Have you ever head any heartbeat-skipping Ayu moments?

For me from the top of my head it's...

- Hearing the glass breaking and the wow wow yeah yeahs from MW for the first time
- Seeing the (don't) Leave me alone AT08 perf in the news clip for the first time
- The running down the cat walk during AT07 M performance
- The adlipping at the end of HANABI ~episode II~ a-nation performance
- The bridge of 1 LOVE performance at AT07

And maybe a few others that I can't remember right now. :3

I remember when she fell at AT05. I watched it on the DVD and I was like X_X!!!! But she just got up and laughed it off :P

For me :
- Whenever Ayu walks down the aisle in any of her concert tours .
- When i see Ayu do some dance moves which i think its complicated :D
- Her little breakdown during AT07, that made me kinda emotional and sorry

Performance of GAME in AT05, when Ayu and her posse of pretty boys strut down the catwalk to the end circle. That just ooooozes sex.

-When ayu became emotional during untitled ~for her~ performance
-When ayu got on the elevated platform singing and waving to thousands of fans

Performance of Memorial Address at the 2004 concert (following the Teddy Bear performance)...I felt like crying when I saw Ayu break down in front of the audience...so sad. It was actually one of the first times I saw Ayu perform on stage, and it fully converted me into a fan. There was so much emotion in her voice, so much that I like this version more than the one in the album.

Another instance was when Ayu sang Boys and Girls in 2005 when she asked everyone to sing along with her. WOW. The waterworks/fountain was amazing, and her enthusiasm and spirit got me singing along and feeling like I was watching the show right there with her.

Dome tour- ASFXX performance when the stage slid out. Very cool.
Stadium Tour 2002-when ayu slapped hands with fans. There was this guy that was diving through everyone to get to the railing.
A Museum-Fly high. Felt like waving to the screen
CDL04-05-Duty. The split second where she gives the camera a mysterious expression
AT05-Moments when the special screen showed multiple reflections
CDL05-06-When the crystal cross moved up. So much higher than Dome Tour's disco ball
AT06-When Born to be exploded on the stage
Kouhaku-Strawberry cream cake dress for Jewel
CDL07-08-Aerial performance by Kaeru

^ it's during an encore...the audience are doing a wave and ayu ran with the wave and fell down...

I can't list since it happens all the time while am at ballad moods and I'm listening to her ballads or rock songs.
If they are touching enough at the moment it will really make me (and my heart) feel high and touched (and feel like the heart's stopped for a second), with all honesty.
Sometimes with some up-beat songs as well.

Same goes for lives and with her live vocals it's even a better feeling.

@leo: That wasn't in the main concert MC right? If it was when she just kind of rolled down laughing, I'd hardly call it falling XD

She fell hard on to the stage and got bruised, but she laughed it off. It wasn't at the final concert, but they got it on tape since they taped the MCs.

- in AT06, after the bridge of Born To Be.. there is a sudden burst of fire sort of "exploding" on all the huge screens, it's awesome! My heart definitely skipped a beat!

- in.. CDL..I think 06-07, when the cross lifted her during Endless Sorrow.

- AT07, Kiss'o'kill.

One of the first performances I saw was the Evolution (my first Ayu song) performance in CDL05-06 (with the red suit + black tail right?). That was AWESOME, with the drums and the lighting and the "wow yeah! Wow yeah!" and punching in the air together with everyone in the crowd, I was an instant fan when I saw that lol.

What is she yelling in that CDL05-06 perf? You can't tell me it's soruya, because I don't hear an r/l/d in there at ALL. It's like "SAYA" or something. I just listened it again. : >

I dunno for me it was seeing the Voyage performance where she forgets the lyrics, I was laughing and shocked xD

I've always wondered that xD It does sound like SEYA! or something. Probably just a meaningless sound.

it was on the first stop at Saitama when the crowd was making waves. Ayu said that she was running to Yo-chan, go distracted and *whoosh* *BOOM*

my one and only heartbeat skipping moment was during evolution in ASIA TOUR 2007. i was in the HK Coliseum and for the entire acoustic beginning of the song, i was staring at ayu blindly and i swear that if there was an earthquake, i wun know what to do!

