[CONFIRMED] Ayu visits HK in 21/7 (Mon)
 

Brief translation:
Ayu will arrive HK in 21/7 afternoon for photoing her 2009 calendar. Photoing place is not yet known but she must visit many places around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

So sudden, 21/7 is tomorrow... 0_0

Where did this come from? If it is true, we'll have a few fan reports / news reports about it..

hmm, it seems to be so early for calendar 2009 photoshoots, but what the heck, anything is possible...I already picture ayu wearing a Qipao in downtown HK as the background :P

The calendar is usually released in November after shooting in like Sept/Oct..

But she has touring, so perhaps that is why?

^good point! ayu probably thought it was better to go ahead and shoot for the calendar since she's gonna be in HK pretty soon...

I think it's completely dumb that she keeps going out of Japan to shoot her calendars. Especially when the end results really aren't that gorgeous. The 2007 calendar had some gems, but I think it's best for her to stay in Japan. She hasn't done that since like 2004? 2003?

I hope she uses more natural looking shots this year: the plastic face she had last year wasn't very pretty.

Hmm, this'll be interesting, since she's usually done her shoots somewhere in the US. I wonder how long she'll stay...I bet they'll look around then do the shooting.

I think ayu wants to expand the horizons more. what other works has she done other than calendar photoshoots being shot in other countries?! not to mention MW pv in paris, as well as other photoshoots in L.A, etc. she's a japanese pop artist and naturally, you'd think she would stay in Japan for photoshoots, but not necessarily. I think it's great that ayu is out and about with photoshoots

This news is True, i am living in HK right now, We've already made contact with internal staff from Avex Asia in HK. THey said they are gonna have a PRESS CONFERENCE tonight to confirm all the news and schedule Ayu is gonna go and do.

I will definitely be gonna see AYU and ask for her autograph this time XD since the hotel she is living in is rumoured to be " Intercontinental Hotel" located in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is extremely close to my office^^

I think her best calendars were pre-Hawaii tbh. Sure, the 2007 calendar had a good shot or two, but dayam. Just shoot it in a studio and give us amazing photos instead of plastic Ayu + random scenery.

Clearly, going around the world has not resulted in "AWESUM" photoshoots.

Well, as much as some of us wouldn't like it, Ayu just likes to do what she wants and there's nothing we can do about it...

I see what you're saying, but I think this fault lies mostly on the photographer - right? I'm not sure how photography works, especially when modeling and photoshoots are involved, and if said model has any input into what she does, where she does it and how the photos come out in terms of what they 'mean' but this IS Ayu, so... It's to be expected that she'd have a hand in it, heh.

I personally would like the shoot, if this turns out to be true, to reflect her branching out into Asia for the past year. She wouldn't have to do stereotypical things reflecting the countries she's visited but just something that represents them, you know? Or at least embodies them in a way that makes it seem like Ayu is embracing the countries that have embraced her.

Well, Ayu has the photographer there and a display that they probably bring around to view the shots right after they're taken, so I don't think it's the photographer's fault.

I'm pretty sure that's how Ayu works anyway, even with on-locations shoots.

I say let Ayu shoot wherever, and whenever she want's. If you'r not happy with the results... Well then dont buy the calendar. Im just excited to be hearing some new news TBH. Besides the whole peach john thing the Ayu news hasn't been to much lately:( I know she is just off tour, and needs rest... But i just LOVE reading new Ayu news!

It is now confirmed according to tethevo from TeamAyu diaries that Ayu is going to Hong Kong and Macau for magazine and calendar photoshoots.

I was hoping she wasn't going overseas again, but eh.

A Press Conference from Avex Asia Tonight/tomorrow in HK
 

THe news for Ayu's arrival to HK has been confirmed by Avex Asia. SHe will be arriving to HK at afternoon on 21/7 (Mon) 2008. According to the news from internal staff from Avex Asia, they said they are currently preparing a press conference on Ayu's photoshot on the Calander for 2009. This conference will be hold tonight or at tomorrow, where they would also announce her scdedule, accomondation and so on.

Over 90% of the chances that AYU will be staying in The Intercontinental Hotel of Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui (which is so close to me at worK), fans will be gathering there to wait for AYU either at the airport or directly at the hotel for her autographs and handshakes!~~

Stay tune and I will take photos of all the events!~

hm, i feel like the photos will probably be really nice, but i really miss her doing Japanese themed photos / photos of Japanese areas.

if that's true, i hope it's nothing like glitter/fated again xD it was good, but it doesnt have the staying power of previous PVs, IMO.

according to some HK newspapers, Ayu will be shooting her new calendar in TVB (the main TV channel) for some indoor shootings (old age feel). then fly to Macau for a few shoots as well. the trip lasts for 1 week
