WHAT AN AMAZING SONG!!!
the arrangement... the instrumental... the vocal... the emotion... the song... SPEECHLESS OMG!!! but ayu really need to work so hard, to sing this song live... because i think this song is really a hard song to sing... and there is big possibility that she will sing this in the concert along with [WILL], we will see about that... [GREEN] is so COOL!!! |
I think it's pretty cool. For some reason, I wasn't WOW'd by it like I thought I would be, but that's probably because we had so many parts of the song before the FULL song came out, so I already knew exactly what it was going to sound like. :( I think, if she does this for Days, I'm not going to listen to more than one of the previews because it really ruined the effect of finally getting the full song for me. :(
On the other hand, I do think it's basically like a new version of Will that drags on and on and is more suited for GUILTY than (miss)understood. :yes |

However I think/hope it's like with MW, that the CD-version has a clearer chorus. |
I really love it!!! The instrumental has to be my fav bit about the song. It sounds to perfectly Chinese yet it had that ayu touch to make it unique :P
I hope that when the CD rip comes out the "da-da-dum-dum-dum" parts are louder. I think its just cuz this is a radio rip that they are so low |

I love it, first time in a while that I've really liked a song on first listen, usually it takes more than one for me to like any these days (and not just Ayu either). I just wish I had the money to get the single, makes me want to get the GREEN/days version.

the song has total potential to become one of her staple songs. it's great, it's really great and I never actually said that before on an ayu single release, because mostly they're growing with time on me.
if Days and maybe the whole album is heading in that direction, she finally came up with something new and fresh. |

I think it is quite BORING, and I actually liked the Panasonic preview. Idk, it just seems too bland to me. It will grow on me for sure, but for now I am just really looking forward to Days. I like Life better than this.

The intro is amazing! It's both calm and eerie at the same time. It's really hard to describe this song with words and I think I'm gonna leave it that way :)

the song is pretty good. maybe because i've heard the preview. i think the song is good, but not as WOW as other songs. i like the new theme ayu used, thats japanese traditional theme song. whenever i listen to it, it reminds me of ayu's opening song - i am in AT02. i can imagine how the song can relate with each other if ayu sing them together ^^
but too bad i dont see any connection about this song with the old shang hai PV theme :shrug |

WOW forget Mirrorcle World, this is like 10 times better than Mirrorcle World. Best new single in a long time. This has the different kind of sound to it that everyone has been demanding for. Not listening to the bits and pieces that avex kept throwing at us has PAID OFF!

I do love the song, the arrangement and Ayu's vocals sound great. Do I like it more than MW - no, as MW was way more interesting and unique. &Don't get me wrong, I love GREEN!

GREEN is amazing. The beginning reminded me of alan's Sakura Modern song though. Other than that, I think the song is fantastic. And the ending was so beautiful!!

GREEN has one of the amazing arrangements I've heard in a while... beautiful! I love her high notes at "Yo ka", and the last part of the "lalala" parts... very nice. And the last strum of the guitar string sounds so oriental... gosh this is a masterpiece.

GREEN is definitely a return to epic arrangements for Ayu.
I think it's a fine release to "come back with".. And hopefully, MW doesn't find its way onto the next album. PLEASE. And if it does, Ayu needs to do a 17 track album. |

I think I'll love the song though. Do you think she'll do it on her 2009 tour? I hope so.. Though I feel that previews ruin the feeling of listening to a song for the first time, I do also think that if the song is really good, the previews shouldn't ruin it. Like, after listening to Endless sorrow for several years, it still gets to me a lot when I haven't listened to it for a while, and it just feels like it's my first time listening. The same goes for other perfect songs like JEWEL. |
From the beginning it pulls you in with those vogue-esque instrumentals. It has such a unique and exotic vibe -- so different from the usual. Her voice is perfect for the song... it has just enough emotion in it to give the song intensity, and I loved the ending, which was somewhat unexpected to me.
So yes... I love it. |

Oh I love the song! I can't wait for a better quality. I really love this type of song.
My only criticism though is that it lacks an emotional bridge. I think it would have given this song a much more special twist. I have a feeling that because of the lack of variation throughout the whole verses/chorus, the song might grow flat a little too fast on me. |