Boys and Girls 2005. I got up and danced along, turning the stereo up LOUD! lol. And her mini-breakdown was sad, though I didn't know what she was saying till later, I understood she was feeling the pressure.
For some weird reason, the Fairyland PV almost made me cry *shrugs*

Watch AT05 during the MC session when Yoshio 'sabotaged' ayu by showing the clip of ayu running towards Yo-chan and falling. It sounded terrible because the microphone amplified the fall so it's like "BOOM". Ayu said she's never fallen like that since elementary school lol...

During the 2006 kouhaku or red versus white concert, ayu wore this light pink dress and huge pink hat to perform Jewel. The outfit looked so delicious.

hmmmm mine isn't as extravagant as everyone else's here but . . .

While watching Hanabi episode 2 & Fated PV I almost couldn't breathe and by the end of it i was in tears ^_- Yeah I know I cry easily right?

OH! and in the Together When Pv when the doll breaks =O

- AT05 Happy Ending towards the last verse of the song
- AT05 Walking Proud during the instrumental bridge, and ayu was tearing
- Dome Tour 01 A song for XX
- AT06 Born to Be yeah the explosion + ayu's uplifting vocal at that moment, wow
- AT04 Memorial Address, i think i was holding my one breathe throughout the whole perf.
- AT06 Heaven during the 'ha..ha...la..la.." that leads to the chorus

and my most memorable one is one of the time she performed Boys & Girls in MS wearing a pink dress. Something went wrong with her vocal n everybody can see that she was painfully trying to sing the 1/2 verses. after a while when her vocal came back she shouted "Gomenne!!" to the audience n everybody was cheering support for her. I dont know why i was just breathless at that moment XD

As lame as this may sound, I've been waiting for ayu-mi-x 6 for YEARS. I finally gave up and then when it was announced that she would release them the month of my birthday, I felt my heart skip for a second and I couldn't breathe for a few seconds lol!!! I was so excited, even now I can't stop listening to both albums :)

^I am with you on this one! I was waiting forever for her release a new remix album, but we got 2~ That made my heart race! I was very excited about the releases!! :D
The first time I heard Free & Easy, it definitely made my heart skip a beat, I was really not expecting the power that came from her voice in that song.
Also, the glitter/fated mini movie made my heart skip a beat...I know a lot of people thought it was lame or whatever, but I thoroughly enjoyed it~ It made me laugh & cry...a lot.

-The very first time I listened to one of her songs, it was Daybreak.
-When I knew she had lost her left ear's hearing.
-When I saw her on CNN.
-When she spoke in english.
-When I first heard talkin' 2 myself.
-When I saw that big MW flying ship.
-And many more...

Woah! Certainly ayu still keeps taking away my breath everytime she does something surprising (which is almost everytime).

I'd say every time she sings the last song of her concerts. When she would choke up and try hard not to cry, and when she introduces her dancers and say thank yous, her appreciation is just so sincere! And of course, that obligatory yet still touching "ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA!" in the end of every concert <3

When did the ayu not singing Boys & Girls right incident happen? I don't think it was My Story tour. I watched it maybe 5 times and i thought Boys & Girls was performed perfectly all along. Maybe CDL05-06. I thought it was ironic that the words she forgot had 'wasurenai' in it lol...

I thought it was the japanese way of saying "swing your arms" but now i'm not so sure. Does su-ya have any meaning in japanese?

I'm not sure, it was the last news clip released; pretty long. It had a veeery short 5 second clip of (d)Lma when the wheel starts spinning. I went OMG, and she sung it REALLY good. She had so much power and roughness in her voice when she yelled SHITTE YO. <3

Oh... sounds interessting. Hope, I will see the full performance someday. I really like that song.

