Brief translation:

Just after her 30th brithday, Ayu attended the show "Music Station" last Friday and chat with Koda frequently. Ayu will arrive Shanghai earlier in coming Sunday for making new PV. For her Shanghai concert, she used 26 cargos to ship the concert stage and sofa(huh?) to Shanghai

I've got nothing against GREEN, but I'd rather she be shooting a PV for a song other than GREEN. Considering how long ago the commercial came out, I don't think it's a good idea to make GREEN a lead A-side on a single. I'd rather Ayu put out a good ballad and fight for a good tie-in. The last fall ballad single we had from her was HEAVEN three years ago. It's time for another one!

Maybe GREEN will be a b-side to the new single like Will was for HEAVEN. Will was on a panasonic CM too. So she could be shooting the video for a completely new song. :luv2

I don't think it will be another glitter/fated, it is being much pessimistic. I hope there's something being announced as soon as possible, we really need something new. Nowadays, thinking about new songs of her is almost thinking about myths and legends, lol.

i dont get why people are assuming that anything filmed in a chinese country is gonna become like glitter/fated which wasnt even that bad...its just that the story was too abrupt...

GREEN doesn't really seem like a cheesy love song. And she isn't crazy enough to do the same kind of PV twice. So please people, just because she might be shooting a PV in another Asian city it doesn't mean its going to be the same.

I kinda liked glitter/fated--not sure why people here seem not to--it's no the most boring PV she's done by far, and it was really something different having the 2 PVs tell the story.

BLUE BIRD was shot in Guam, fairyland was shot in Hawai, appears was also done in NYC, and none of them were half bad, especially fairyland, BLUE BIRD was a bit dumb, but I loved the scenes on the beach. I am hoping for a forest as well XD

Ayu's gonna wear a bunch of pretty haute couture, stylish clothing, sparkly jewelry, fashionable makeup that isn't particularly flattering to her but it's what all the cool kids are doing. She's gonna be going around the streets of Shanghai looking pretty, there'll be only a TINY semblance of a plot, and the acting will be wholly unbelievable. She will never go near any landmarks or anything gorgeous or interesting, she'll just walk around normal-looking places, and every shot done in shanghai will EASILY have been done in a studio, with stock footage CG'd onto the background.

None of ayu's on-location PVs are any good, and I doubt this will be any better.

I'm not looking forward to it. =\ I used to look forward to new ayu PVs, but.... when the track record of bad on-location videos has gone on this long, it's hard to be optimistic.

I am going to go against the wind and say: I like Ayu's on-location videos... Especially Mirrorcle World, 距愛 -Distance Love- and Pride.

If it's right, I'm happy with the news (finally something new), except I fear another boring PV ....

Well the B&D backdrop was very NYC and couldn't really have been done in a studio. Would've probably looked fake. It was new and something different for her. Same for appears. MW had famous places in Paris and so on.

I don't think the reason for her going is for the scenery. Of course it's easier for her to create an atmosphere in real life rather than in front of a green screen. But more so, it creates hype. Hype sells.

i love the fairyland pv! and i love the BLUE BIRD pv! though i dislike the song :(.
Pride and B&D and MW are oke. not bad not good either imo.

Dearest was very well-done, had a great story, and probably couldn't have been filmed anywhere else (the windfarm was symbolically important). Not to mention it was very well-produced; if I didn't see the making-of stuff, I'd have no idea that it was filmed during a sunny day rather than a rainy evening.

Aside from that, none of her on-location videos have any redeeming qualities. Most of the locations look very generic ("BLUE BIRD" coulda been filmed at any beach anywhere, pretty much; "Bold & Delicious" coulda been done with a blue screen - the only thing that proves she was really there was the off-shot stuff spliced into the video; "Mirrorcle World" could have been done in a western-style park somewhere in Japan). Few of the videos have plots, and if they do, they're not dependent on the location ("kyoai" could have taken place anywhere on earth, including japan; "BLUE BIRD" coulda been off the coast of Japan; "Mirrorcle World"'s story has nothing to do with Paris specifically; "appears" coulda been Japan, or any big city really).

These on-location shoots just seem to be ayu's way of getting Avex to give her a free trip to any of these places.

I have no issue with on-location shoots on principle, I really don't. But I don't see any reason to go out of the country for a shoot unless it's necessary to the substance of the video.

the cool thing about ayu going to asia is that, because she's so popular there, we get tons of photos/news. when she goes to western countries--there's waaaay less info/photos haha.