Okay, a whole ton of good reviews for this song...now you guys got me excited.
and micster said it was awesome. It has to be good. will edit in a minute. lol wow okay....that WAS amazing. It has the Ayu feeling...that old feeling...just different in a way. The LQ version doesn't do it justice. Everything will come out so much better in the HQ version...and now I can't wait for it. |
Ballads aren't my style. But I think GREEN is a real masterpiece. It's got the composition of a complicated ballad, and the arrangement of an epic rock song. I'm glad Ayu's able to release this type of song in 2008. In 1998, she'd never be able to sing such a deep song.
Personally this song'll get old on me, and I wouldn't listen to it often. But heck, it's a unique and really well-made track, and a nice addition to Ayu's discography. |

GREEN is so beautiful.
I first thought the instruments were just "cool" But they are actually ... WOWWWW. I woke up at 5:30 and im just awake listening to the song. The melody is so calm and mesmerizing Arrangement. awesome. It's definitely my favorite song up to date now. |
So far I can say I like the beginning and the ending a lot!! I am not sure if I am going to listen to this song a lot in the future but it's better then her other 2008 ballad life.

GREEN Intro sounds like "I am into jungle and going to hunt" more than Chinese style.

I just had a big argument with my boss like one hour ago and I was super pissed then I listened to GREEN and even with its poor quality audio rip it instantly put my mind into a state of tranquility.

That's all I could really say. The arrangment is absolutely fantastic, and that's just from listening to crap quality file. I was hooked into the song right from the beginning. I was kinda worried that the verses and the chorus wouldn't blend well together after hearing the previews, but it's great! I'm so happy with this song right now. The single could just be this song, forget Days! =P (j/k)! 2008 has been a good year for Ayu songs. :yes |

And I've really been digging Alan's songs lately with their traditional instruments and arrangements, so for Ayu to use this style is just too awesome. ...and the verdict is: IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! It's so melancholic and somber, but sincerely hopeful! It's so beautiful, I almost cried at the end with the ad lib...You can literally hear and feel Ayu through that part. Listening to it in the car had a TOTALLY different effect on me. Also...this song does contain samples of that Chinese song someone posted up a while back. The solo guitar part specifically. This song is not a cover...it just samples it a little. |

mirrorcle world was a masterpiece and she set the bar high for her next single, and this hasn't matched up to it at all. the beginning sounds like some weird jungle music which was just weird, and then went into a nice instrumental. i didn't like her singing voice, i don't like it when she tries to sound deep. she usually sings in a higher pitch and it works for her. her vibrato was too much, and it sounded really forced. it had a couple of nice parts, and the chorus is nice, the ending too... but the way it was executed was just not something i liked. if she sang it differently, i would have probably loved it. |

She has caused my addictive obsession to come back into my body and soul...and my mind. I LOVE every single note of that song and can't wait 'till the actual single is released. About that "chinese" elements...you see people...it's all in my sig down there..."ASIA IS ONE". Look at those AsiaTours, chinese versions of her albums, Taiwanese versions of her albums, photoshoots all around Asia...she UNITES the whole of that tremendous country...and FINALY, we have a unique song that demonstrates Ayu's feelings about being ASIAN, belonging to ASIA and loving ASIA...all the time. Anyway, I would like to know...just briefly...what are the lyrics about...I don't speak japanese XD |

GREEN was okay but I can't say I'll listen to it that much. It has this "it's okay but boring at the same time" factor to it. The melody was nice and clamming but Ayu's voice didn't really fit into this song. As cutie said, she was try'n to sound deep but her notes were cut short whenever she tried to hold them and she sounded sick while singing the whole thing. Overall, I hope Days was a lot better than GREEN.

I thought it was one of her best songs in a while. I didn't like her stuff after Secret not one bit. While I thought it was nice and fresh from her, I found it a tad predicable in alot of the parts. I give it a... 7/10.

I haven't listened to any previews at all! Except from the Panasonic ad which I only listened to once. The song isn't so bad. I like the oriental feel mixed with the rock edge. The song is really unique and there's definitely no other Ayu song that sounds like it. Like most, I agree that the instrumentals are simply wonderful. I like the la-la-las near the end. I've been really hating her la-la-las lately (Oh God, MW! *dies*) so that's good!
Personally, GREEN doesn't really has much playcount value to me. I also don't like the way she sings the song. Not sure why. But overall, it's an okay song. |
