haha how weird. yesterday i just asked about the forgiveness cover. niice. well guesss i wont be getting this though, i just begged my mom to let me buy the [&] single. cant just ask for another one..it only has 4 songs on it though..hopefully i can just wait til her 6th album comes out..ayu DOES look pretty hot in it though..

yeah..and it might have more then 4 tracks on it..if u click on the link givin and scroll down, the information on the [&] album only has 4 tracks. the real single has 7. maybe the forgiveness as more.. =\ just maybe..

Jerms - The Japan version of & is selling for US$11.99 and the Japense version of Forgiveness is on pre-order for $10.25. You were comparing the Overseas version of &, which costs $9.49, with the Japanese version of Frogiveness. The Japanese version always costs more.

the cover reminds me of mid-summer night's dream....

i'm not a big fan of the cover though...and only 1 new song with so little remix.....mmm....

This cover is pure lush. I knew forgiveness would pair up with Voyage in terms of cover (something mystical and fantastic with a nice background).

Mimika - it reminds me of A Mid-Summer Night's Dream too :)

It's all right if someone has a different opinion. People like different things, no use in trying to convince someone otherwise or say they shouldn't feel a certain way.

Yeah... but I suppose this is normal for Ayu to release singles like this these days... :(

So it's $2.50 per song, of which 1 is an instrumental, and the 2 remixes are probably not technoish, so once again, this is good news, but still... I do miss those days of more than 4 songs/single... =/

yeahs. if u check her discography, over the years, her singles have less and lesss songs.."A" had 11, while "H" only had 6..

There's just something about the cover that I can't quite put my finger on....it's just really really good in my opinion. I love it, it's probably my favorite.

Ayu's doing her good job like she always did. She didn't change much. Ayu is not responsible for her remixes....avex is though. So the one to blame is......:laugh

I didn't say she was doing a bad job... it's just that charging $10 or so for only 3 actual songs (and 1 instrumental) isn't like the days of getting 10 songs for a bit more. I know Avex controls such things as tracks and such, yet it just seems kinda messed up to me that Ayu used to release all those songs before, and nowadays, this is accepted, regardless of which songs are on it. I'm not saying she's releasing bad songs, but if I only had enough money to buy 1 CD now, picking a 4-track CD isn't my idea of a wise choice if I were going on a trip. Then again, it's all in the "eye of the beholder", and I'm sure others would probably pay $10 if Ayu only made a 2-track CD... lol...

I think its AWESOME!!!! Sooooo pretty... ~sob~ I like to draw fairies too hehehe. I wuv fairies. They be purdiful. ^____^ I think it shows Ayu's kinda playful and childish side. Like when you're a little girl and pretend to be a fairy and stuff.. hehehe.

Jose, it's not Ayu. Ayu isn't in charge of the remix songs. Avex wanted to move a lot of financial dependance AWAY from Ayu, because it wasn't in the best interest in the company to have so much money invested in one artist. Basically, if Ayu decided to quit, Avex would be screwed. So instead of paying for people to remix her songs for singles, which is expensive, they knew the singles would sell regardless, because Ayu has a large following.
Which is why other artists have remixes and Ayu doesn't. Why pay for more if it's realy not going to change the sale of the single that much? On the other hand, less popular artists, like Day After Tomorrow, have remixes because that IS going to affect sales.

I don't see what the problem is, you don't buy Ayu CDs. :P JP!

I think 4 Songs is goooood, considering most of the other J-pop artist's singles have 4 songs, or even LESS. Some only have the normal and instrumental, only TWO tracks!! I think this is pretty gooood, especially because they are NEW songs getting remixed!! I want this really bad, i hope my friend preorders for me!!! I think the cover is soooooo pretty!!

awsome cover... but i thought "forgiveness" would have a more gentle, soft natural cover.. something along the lines like Endless Sorrow

well...I like the cover...it's pretty and very colorful...
compare to UH's sakura drop, I don't really like that cover because it looks quite different from the video itself.
I think this cover is nice, different from any other covers Ayu has so far...
let's just hope the sale would go great

are people taking that to be the official tracklist? if so, im really looking forward to the H/\L remix of [HANABI~episode II~]..
it got compared to [Daybreak] a lot, and apart from the chorus part, i really like the remix H/\L did of [Daybreak], so i hope that gets repeated with [H~epII~]...