-Whenever she gets emotional during a song.
-The end of a concert, when she just puts down her mike and shouts "arigatou gozaimashita".

Truly breathtaking.

When I went onto the forum to see if Guilty reached #1 or not. Quite a tense moment.

Though there are a lot of chills I get watching her concerts. Depends on the setting.

I believe Pride of AT07 did that...and the sad Heaven performance too.

Oh, I forgot to add when she sings untitled ~for her~ at CDL07-08 and before the chorus she shouts out..thats so emotional. ^^ Also when she sings "soshite" further down the chorus and starts crying.

Sure Ayu is a favorite singer of mine, but I've never really had any heart-skipping moments. She's only given me goosebumps once or twice. :shrug

Do you really? I never get goosebumps by anything. I don't see how others can get that. I only get it when I'm cold?

^When something touches you so, you can get goosebumps. I've gotten them a few times when I saw some really amazing symphonic concerts. Or once when we were playing this really amazing piece, and we played it so perfectly, we all like stopped at the end and just didn't move for a few seconds. Music is amazingly powerful for the senses.

When it came out, in AT05, when she appears at the start for Happy Ending...the first time I saw this, it was the first full concert for me, and when she appeared...I just about went nuts with the crowd, screaming and jumping, and it was awesome.

After that...I never really had one.

When she won the Record Taishou Grand Prize for the third year in a row with No way to say; her award-acceptance performance. Heart-stopping.

I get goosebumps by some things very easily. (Music and performances from Disney give me goosebumps all the time, it never fails. lol) Ayumi has never really given me goosebumps as much, but she has once or twice.

I'd definitely have to watch some performances again and try to remember if I've had any heart-stopping moments. I mean, I've definitely had WOW! moments (and have actually shouted out, "WOW!" lol), but have only had those absolutely-zomg-heart-stopping-dude-ayu's-the-best-ever (lol) moments only a couple of times.

When I finally got to see the "Light and shadow" 2004 interview after 1.5 to 2 hours of fighting with my computer. It was SO worth it. ^_^

- Any instance in her live performances where she tears up or gets caught up in the moment. i.e. "Walking Proud" from AT05, "Heaven" from AT06, The crowd singing "Poker Face" to her from AT07,...

- Any trip down the catwalk. "Ladies Night" from AT06 being my fave.

- When she's absolutely singing her heart out towards the end of "M". This actually gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it.

- When the guitar comes in on "A Song For XX (030213 Session #2)" & Memorial Address (Take 2 Version). I'm geussing the first take on either of these songs didn't go so well.:shakehead

Haha this is really embarrasing, but the commercial for "A" always shocks me by how it affects me.. It was the first video I saw of Ayu and she was so beautiful it made me cry. It still gives me goosebumps!

I have so many but in terms of her recent moments, I would say definately the entire AT 2007. I personally think that concert contained some of her very best performances ever. Very strong vocals -the intensity of everything building up was top notch.
The choreography, the emotion, the interaction -she really brought it on for the Asia tour. Perfect really. She's a natural.

- First time I heard her singing live.
I attented AT08 @ Nagoya 6/17 so it was there. A huge wave of chills went through me. It was amazing.

Hmm.. Can't remember any others right now.

there's plenty... like the Memorial Address performance with her in that red dress... i forget what concert that was........

and during her concerts, after a long interval/solo by someone, she finally comes [back] out. i get goosebumps... i love it! she always makes such a grand entrance everywhere. she's soooo cooooool! like in her Arena Tour 2006 (i think) after Yoshi's "is this Love?" guitar solo, and POOF! once the main song starts, she comes out and i'm like, omgaaah, she's so awesome!

and i must not forget, AT05's Happy Ending performance. one of my favorites. just thinking about it now makes my heart beat faster.

- AT 2007, as it was the first time I saw Ayu live in Yokohama (twice). I kinda knew what was coming, but it was just amazing: evolution at the beginning, the whole kiss 'o kill performance, seeing her at like 10-15 meters distance :yeek and when she seemed to wave back at us the next day at a much longer distance.

