Ayu and Kaballah
Is Ayu into Kaballah (sp???) now like Madonna and Britney Spears?
The reason why I asked is because on the 3CD+DVD version of A COMPLETE, she's wearing a single, red stringed bracelet that I associate with people who are Kaballist. Normally, with a glitzy dress like the one she wore for the shoot, Ayu goes all out with the jewelry, but this time it was just a little odd to see that piece of string around her wrist. So what do you guys think? Is it just a bracelet, or is Ayu trying to tell us something? :innocent |
is that red?
I don't own the 3CD version, so I can only judge from a computer screen, but it seems as it's just silver, and it reflects the brown-ish background or something. It doesn't look red to me ^__^ But like I said, don't own that version. edit: oh I just checked her website and it DOES look red! Just a thin, red cord. Very strange indeed, very unlike her sparkly dress. |
PICTURE?..lol i dunno abotu Kaballah..but hmmmm
|
I would never noticed that,my eyes aren't really sharp, but what an interesting find!I didn't know that Brit-Brit was a Kaballist...
|
That's very observant of u.
Hmm, interesting though but I don't know much about Kaballah. Think I'll go read up on it after this. Ayu idolizes Madonna anyways but taking up the religion is another story. |
I never noticed that. I only ever saw the metallic clasp, but the red thread slipped my eye.
After thinking about it, though, I suppose she's only doing it for fashion. Remember all the times she's worn crosses? They were very in style for a while. Meanwhile, much like 90-some-odd percent of Japan, Ayu is probably agnostic, not Catholic. It's not a very religious nation at all, and Kaballah probably has next to no presence there. She probably saw Madonna wearing it, and thought it was cute. |
So anytime someone wears a red single stringed bracelet they believe in the Kaballah? Eeh no..
|
I'm a Jewish that lives in Israel and even I don't believe in Kaballah lol. XD
It would be funny if ayu would lol. |
^that's a little rude dont you think?
but anyway, doesn't red strings have some meaning in Asia? I don't really remember though. It's probably what evolusean said. She probably just thinks it's cute. |
^red string in Asia was believed as something that connects us to the one destined for us (lover, family, etc) or some sort I believe. Usually tied in the pinky finger as a symbol of connection/promise
I guess it's not red, it's gold...or my eyes probably fooled me |
Kabbalah*
And she definitely isn't. If you've seen previous covers and magazine shoots, you'll notice it is a gold bracelet. |
in the jewish religion (i'm jewish and go to a jewish school), that red string is supposed to protect you from being in danger. it's like god protecting you or something. my math teacher gave us the strings last year. (i don't have it now though, lol)
anyway, last year we also went to this rabbi that does kaballah and he told us all our futures. no joke. ANYWAY, i doubt ayu does that kind of thing. Quote:

Doubt it's for Kabbalah... it's quite thin compared to what the red-string Kabbalah bracelet normally looks like.
I don't think it's odd at all, hm. |

umm..where?
and isn't like if you wear a red thread, it's also like you're connected to something...or fate...where is that pic? |

If you meant to the first line I wrote so I didn't want it to sound too bold so sorry for that too. |
It's okay...it's just, with all the diversity on the forum...can't always be sure who is what, and who might be offended by what things and such.
Have to be careful with how we say our personal opinions. |
I noticed that too and it DEFINITELY looks red to me. Those of you who swear it's gold should point us to some pictures!

maybe its not kaballah ..probably just an accessories
http://ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79228 similar qn been asked |
ayu has been wearing that bracelet since months ago I think, you could find her wearing it in many previous mags.. maybe it's just a lucky charm given by her friend/family
|
I don't think it necessarily has to be a religious thing. It could just be a fashion type of thing like what was already mentioned. Maybe it's just a... bracelet. I have some single-string bracelets and they have nothing to do with anything. I bought them because I liked them. So, maybe she just likes the style of the bracelet.

I thought wearing red was good luck? I've worn red-string bracelets before to "ward off danger" (it didn't work), but not for Kaballah.

Most likely not Kabbalah. I wonder what the story is behind it too. |
A red string has also been linked to a certain weight loss motion, ayu was saying she wanted to loose 5 kg, maybe she kept it on to remind herself.
|
Jumping to conclusions much? There are actually plenty of places in Japan that just sell single-colored stringed bracelets. Some of them relate to your birth month. Japanese people are more into wearing accessories because they look nice, not because they have a religious affiliation. See the fad of wearing crosses.
p.s. Britney isn't into Kabbalah anymore. |
well this bracelet used to be kabbalah but since a lot of star where wearing it it sadly became an accessory tha everyone where for fashion without getting the true meaning of it . since ayu loves madonna i would said she tried to copy that . i dont believe she is kabbalist since the main religion are buddhist and shintoist .
