How do you display your Ayu things?

I recently became the proud owner of a B2 sized poster from Arena Tour 2006 (I think?), but I've put off actually putting it on my wall for a couple weeks now because I just can't decide how to put it up! It's completely stupid, but I'm afraid to mess it up by pressing poster tack into it. I made such a fuss that my mom actually went out and bought me a frame for it, though I'd have to shave off a tiny sliver from the edge of the poster to make it fit. Still, framing it somehow seems sort of silly, too, so I just don't know what to do!
So I'm curious. How do you guys put your stuff up? Is anyone else as nitpicky and ridiculous as I am about their Ayu stuff? :P

My posters get a bit creased on the corners (except for the heavily laminated ones) and they all have tape/whatever on the back, lol. As long as it doesn't ruin the poster, it doesn't matter to me. I like to think of my posters as "well-loved" :P

If you're using rubber/rubber-like poster tack that can be molded like a soft eraser, it shouldn't do any damage to the poster. Framing it can look really nice though.

But maybe you've already done that by now.

All of my Ayu stuff are in a cupboard andI let my poster in the roll packet

Iyreen 20th March 2009 12:16 PM

I put my ayu things inside a shelving of book rack, and the posters are kept in tube. No space to hang them :(

U-GO-BOY 20th March 2009 12:31 PM

I framed my Arena Tour 2006 poster~

HanabiChick 20th March 2009 12:31 PM

I have my posters up, and my CDs, DVDs, and VCDs are all on one shelf in my bookcase with the face cloth I won with A COMPLETE.

Zoe88 20th March 2009 12:34 PM

i have a second writing desk, so i put all my ayu-stuff there. so that everybody who enters my room see them^^
like a altar or something... ok that sounds weird...

i don't have posters yet. but i think i would frame them

Chef+Vanny 20th March 2009 01:00 PM

i just leave them in their original state
(rolled up):D
no place to hang them up coz nt staying @my own house

chloeM 20th March 2009 01:12 PM

i had ayu's album on a rack... well, alongside with my avril albums

LacusClyne 20th March 2009 01:13 PM

i don't have place to hang my poster, i can only hang the ayu 09 calender on my cabinet, as for the rest of the poster, i keep them rolled up in a tube.

As for my cds/dvds/books/mags, they are all well kept in my glass cardboard.
My tour merchadise are stored in a box, stuff in my cabinet

It's not silly to have your poster framed my friend. Some people (like you and me) don't like ruining it with tape or tack, especially if it's a rare or beautiful poster. My dear mum loves to clean and "wipe" things down. That's why you'll notice I have all my CD/DVD's preserved in plastic OPP bags so the moisture on that rag of hers does no harm. I also have my posters of Ayu framed for this reason. As a matter of fact I'm probably going to get 2 more frames for Secret and BLUE BIRD so my wall will be almost covered...maybe one for A COMPLETE if I decide to hang it. Just to give you an idea of how good it could look with professional frames:

These are actually high quality professional movie poster frames with non-glare UV-filtered plexiglass. Plexiglass doesn't attract anything to itself, or barely so no wiping required. They were custom cut for Japanese B-2...very snug fit. If you have the cash I'd highly recommend these. The best thing is if you own multiple posters, you can easily switch them around in the frames. In the end it's up to you whether to frame or not. To each his own. I'm kind of a hopeless case when it comes to these things haha.

Excuse the uh...crappy wall (that's why I cover it up in the first place with Ayu lolol).

This should belong in the "Post pics of your collection" thread but like most people...my items are on a shelf.

Meh...it's a modest collection really. Just all her albums/latest three singles and concert DVDs. I probably could have bought a lot of her singles with the money I used to buy those frames haha. I hate my wall though...can't wait to move out of this house and into a house with nice white walls.

asmAyumi1992 21st March 2009 07:48 AM

I don't like any posters hang in my room. It looks really messy. I don't like messy things. The posters I usually just keep them in the drawer. I locked the drawer so that no one will open the drawer. The CDs I put them on my make up table. My Ayu's collections are not much. That's why I just put them on the table.

Dont have any posters =[ Our landlord wouldn't let me put them up anyway...protecting his precious (and ugly) "vintage" wallpaper. x_x I hate that my familiy doesnt own a house. As for CD's, those go in this little glass....cupboard....thingy thats attached to the wall.

douggn 23rd March 2009 09:08 AM

I keep my cds, dvds and vcds in a bookshelf and I have my posters up but I want to get frames for them

Jason 23rd March 2009 09:16 AM

CDs - There's a shelf on my dvd shelves, and my ayu cd's are stacked up right beside my death note mangas and besides those, my video games :P My ayu compilations are on top of her studio albums stacked beside each other.

DVD's - On the shelf below the CD's with all my other music DVD's.

Posters - I dont have that many posters, but they're all up on my wall :)

extepan 23rd March 2009 01:08 PM

i dont display the cds and posters...i just put them in my drawer

kendelle 24th March 2009 04:11 AM

I have the top shelf in my CD shelf dedicated to Ayu. My 10th anni versions are able to fit becuase the top shelf is very big, and all the albums are stacked on top of the singles because I use them more.

I'm waiting on a bunch of CDs from Dora, but when they arrive and at least one copy of NEXT LEVEL, I intend on taking some pics for the collector's thread :)

I have a MW poster (You version) from Taiwan on my built in robe roller door, as well as bootleg posters from RAINBOW and a random shot of Ayu in a pink frilly shirt. I also have the Taiwan MW-Depend on You, the japanese MW-You from the First Press and the Toriyama drawing--maybe 1-2 others but I forget :( Most of them are rolled up and kept inside larger posters, anime ones that I've had for years ^^

My tour DVDs are with my other DVDs but I seperate them a little - they are the barrier between some of my anime single DVDs and my anime PC games :P

ArchangelLegend 25th March 2009 03:59 AM

on my face

taskinillusion 25th March 2009 05:48 AM

Oh I definitely frame my posters. :yes

And I display my DVDs, CDs, books, Ayupan, etc, on my desk, bookshelves, and chest-of-drawers, natch.

Lanz16 25th March 2009 06:00 AM

I don't display my collections, my mom will found it as a mess on the house.

My CDs are stored on my CD box while the newst singles (i.e. MW, D/G, R/S) are wrapped in a bubble wrap.

The posters I've got so far are stored on a long box.
No creases or whatsoever.
