rd single is the first of five consecutive singles associated with the five elements.

Personally Natsukashii Mirai ~longing future~ is her 2nd best song IMO. The B-side, Seed of Green, is great too!! So basically her 3rd single XD

I doubt the B-sides will appear. 5 Elements + 2 singles = 7 songs, which could make up half a 14 track album. Hopefully that will be the case :)

Eyes Closed: it feels more like she's in touch with her element...sky...if that makes any sense XD I think I like the eyes open more though...the way for all her singles lol But both are GORGEOUS! |
I dunno why, but on the covers with her eyes open it feels like she's staring into my soul o_o... It's sort of creepy, so I like the closed eye covers better XD

She was at 13 on debut, that's what they were saying on Alan World at least, and there was an oricon sceen shot. It's so much better than her last two singles positions! I'm also glad to see that she hasn't made a major drop on her second day!

Well, Natsukashii Mirai has a big tie-in, that's why it is selling well. It's the theme of NHK's program SAVE THE FUTURE, which is a program to "save the future" (duh) of the planet. It features famous artists like ayaka, Kobukuro (...) performing songs to help the project. That's why it is charting on the Top 20. But I expected more because of the tie-in.

I think it's a wonderful placement too. It is INCREDIBLY hard for foreigners from other parts of Asia to break into the Japanese market. BoA and DBSK are lucky ones, nearly NO ONE else has their level of success from anywhere else in Asia in Japan.

Akutenshi, we'll get Shiawase no Kane in 320kbps only if it's released on her new album or maybe a single. :( But by the way, the 192kbps was pretty good so I don't think a lossy version would change the quality SOO much. It would be almost the same.

hopefully her elements singles will be something along the lines of vogue-Far Away-SEASONS, in which SEASONS sold a considerable amount more than the others, and hopefully it will also have an effect similar to Koda Kumi's 12 Single Collection where it dramatically boosts her sales. |

I've bugged about this before, but would anyone know how to rip from adobe flash players? Such as the one on alan's chinese official blog? Well, there is an amazing song from alan on there, a song that was never on a single. It's very beautiful and I'd love to get my hands on it for my MP3, but I have no idea on how to rip it :( I know all you guys would adore the song also, it's traditionally influenced :) With pretty sounding flutes and alan's amazing vocals xD

you can use ORBIT downloader ayuta, and then use GRAB++