- Dome Tour: evolution, surreal, a song for xx
- AT 03-04: teddy bear, memorial address (heavy guitars in a red dress ;p), evolution/surreal, b&g/unite
- AT05: the water fountains (just so awesome), carols
- CDL05-06: the first concert I ever saw, the opening, I was like WOW!

and so many other moments!

First time I saw Ayu live was CDL 07-08 (both nights)

When STEP you started playing I totally freaked out since it's one of my favourite Ayu songs EVER. And then when Bold & Delicious started playing I went ballistic again!!! Another top favourite of mine!!

And when Ayu got like within 2 metres of where I was and started waving, total awesomeness. <3

Happy Ending @AT05 has got to be one of the best entrances ever, along with ourselves at AT03-04.

when i got my asia tour 07 dvd and when i started to watch it, i got a unique feeling. Then came evolution "la la la la laaaaa" and best part was listening to SEASONS

Definitely the CNN interview when she spoke english. I squealed like a little girl!

Whenever she walked down the catwalk, singing a kick off songs like GAME, until that Day... or SURREAL

When she do a special performances like alterna, kiss o' kill and MW in Tours

and when she rocks the crowd!

I loved it when Ayu spoke English in the CNN interview! It definitely made my heart jump...I was like...wait, I know she knew some English, but she's gotten a lot better now! Maybe one day if I actually get to meet her, we can talk in English and she won't just be nodding along not understanding! XD

If your tryna say nervous, hell, I'll just remember Ayu forgetting her lyrics for the recent performance and she manages to continue singing by replacing forgotten words as "I really really can't remember my lyrics" and "lalalaas" in Japanese language until she recalled and continue. My palms and forehead was full of sweats.

umm its hard to think of any that havent already been mentioned, and this one prob has but oh wel...

i thought it was kewl when in the MW perfs, she was wearing that big dress, then the stage went dark during the bridge and then they ripped her dress off. it was amazing. all one million times LOL

Her performance of A Song For XX @ a-nation '06 (I think...I know it was the one with the black & white pushup corset)...That performance took my breath away. It was sung directly from her heart, and her vocals showcased that theory effortlessly. It is to date one of her best vocal performances of that song. And when you listen to her TeamAYU performance of the same song when she was younger, you can TOTALLY feel and here the difference.

- The first time i ever heard Ayu; rainy day, with a Final Fantasy AMV. I was just sold to her!

- The first time i really heard rainy day after a few months. Gaah!

- Watching the Memorial address performance from ARENA TOUR 2003-2004 for the first time

- Watching Who... live for the first time

- Readding her blog about Anekis death and why she cried at CDL 2007-2008

- Watching the video about her fall from Dome Tour 2001 (Tell me, if it wasn't from DT!)

- Watching the Days PV! I was like yelling to Shuya "NOOOO!"

- Reading the teddy bear translation!

I have many that I can't remember so I'll just mention a few:

- Dome Tour 2001: In the intro when the ball illuminates and opens up...a very majestic sight.

- Stadium Tour 2002: The intro to Boys & Girls accompanied by the fireworks right before the main song.

- Arena Tour 2003-2004: The extended vibrato at the end of teddy bear...man she really poured it on.

- Countdown Live 2004-2005: The extended intro of WHATEVER built up a lot of anticipation; then she finally appears and the sight of her is just amazing.

- Arena Tour 2005: Besides what was mentioned before, the waterworks at the beginning of Boys & Girls.

- Countdown Live 2005-2006: During Endless sorrow when she's being raised on the cross. Also when she sang "douka kono inori o woah woah~~!!" in the same performance of this song. Then during Bold & Delicious intro; I was very surprised how good it sounded with the live choir.

- Light & Shadow, Despair and Decision at 25 had a few of these moments for me as well.

Dome Tour 2001..when she sang Duty, NEVER EVER, ASFXX & SURREAL. So much emotions were being put, and I love her vocals for that tour very very much
