Because NEXT LEVEL has for it's first week totalized 241.000 albums sold and is No 1 (week 06/04 of Oricon), Ayu become officially the 1rst artist to be ranked No 1 of Oricon first week album's ranking during 11 years (from her "debuts")!

I think it's the same thing with the singles; she's the first (probably female solo) to have a number one full (studio or compilation) album every year since her debut (which is a period of 11 years).

A BEST was released in 2001, I guess making her in contention for this record.

I even don't understand. Oricon means she won at least one #1 album every year since 1999. So, in 2008, she couldn't get #1 for Guilty, but she won for A Complete.

BUT, in 2005, she didn't get #1. MY STORY was #1 at the end of 2004, MY STORY Classical got #4 in 2005.

In oricon years she's the only female solo artist in those 11 years that got #1 for albums and singles every year in a row since her debut.
Oricon give awards and achievements according to their own years.
The oricon year stars around mid (around 10th-15th) December and ends a day before hand.

it's in first week ! GUILTY lost #1 when ORICOn combined 2 weeks ! My story was released on 17/12 and at that time Oricon had ended 2004 chart so Ayu had another #1 for 2005 ( i think that ^^ )

MY STORY was released in late 2004 so it was counted to 2005 Oricon charts, because the oricon chart year starts earlier than the year actually changes.

GUILTY didn't get #1 in 2008 but A COMPLETE did.

No. Because A BEST, A BEST 2 and A COMPLETE are counted. It's just albums in general, not specifically studio albums.

RAINBOW, Memorial address and MY STORY were all released in December of 2002, 2003 and 2004 respectively. Due to that, the Oricon year that they were counted in was pushed back by a year.

GUILTY is also in Oricon year 2008, and although it got #2 weekly, Oricon counted A COMPLETE to represent 2008 for Ayu instead.

(on the REAL first week it was #1, but because it was released on January 1st and was already been sold in the last week of December, they got together the two weeks and it lost for ARASHI or else, if I'm not sure. Remeberin' that ORICON doesn't work in the last week of December). That's happend also with I am... and (miss)understood, both released in January 1st.

So now we see the real intention they had behind releasing A COMPLETE. They didn´t want to miss the record after what happened with GUILTY...

I don't think it was the main intension to this album though, but it was on the way.
With GUILTY they clearly showed that they prefer good sales over keeping positions streaks with albums.
With AC they got also great sales with great profit and a #1 that would bring that record up.

No, GUILTY never got #1, not in the first week nor the 2nd week.

The Oricon article is saying that Ayu has a #1 album EVERY YEAR (not EVERY ALBUM)

MY STORY is in the 2005 chart because Oricon counts all the CD released after late November into the next year. So, Ayu has at least ONE album with #1 in 11 years

Really? I thought GUILTY got #1 in the first week, but then Kobukuro had a super boost during GUILTY's second week which managed to overtake GUILTY, causing GUILTY to get #2 when you count 2 weeks together.

It´s a HUGE institution in the Japanese music industry, with great power inside it and its own rules and little tricks xD It´s website is more of a musical entertainment site, more than just showing the charts, and they have their own system to rule years and releases, so that´s why it´s tricky to learn about it at the beginning.