the font to [forgiveness] is ****, it looks lame.. i was really surprised about the cover tho... i thought it would be mellow and calm, suiting a theme of forgiveness...
instead, its a surreal setting, ayus expression looks more like shes about to execute revenge on someone rather than forgive them imo... :P

I agree it looks like a wannabe sakura droppusu. I kinda don't care for it but whatever. I think it should have been more a sad cover or something like "A BEST" cover, the crying black and white one. All I can say is the music video better not have anything to do with the cover....usually doesn't but LET'S HOPE NOT!

There most likely will be one, considering avex is determined that ayu will be the artist of the year. And they will promote all of her releases as much as they can this year. I'm not sure if she will be artist of the year, considering this year has been quite slow for ayu (much like last year). The past two years being compared to ayu's usual rate of releases. It makes no difference to me though whether she wins or not.

I don't really find any similarities in the two covers as well (SAKURA Drops & forgiveness). They both have the "mystical" type feel, but Hikki looks nothing like a fairy on the cover. They're both unique in their own ways. (that sounds so cliche)

I do miss the 10-12 track singles, just because ayu's single releases were a 'big thing' and the remixes made the singles somewhat more exciting. Because no other artist did this. But I am content with the track number of singles nowadays. It doesn't make me not want to buy the single. I'd buy them for the same amount if they were only 2 tracks. (*is a collector*)

Anyway, I'm really excited about the new single. I've had it on pre-order since the first day it was up @ CDJapan. And thanks for posting the tracklist and cover :)

Ayu looks very pretty in this single! It kind of reminds me of one of Ayu's Kose Visse cm. The cm I am talking about is the one that has Naturally "Dolly Remix" in it. Well maybe it not exactly the same but that is just my opinion.

Well ayu does stuff like making a song with cheerful song but sad lyrics or vice-versa, and even do it with some PVs. So I wouldn't even be surprised if this cover represented a bloodthirsty fairy from the dephts of hell seeking for vegeance and full of hatred. Ayu is looking so EVIL in the cover, like an evil smile, sh's definitelly going to poison somene or tear apart the spinal chord of somebody :evillaugh :roflmao :evillaugh Guy I love this cover hahahah:evillaugh anything but forgiveness LMAO:laugh :roflmao :laugh

Ayu is usually the one who controls everything about her photoshoots and themes of covers. That's what she's known for. I'm sure she is the one who wanted the cover to look like this and she has some hidden meaning behind it like everything else.

Yeah, she is very well known for taking control of her image and basically what everyone sees of her. She even critized Britney Spears because Ayu "got the sense she isn't her own creation".

Leafy, I didn't say I thought it looked anything like it. To me, that's like comparing this cover to deep river, completely on the other side of the map.

I'm just curious to know what it is that made people think of the sakura drops cover, no one ever explained it.

Hmm..all I can say is that this cover doesn't exactly fit the 'casual' or 'beautiful' feel that Ayu has given us in covers like 'Daybreak', 'H', '&', Voyage etc. It's not like I don't welcome change cuz I really liked Free & Easy's cover :) but this one doesn't feel 'Ayu'...oh well my 2 cents.:thumbsup

I have a completely opposite opinion. That cover represents Ayu a lot. The artist who's not afraid to change, who's not afraid to innovate, even if her fans like it or not. Her covers are something very well worked who catchs a lot of attention. Just imagine if you go into a cd store and see all the same boring and ****ing cds with an artist sitting on the ground, hands on the knees and dressed with regular clothes in a white background with the name of the artist printed on it = cliche. The cd stores are so full of mediocre covers like this example I gave that they don't even call any attention anymore....Now what if you go into a cd store and see a colored cover with a butterfly look alike fairy in a mystic dark background forest with yellow flowers and rose petals (you can actually describe a cover like that since it's so rich with details lol). It SURELY draws a lot of attention, even if the person likes it or not. :laugh Ayu was really smart doing a cover like that. :D
