Good choices! Hanabi and heaven are quite emotional songs from ayu. I think these are the correct ones. Planetarium, Tada aitakute, shirushi, mikazuki and goodbye days are quite sad as well. I'm surprised that Konayuki is not here though. Now that's one song that can make anyone cry, especially in the drama it was played in.

HEAVEN really does make me cry, or at least tear up everytime I hear it.... especially when I sing along to it. It's such a beautiful song!

I saw this last night...I think HEAVEN and HANABI are perfect choices! I also love hitomi no jyunin by L'Arc～en～Ciel～^^

Ayu does have some really sad songs, but the only one of her's that has brought me even close to tears is "untitled ～for her～".

And it was completely over run by fan girls. :) A Tohoshinki song at the top for saddest song? A Kattun song that isn't even a single? It's hard to take this list seriously when those are at the top of the saddest songs list when Japan has a whole huge heaping list of tear jerkers that have been written over the years and are very famous. And One Love isn't even a sad song...crying tears of happiness I guess? :)

Hanabi is one of ayu songs that always makes me cry...it reminds me of those I love but are lost forever

yes HANABI. it's so sad. but there's a lot of other Ayumi songs that are sooooo sad too like Hanabi ~episode II~, Dearest, endless sorrow, teddy bear... oooo the list goes oooon!!!

A Song is born is quite a crying song because of the highness of the melody.. your throat aches you can't help but to cry!!!

Yeah, like I said, this list is pretty much a joke if it is supposed to be taking into consideration the entire history of japanese music. That's why I never put that much weight into the fan polls since it always will heavily favor the most current artists.

Very good choices, but I think Rainbow should have been there as well. But HEAVEN is so true!
But I also cry with many other ayu songs though.

These are to lie down in your room and cry

HANABI is a nice choice. I can think of several songs also off of the RAINBOW album that have made me cry, too -- Over, Dolls, Voyage... In fact I'd almost say that Over is a little sadder, but HANABI srsly tugs at the heartstrings.

I haven't found HEAVEN to be too sad -- it just sounds too lovely to me, you know? Yes the person she's speaking to has passed on but some of the lyrics are said so lovingly that it's almost like it's not *meant* to be totally sad, just bittersweet.


I'll have to check out those songs by those other artists, too. I'm always up for a good QQ jag.
