i appreciate their efforts but i think they are cocky and they need a better piano.

i like their playing, but maybe they're too proud and they should record with a better camera

There was some deal about a half year ago where Abottchen got all angry because someone ripped copies of their version of 'Marionette' for others to hear - not even the video, mind you, but just the song - which isn't their song to begin with.... So if you ask me if it was pretty foolish of them to get offended that someone "stole" a song that they don't even have the rights to play to begin with.

And someone tell that to all the people who sing in place of Ayu on Youtube. x_x

precisely this is why i dislike them. I mean whats wrong with spreading their works? They are probably fans of ayu who like their work so much that they decided to let others listen to their fabulous pieces.

And they actually got offended. which i think was pretty childish and petty.

about the drama about ripping their renditions from their videos, i sent them a message and they responded to every one of them. they're rather butt-clogged with their own heads. their work is only fan-work and only renditions, not signed onto any label or anything, so them giving crap about that trivial thing was one huge reason why i discontinued listening to their music and praise them.

after all, it's only due to great memorization of chords and intervals that they could play those pieces without a score. i know myself b/c i've played by ear for 8 years. they're not fascinating in my terms.

I really can't stand their cockiness either: acting like Ayu's music is theirs (and only theirs because they're "the best" at playing her songs on the piano); never smiling (you could smile at the end and wave or something!)...

If they were the best, they'd be associated with a label already or at least have ONE person playing the whole song (not TWO!). Okay, maybe having two people gets a fuller feel of the song, but still. :shakehead

I have no idea how to respond to that. 'Cause you're sorta right... they never smile. But they do use Ayu's name on the titles of their songs and on their profile they've said their music is dedicated to her... but, yeah, again, you're sorta right....

But I still love them! They've got some really great skills.
