heh. it's nothing special.
some songs are quite catchy (FYI is kinda addictive) but overall I find this album boring :/ and the lyrics are quite dissapointng... I mean, they quite good, but from time to time there are parts that don't fit and they make me laugh which ruins the song :/

No, unfortunately I find it a disappointment. I actually liked Exodus, but this feels too generic. Slow/ballady, very little that catches my attention.

I know it's a lot more commercialized than her previous works, but I rather like it. :) It's short of amazing, but I definitely think it's good.

I was honestly surprised with this album. I didn't really have high expectations, but I was blown away. All of the songs (minus two) were really damn good! The previews didn't do anything, and didn't showcase off how wonderful the songs actually are. Poppin' is my favorite <33

Yeah, I like it. The only two songs that bother are CBTM and Me Muero but the rest is catchy.

There's only ...4 tracks I find amazing. The rest are just alright. I Still plan to buy this when it becomes available just to show some support.

I'm pleasantly surprised at it, but it's nothing special. Still, I liked it. Some of the compositions are really nice and although the lyrics kinda make me roll my eyes ("love you long time"? Really now, Hikki?) it's still not all that bad.

Honestly, I always saw Utada as an artist who was getting better and better as time went by. ULTRA BLUE and HEART STATION were amazing albums.

This Is The One just feels like a step back for her. The composition was bland, the style and everything about it feels like a complete step back from the standards her previous Japanese albums set for her. Though, the lyrics were an improvement from Exodus (seriously, I think I felt uncomfortable listening to Exodus during some songs...). I think This Is The One is Utada's worst work yet.

I like it, 1000000x better then Heart Station. It's not her best work, but it's enjoyable, and there are some pretty good songs (Apple and Cinnamon <3)

yeah, i like it :D it honestly was a good album, but i'll always love her jpop albums much more.

For me, come back to me is the best song so far, the intro of Merry Xmas is cute and kinda chinese song feel. Overall, the album is more radio-friendly compared to her exodus which i felt so boring most of the songs there, although i love Kremlin Dusk to death.

I wonder what happen to her English album cover art? Hikki Japanese album cover arts are so beautiful and lovely. But this 2nd album cover look just the same design as her Exodus, so cheap and low quality. What happen to her record company?? It is such a huge disappointment to me.

I really, really enjoyed this album! :D I thought it was amazing.

I'm not huge fan of some mainstream music, but This Is The One has something so magical in it that I fell in love with the moment On and On began playing on my Windows Media Player. I really love the album and every song on it so I can't say nothing else than "I love it!". :)

Its not my fave album ever, but its good. There isn't anything that absolutely strikes me as incredible, but there isn't anything I hate from it. Y'know what I mean?

But does anyone find the album a little depressing? I mean, it has 5 (depending on how you view it) breakup songs. Come Back To Me, Me Muero, Apple & Cinnamon, This One (Crying Like A Child), and Taking My Money Back.

And Its repetative, lyrically. They're all about 'I want you back' (Come Back To Me, Apple & Cinnamon), 'I want you more' (On and On, FYI), or 'I want you now' (Poppin', Dirty Desire).

I love This Is The One! I think it's one of her best albums ever, maybe even the best.

I really really like it! Its different from what she usually does and I dont think I've ever heard an International album quite like TiTO.

There are some good songs on there, but I think it's her worst album so far.

"This Is The One" hands down has got to be her worst album ever. It is her only album I never plan on owning.
She honestly struck gold with Exodus but not this one.

i dont like it because it sounds " american " and there is already plenty of artist that sounds like that in america ( its a commercial crap made and design specially to sell in US it sounds nothing like utada) .hip hop and rnb ... i had an overdose lol +she sings in english and i dont like when she sing in english +i prefer her unique jpop sounds

i think this is a very dissapointing album.. its the worst of all her records! but it has the best song she ever made: meery xmas mr lawrence!

I listened to it once and never listened to it again.

And that's the kind of mind set that keeps Asian artists from getting any exposure here in the US....unfortunately.

Nope :no I dont think it was a very good album. I think she was trying to hard to make it for an american audience that it actually didn't sound anything american. Overall she doesnt make good music for an american mainstream audience but Utadas japanese music is amazing :yes

This is so awful, whenever I hear it, a part of my soul dies. Shocked at how awful this is. This is an Hikki album after all o.o
