Band's Bio

Formed in April 2007, BREAKERZ is the a J-rock band that is made up of 3 people: DAIGO (vocal), AKIHIDE (guitar) and SHINPEI (guitar)

BREAKERZ started off as DAIGO and SHINPEI's project. Meeting through a mutual friend and various recording sessions, they worked together to make a demo. DAIGO is in charge of music and lyrics while SHINPEI is in charge of arrangements.

In the span of 1 month, they created 40 songs. Later on, they are joined by DAIGO's longtime friend who has worked many times with him in his band, songwriting, playing guitar and singing chorus. That is AKIHIDE & the 3 of them joined together to form BREAKERZ.

Their music can't be described in just one word. It's a fusion of AKIHIDE's UK rock sound and SHINPEI's American rock sound with DAIGO's sexy voice. Their historic debut is on 6 June 2007 with their first single WAKE UP MY SOUL / THE TRAIN's GONE ... became available on iTunes Japan.

BREAKERZ is signed by ZAIN Records, a member of the Being Giza Group.

Well at this point in time , I just say go for their singles because I haven't have the chance to listen to their 1st 2 albums that they released last year .

I only came across BREAKERZ this year when MTV Taiwan was playing SUMMER PARTY on heavy rotation which led me to check them out

& what kind of rock music they make ? kinda like in the same vein as abingdon boys school I guess

I have edited the 1st post with other PVs that they have made & used to promote their 1st 2 albums & EP respectively :)

I just have to say, that I adore the CD-only Sekai wa Odoru version cover of their second single, it's just amazing.

I've also noticed that their CD-only covers tend to be better than their CD+DVD covers =/

I actually find the CD only cover of Sekai wa Odoru a bit retarded :laugh . I like the CD + DVD more though , a nice close up face shot of the trio but still what the heck

I ordered all the 2 CD only editions of their 1st 2 singles from YesAsia last week , I hope I will get them today or tomorrow

I already preordered the 2 CD only editions of Angelic Smile / WINTER PARTY since the local HMV doesn't import their stuff over here :( . WINTER PARTY probably sound like a sequel to SUMMER PARTY cos you know of the titles .

Now next mission's to listen to their 1st 2 albums & Ao no Mirai EP . Except for Ao no Mirai which was put out this year in April , the other 2 albums were released last year

Their albums where really neat, there was one song with erotic breathing that I quite enjoyed =P

I realised that it's only this year that they began to release singles & it's quite rare for an artiste to release 3 singles back to back in which all of them are double a-sides & have 4 different cd jackets :dead2

I really like the fact that they have different jackets, I think it's really unique =D

you know I actually thought of asking my younger sister to get their albums since she's currently in Oita , Japan for a culture exchange programme the next time she call back either later tonight or tomorrow before she return back home to S'pore in a bid way to save on postage cost :laugh

but I see how because their albums are not cheap , it's about like what 3,043 Yen each for both albums :dead2 + I just downloaded their albums & EP last night so ...

I'll probably, eventually, buy the CD-only to their second single with the Sekai cover because I adore that cover to pieces. I just do. XD

I just wish Starhub Cable TV will bring back MTV Taiwan as they took out the channel barely 2 weeks after my mum agreed to subscribe to MTV Taiwan :(

& since then it has been replaced with MTV China which frankly suck in that they don't play enough JPop :eviltongu

w00t thanks for the uploads and indexing of others people ones there, I just found about them 3 nights ago and fell in love with Shakunetsu and Sekai wa Odoru... and the covers for Shakunetsu CD and CD/DVD are reallllly... well cool I guess (sounds so cheezy though :P)
Daigo's voice goes really well with Sekai wa Odoru imo, I wish they'd do more songs like that in the future :D and me no comment on their looks as I'm a guy and couldn't really care what they looked like, just as long as their music is good :D :P although I have to admit I like (and wants :P) Akihide's hair on the covers of Shakunetsu :D

anyway, I've read Daigo's blog... it's OK although I love Akihide's blog, he writes in such a highly mannered way, always using keigo and everything which is convenient as that what I've learnt at school :thumbsup Daigo's is written as he speaks (which is hard to understand as he uses slang etc) so it's hard to read :'(

WOW YAY :D thanks for the mega huge update Karen :D I like all the covers, but like the CD Only Winter Party cover the best, I want Daigo's jacket XD and the combination of Akihide's black hair and the white clothes is cool, I want black hair, brown hair and white clothing just doesn't have the same effect :grumpy (I often 'steal' other people that I know clothes when I'm out and about that I take a liking to :D... but of course give back later XD)

and as for the album WOW they doing 4 different versions again:dead2 I sooo won't be able to decide which version of the CD+DVD I would want (and yes, I decide what version I want by the content rather the covers you crazy but loved fangirls :innocent).. the PV disc would be really good but the live... oh I wonder what a BREAKERZ live would be like:clapclap but -sigh- as a poor uni student I don't think I'll be able to get any of them especially as the Aussie dollar is so weak atm:eviltongu

btw does anyone know where I can get a HQ version of the 灼熱／世界は踊る single? The only version thats around are the PV-rips and they sound like crap on my speaker system:thud *wants to buy the single so bad atm:tired*

I will not get the BIG BANG ! album with the DVDs especially the PVs version since you can download the PVs directly from the net & yeah I agree with you , I really like the CD only cover of WINTER PARTY big time <3

WINTER PARTY - probably a ballad ? since well winter's looming around the corner & all , maybe it might be a ballad . I will be surprised if it's something upbeat but then again you never know

I think Angelic Smile might be the ballad in question but have to wait for the PVs & etc to be out

I hope they will be wearing those outfits on thei CD covers in the PVs & so's for Angelic Smile , that will be really cool :love

DAIGO wrote & composed both the songs & both songs's arrangement were done by the 3 of them

Type A & C are the ones if you order with the DVDs while Type B & D are the ones you get if you order the CD only's .
