Leah Dizon announced after her concert that she is already pregant with her stylist boyfriend baby and was already married last Friday (Oct 10 2008). She stated that she will rest for a while but won't leave singing entirely.

Leah Dizon had her press conference regarding her marriage. She said that her husband is a 29 year-old stylist, with a slim built. She likes him because he is very smart. They met January of this year due to work and always go eat ramen or hotspring together. Leah husband is the stylist for her PV "Vanilla" & "Love Paradox". His name is BUN (!!). She is expecting next spring and hope to have at least 2 kids When asked Leah what BUN likes about her, she said it's because of her big butt. When BUN said to Leah "Please marry me" she immediate agreed.

The article mentioned that the 2 got married before informing her record label. They have not official registered yet but already had the wedding ceremony with Leah's brother flying all the way from America. The article also mentioned that Leah's CD sales has been going down recently.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!! I'm VERY happy for her but at the same time - this was the LAST THING I was expecting! Congrats to Leah and I hope she'll have a happy life with her new family <3

I already aired most of my opinions over at loveleahdizon@LJ but here's a summary of my thoughts:
- shocked, YES! I'm glad to hear this isn't some super old dude that she married, though, it's a reasonable age for Japanese shotgun weddings. However, as with most shotgun marriages, this one is unlikely to last :(
- I personally think the tears were of fear and regret. They were unlike any happy tears I've ever seen.
- This is not good for her career. The marriage/pregnancy all but kills her gravure career, her Japanese isn't good enough for most variety shows, and her singing one is not good enough to continue after hiatus. She is no Namie, no Hitomi, those women had very successful music careers and in Namie's case, she's a jpop icon.
- I am still a Leah fan and hope she's happy but am afraid this won't end well.

i should be happy for her, but when i read how the both of them know each other and what's her husband's favorite part of her, it was like he got more interested in her because of her looks and body then the true Leah....
i honestly don't think they will have a happy ending, if they got married first, then have a baby, yes i will respect her husband, but getting married because of a baby....:no i don't know.....
then about her career, she's quite popular but she's no way in improving-singing, japanese are still the same. Her sales comes from her looks, so getting married might be adding ices to her freeze in her career, i'm not too confident if she can still make a comeback after giving birth, she's far from Namie's steps, she' just a jpop idol only....

i still wish her the best of luck and may her husband treasure her.
