Problems With Search Function
 

Ok I don't know if I'm the only 1 who's experiencing this problem but nowadays whenever I want to search something via AHS , I always get this message :

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/ahsfor2/public_html/forum/search.php on line 1156"

No matter how many times I tried to redo the search on what I plan to look for , over & over again , this message always came back on :(

I had that the other day, but right now it seems to work for me just fine. :shrug

I got it four days ago,but I think it's OK now.

I guess you were trying that at a moment of slowdown? :shrug

It usually happens to me when AHS is being reeeeeeeeeeeally slow, which has also been happening a lot lately too.

I still got that error message earlier on when I tried again

I've had that problem for about a week now, and I still have it. I can't search anything.

Yes, I'm having this problem, too. It was working fine for me a few days ago but now it keeps giving me the same error message that Karen sees.

i think its not from our computers. it must have somthing to do with the forum , but i m not quit sure . only a mod can reply . i cant wait for that search option to work again

I hope it can be fixed, since I've been having that problem for quite a while now.

I was searching for Arena Tour 2002 (I ended up finding what I needed at a stroke of luck, but still)... I think no matter what I search for it still doesn't work for me.

Also I wanna make a suggestion, the search function limits search item to more than 3 characters..but it's not really convenient, because sometimes the thing you want to search actully has 3 or less characters!!!

Just happened to me when I searched for "Lyrics" in the News section.

It's so weird, only when I try to search for "Lyrics" in the News section (I need MW lyrics) it doesn't work :irked

this hapens to me but not on a regular basis (thak God). about 1 day a month maybe?
it happened just now again so i decided to go here to see if there's a soultion to this.
but i see that no one knows how to deal with it.
i guess i'll just have to wait until it works again........

^Actually this is probably related to the server problems that are causing the slow down. We've got a technical check up by professionals but they detected no problem. It's probably something with VB, i dunno, and it obviously is intermitent, because there are moments everything is running perfectly fine. Last October we had much worse problems with the server. This one is actually really mild tbh. For the moment, ppl should just be patient and try the search function later.

i often get errors when using search for past weeks

I haven't been able to search anything for a while - I thought it was just me. I use google's Advance search to check the forum now xD

Oooh! It's working for me now!!!

It works fine when searching with small amut of characters, i.e misono, but when using the amount over 7, i.e. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, it returns with an error.

Well no wonder it just happened to me when I was searching for GIRL NEXT DOOR. :grumpy
