Wow the CDJapan and Neowing Top 100 chart differs so much. Ayu's not even in the top 30 at Neowing. :(

I'm glad that Hikki's done really well with HEART STATION, and congrats to Ayu too for the success of Mirrorcle World. If they combined the sales for both versions, it'd probably be way higher. :D

It sucks to see that GUILTY hasn't done so hot though... It was really low on Oricon's half-yearly ranking too, wasn't it? :(

How come the gazette and miyavi is doing so well? I guess their cds are really inaccessible overseas. Good for ayu. Where's Guilty though..?

To be fair, people who buy Ayu CDs probably get it at mu-mo.net. There you can get the most extras for her stuff if you buy before a certain time.

for me I'm stunned that NEWS's 1st best position's ranked quite high on the list as I thought KAT-TUN or ARASHI might ranked higher than NEWS

Also, it's not really Japanese people who buy from CDJapan, I think... CDJapan's the foreign counterpart for Neowing. So I think most Japanese (if they buy from Neowing or CDJapan) would buy from Neowing.

wow avex was smart to release a YOU and depend on you version, hehe...well at least everthing ayu released this year have been listed, the remix did really good ^^ and AT07 too! hope A COMPLETE will sell more and more to come

Ayu's releases are widely available in many parts of asia. This gives her overseas fans very little reason to order the j-press when the overseas version is so widespread. I guess that's why Guilty is not there? Comparing 4000yen to 1890yen, it's a huge difference. Seriously i see like horribly jacked up j-press imports of miyavi and gang in singapore. No wonder overseas fans order from cd-japan or other similar sources.

Haha. I still think it's funny that Mirrorcle World outsold GUILTY. >_< That's just nuts! :laugh

It is kind of nuts. But the price difference between j and OS version of Guilty is HUGE whereas that of MW is quite insignificant. That's the only reason i can think of.

It could be that MW also had 4 editions and I remember people saying they would buy them all.

Why is GUILTY so low? o_o It sold waaayhay more than Mirrorcle World lol

The four editions are counted as separate releases though. :shakehead

I'm gonna take a guess and say that GUILTY's first month or so of sales [which is when like everyone bought it] was not counted in this, and that is why it is so low on this chart for the summer sales so far..

Like, Ayu "released" it on Christmas last year, so she probably was placed on the end of the year charts for CDJapan instead.

for the cdjapan one, it doesnt surprise me. im sad about neowing though :[ oh wells~ its not like everyone buys their music from online retailers in japan, anyway. :D

wow...miyavi did really well o_o i guess i'm not overly surprised...a lot of cdjapan's customer base is into jrock, right? well, glad to see MW at 6 and 7 :D is that the HEART STATION album or single at number one? i can't remember which has that cover...if it's the album, then that's pretty good, Ayu's single placing so well against that album.

Wow! I am impressed at the names that are on the list. It's so different from wut we usually see on the charts. Im happy that Hikki got #1 (;heart). This prolly like her 1st time getting that spot in a long time huh. :think Congrats to Ayu as well. :)


It's the album that's #1. The single is called Heart Station/Stay Gold....it had a cheap photoshop heart on the cover. :laugh

Wow, the only Top Sales chart I've seen in which Miyavi's near the top. I love him so much but poor boy doesn't get nearly enough sales XD

Ah, that's good then, that a single went up so well against an album.

but really, i think the rankings in this list are so...strange because overseas fans really do buy differently than Japanese ones.
