RULE/Sparkle sales and covers predictions
 

Do you think RULE/Sparkle will be sold in more than 200k copies because of the Dragon Ball movie or will end like MW and GREEN/Days? Thoughts?

I think the MW and GREEN/Days's covers are very similar, do you think Ayu will continue with that style or she's gonna suprise us?

It might sell more this time because of such a big tie-in actually. More exposure will definitely help it. She's probably going to change her style...I just hope it's not influenced in any way by that movie. For some reason when I think of "Rule", I picture her in the outfit from "my name's WOMEN" PV.

I hope the covers will be like MW and D/G because I really like those.

I think the sales will start of like D/G but get a boost once the movie comes out.

Yeah so honestly I want Ayu to make these covers like over the top sexy haha. I wanna see some promiscuous looking Ayumi! Haha. I hope they're great! I am going to predict the sales at 203,000.

Rule more than likely is going to be some kind of emotional rock song for me. I don't know...I feel it'll be similar to stuff she's done in "My Story" era, or something similar to T2M, Because of you, GAME, etc. As such I think the cover should sport a sexy and fierce Ayu. The lyrics of Rule itself comes off as pretty fierce and defiant.

I think it will definitely sell well considering the tie-in. But the definition of "well" is different for everyone so... I'm not sure.

I'm predicting Rule is going to sound like Gackt's Redemption for Dirge of Cerberus, or maybe something like decision.

I can't really predict sales. I am hopeful for 200K+, but her rock singles haven't really done too well recently. People seem to be getting tired of her doing rock songs. If anything the movie release will give it a boost, or R/S will give a boost to D/G

Yeah now that I think about it T2M was one of her lowest selling singles no? It was actually my first song of hers though and I loved it haha.

Can't say anything about the sales.

I expect the covers will continue the trend xD (read: quite boring), but I think with straight hair and a darker background this time.

But I'd love for her to prove me wrong! :D

Her rock singles don't sell well, and have always sold lower than her other singles. I think that's due to the fact that people don't associate Ayu with rock and don't want her to sing that. It's kinda like how Ai Otsuka's known for her peppy up-beat songs, and when she doesn't make a lot of them, people don't like her as much. :/

As such, even with a tie-in, I don't think this single will do spectacular. I think it will do BETTER than MW or D/G, but I don't know by how much. As for the covers, I can't imagine her continuing with these sorts of covers. Actually, I can, but I don't think she will. For some reason I'm imagining covers similar to is this LOVE?/STEP you. Which were terrible, unfortunately. :no

ohh that's weird bc i always thought of ayu as a rock princess and love her singing rock :heart

anyway i really hope she stops the trend with things in her hair, MW and Days/GREEN were pretty but i think it's time to stop and do something different :cool

I can't fathom a guess of actual numbers but I think she will do better than G/D sales but nothing too spectular. Honestly the Honda Zest image pops into my mind whenever I think of Rule covers.

How can you not associate Ayu with rock...? Hell, that's all she's been releasing since LOVEppears. Lol.

For some reason I want something really un-Ayu for the cover...

I want a shot with her from her neck to her navel (no face) with her hands on her hips like with LOVEppears, only with RULE written in red on her abdomen vertically... only that wouldn't leave much room for Sparkle ^^;.... It's weird I know, but whatever lol.

Oo!! I think it'll sell really well and...and... the covers will have a photoshopped moon! :D In all seriousness, I think it'll have Ayu in a bikini top and jeans with the sunset in the background! ^^

IMO Rule/Sparkle will at most do abit better than MW in terms of first week sales. Chart life wise...might be shorter than G/D's. Cover wise, i think ayu might continue with the MW + G/D style.

I hope she does a dark cover instead of anything resembling Mirrorcle World & GREEN/Days. I mean, her 10th Anniversary will almost be over, and there's no more 10th Anniversary versions of old songs coming out. Chart wise, I hope it does 200k+ in the first week!!! Maybe with the tie-ins she has going for the songs it can happen~ We'll just have to wait and see.

I think the covers of Mirrorcle World and Days/GREEN were specifically for her 10th anniversary, I highly doubt Rule/Sparkle will resemble them in the least.

Her 'rock' songs never sold as well compared to her upbeat pop singles. This single may sell around as much as Mirrorcle World.

Yea rock singles dont appeal to jPOP fans...but with a tie-in like this, it might work both ways. Some people might find the Movie as crap so they might even not like the song..etc..but Some people might like it because Dragonball IS from Japan..so i dunno
(i can understand if some japanese feel rather offended if the movie turns out not well)

I think the song is gonna be good. Though the chorus seems short in length..going by the words..(Each line is short)
I need something impactful and with attitude..
and hopefully slightly different

as for the covers, we need something fierce heh...

I spoke with my friend in Japan... He doesn't think the movie will be good at all and he feels the general public feels the same so I'm kind of worried.... I hope he's wrong xD;

I think more than 200k. The songs (R/S) have many promotions than G/D or D/G. World wide promotions from the movie.

Plus the Honda tie-in is big as well, I predict it selling pretty well, at least I don't think it has the chance of killing her #1 streak.

I also agree with the people who say it won't be like MW and D/G. I think, besides the lack of 10ths, the fact that it's missing the first press long case is a big clue of that

cause thats very rock-ish =p

I hope for a cover that isn't similar to Mirrorcle World and Days/GREEN. I actually think the similarity between the two was kind of a coincidence, so I have a feeling it will be different anyway. But I want darker colors. :)

I really want these covers to be different from MW and D/G... SOMETHING PURPLE lol. She hasn't really had a purple cover *I think* unless you count Bold & Delicous..

I was so, so disappointed with the Days/GREEN covers.

I was hoping for a photoshoot with her in the outfit from the beginning of the GREEN PV in the streets. >_<

For Rule/Sparkle, I hope the covers are something similar to how she looked in the HONDA CM. <333 I was thinking the MW and D/G covers were something she did similar because of her 10th anniversary. If she continues on with it, I'll be so bored~

Rule has better be good!! Because I don't really like the idea of Dragonball Movie,, 'something' must make this movie quiet nice to watch,,

I also really like the styles for the MW and G/D covers. I think she'll continue with the style but because RULE is a supposably dark song i think the covers should be dark too.

I just hope the covers aren't overphotoshopped to death like the Days/GREEN covers.

I hope we'll get some cool interesting covers and totally different from MW and days/green...but I won't get my hopes up coz it'll probably be done by the same photographer...:rolleyes...as for the sales, I don't think the movie will help that much to be honest. I will be nice if it can boost the sales but I don't see it selling over 200k. I'm guessing around glitter/fated...I do hope ayu will prove me wrong though.

I picture her with the outfit form Honda Zets Spark CM, that would be great!!!

I think they might keep it simple this time again, and also very elegant and beautiful just like her pasted 2 singles.

I see something like t2m was, like a hips up picture, with a dark background (between black and gray), she might be wearing a black glittery or shiny dress, her arms holding her back head like in A COMPLETE.
