fairyland used as recommendation to visits Kualoa Ranch,Hawaii !

http://beauty.oricon.co.jp/special/h.../ayumi.html#01

apparently ayu's fairyland was filmed in Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii..
they stated about the 240mil yen production cost, and about the tree house that still exist! (so they didn't burn it all down like we saw on the PV)

well, ayu is the best to use as recommendation..

U-GO-BOY 3rd October 2008 12:41 AM

wow this is sooo cool!

but I still wonder why it cost soo much~

pommy48 3rd October 2008 12:44 AM

building the house? could cost a lot..i remember asking this before~

Huaka 3rd October 2008 12:45 AM

Wow, that's cool. I didn't know it was still there. I haven't been to Kualoa Ranch in many, many years. I guess I should try go back there one of these days to see.

4ever*ayu 3rd October 2008 12:48 AM

built tree house, giant fans, chopper, and i think Avex actually rent the ranch for 3days...
so...yea it cost so much..

Evolution7/4 3rd October 2008 12:49 AM

Plus those mindblowing overhead camera shots which must have cost alot to rig and such.

AyuGAME 3rd October 2008 01:12 AM

OMG!!! that's really cool!!!

Ahi_max91 3rd October 2008 01:38 AM

OMG!!!! ^^!~

chocopockymaster 3rd October 2008 01:55 AM

I was in Kualoa Beach Park when I was in Hawaii in March...it's really really beautiful there. :)

ownsarai 3rd October 2008 01:58 AM

That's cool. ^^

truehappiness 3rd October 2008 02:59 AM

Yeah, the house they built was from scratch, I think. A friend knew the architect behind it.

Jwiz 3rd October 2008 03:31 AM

That's a brilliant choice! I think all those filming and yea building accounted for the high production cost.

ArchangelLegend 3rd October 2008 04:56 AM

And I thought they built an expensive house just to burn it down.

music_* 3rd October 2008 05:47 AM

^ LOL! Yea, me too ^.^

hiroshi_ben 3rd October 2008 06:16 AM

mmaibff 3rd October 2008 08:18 AM

I didn't know that it was filmed at Kualoa Ranch, I've been trying to find out where it was filmed at for a while now. I have to visit Kualoa Ranch one of these day and see if I can find the tree house (umm w/e that thing that supposedly burned down in the video is called).

freedreamer 3rd October 2008 09:08 AM

actually this sentence says something like this:
you can go to the place where the movie was filmed. but since the house was built from scratch for the film, it's not there anymore. however, the stage(and some words i'm not sure about?) and the huge tree in the background is still there.

so i guess they did burn down the house, after all.:irked

Rebirthia 3rd October 2008 08:34 PM

^ah, ok heheheh
thanks for the news, quite random but interesting anyway ^^

Actually, since it kinda sounds like it was piece mail, they might've just dismantled it instead of burning it down. I can only imagine the paperwork/clean up required to burn a building down :dead2

yea that's what I was thinking too.. when you look closely at the video you can see that it is possible they could have staged the fire in a separate set and not actually burn down the house they built. (Probably for safety reasons as well, since Ayu is standing right next to the fire:P ) Besides, the house was built next to the huge tree which is still there, it seems impossible to burn the house while keeping the tree intact. The article doesn't say what really happened with it anyway.

4ever*ayu 5th October 2008 12:44 AM

^it's just a short promotion after all...not a description on making of fairyland, they just hope to have visitors...:D

jpopfan 5th October 2008 01:23 AM
