Haha! Wow.
|
Lollllllllllllllllll that's hilarious XD
|
Yea, what's wrong with being naked? xD
|
Woah, I am quite shocked by the news. o_O
|
i hope he enjoys getting naked in jail! scum!!

BUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING NAKED.
Oh gee. Kusanagi. I can't believe he did that -_- I actually laughed my ass off when I saw this on MSN Today .__. |
WHAT?! lol. I'll repeat again, WHAT?!?! This sounds like a KATTUN scandal, not a SMAP one!
"Television stations reported the arrest by flashing bulletins usually reserved for earthquakes and other major events, while television helicopters filmed the park from the air after sunrise." :roflmao On a serious note - I hope there isn't a SMAP backlash over this. But man, poor Tsuyoshi.....he must be dying of embarrassment right about now. Quote:
|
I actually saw this on perezhilton.com first. I was scrolling through the page and remembered Kusanagi's face from when Ayu was on SMAP! and performed UNITE! with them so I just had to post it here. :laugh
If the news reports flashed warnings only used in dire situations like earthquakes, I wonder what they'd do if something like this happened to Ayu! LOL! |
Why wasn't I there to see it?
Though yeah there are things he should do at home in private (like getting drunk and strip in front of his girlfriend/boyfriend whoever he wants) :yes |
Quote:
This just brightened my day ;D |
Here's a news report about it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2rCdMHJ8eg They removed every billboard of him. The incident is a bit funny but he's really poor, he should take better care next time. =\ |
Just watched the video. Poor Kusunagi. :( Should be a lesson not to drink, especially if you are a member of SMAP! Arashi - take note!
|
i love how alcohol's the reason of the current "big" JE scandals. LOL.
....that or a car (LOOKIN' AT YOU RYO NISHIKIDO). :laugh i also love how this story was posted 3 times on OH NO THEY DIDN'T! :cool |
Quote:
you imagine the after effects/back lash of this incident & yes I wouldn't deny it , I was laughing so hard when I 1st found this out but not anymore heck even the local news & in today's papers talked about it O_O |
^ Well Goro was arrested in the past for something that I would consider more serious and SMAP came out of it fine. But really so far this incident is showing just how out of proportion scandals can get blown in Japan. I mean already starting to blacklist him? You'd think he killed someone or something.

I don't know this time round for Kusanagi's case & it reminds to be seen how forgiving or not Johnny will be |
Quote:
The question isn't just Johnny being forgiving, but everyone in the entertainment industry. And the police as well. "As he is one of the industry's biggest stars, the incident is likely to have a big impact. He is already being pulled from several advertisements, including commercials promoting Japan's transition to all-digital broadcasts by 2011. One of the most recent reports says that he has lost his somewhat regular role on NHK's "PythagoraSwitch." Fuji TV will likely have the toughest decision to make, as Kusanagi is a regular on four of the network's popular shows. Kusanagi also has a starring role with Yui Aragaki in the movie "Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta" (directed by Takashi Yamazaki). Filming has already wrapped up and the picture was scheduled for a September 5 release, putting distributor Toho in a difficult spot. TV Asahi is also considering their options, as it had planned to run some TV specials about the film on weekends from April 25 to May 18." btw, this is even being reported on the BBC now. :thud Another article: "Kusanagi's Arrest to Cost Billions The media have been busy for the last day or so analyzing the aftermath of Kusanagi Tsuyoshi's arrest. Some big numbers are being thrown around as estimates of the cost to the companies that have a financial stake in him. At the time of his arrest he had 7 commercial contracts, 8 regular TV and radio shows and a movie due for release in September. Columnist Himura Masaaki (59) said, "With SMAP being probably Japan's top talentos, Kusanagi alone would get about ¥50 million for an ad. As a group, their guarantee would be ¥120-150 million. Even just a music tie-up would bring in ¥50 million at a bare minimum." He estimated that the cost to Johnny's Jimusho agency just in terms of this lost income would add up to about ¥420 million. But on top of that, with the cost of posters, TV, magazine and newspaper ads, those companies would be looking at losses of ¥500 million each. So Johnny's could easily be faced with having to compensate sponsors to the degree of ¥5 billion. And then of course there's disgruntled TV networks and the ongoing effect on future earnings as well. All in all, it turns out to have been a pretty expensive naked romp in the park. Meanwhile fans and commentators have been questioning why police decided to search Kusanagi's Tokyo apartment after the arrest. As he tested negative for drugs and the incident took place elsewhere, the search should not have been part of the investigation. Lawyer Osawa Takayuki said, "It's very unusual in such a case. As he's a celebrity and the impact of the arrest is very wide, they may have decided to do it just in case." Nihon University law professor Itakura Hiroshi said, "The prosecution of this case may be unexpectedly harsh. But I think he will be released soon. Even if he's indicted, he should face a fine of les than ¥300,000. I certainly don't see him getting a prison sentence." I think most of Japan is so uptight they should all go for a naked romp in the park. :) |
earlier on when my dad was watching the daily chinese news bulletin , they even talked about it O_O
If it's an average Joe that did such a thing , I suppose the Japanese will not make such a big hoo ha over it but the fact that this was committed by 1 1/5 of Japan's best selling Johnny's boyband , it's saying something otherwise Maybe to us it's not such a big deal but it's to the Japanese & frankly I think they're judging him too harshly it's not that everyone's perfect & etc . That's the harsh reality in being an Idol in Japan ugh , you get put down waay too hard & fast |
Rofl. Man, he must've tanked some hardcore alcohol. Sucks for the company though.
|
Wow. This is nuts. And in their 20th anniversary?!
I wonder what'll happen, but Sunshine probably summed it up for all of us. |
it's quite blown out of proportion . it's not like he did something really really bad. it's just that he was under the influence of alcohol that prompted him to do that. but maybe, in my opinion, because he's a celeb that is being idolized by young people, they should make a big deal about it just to show that the consequences of the bad actions.

If it had been me that lived there I would have been like, "holy crap its Tsuyoshi Kusunagi of SMAP drunk and naked outside my window!" Run downstairs grab an autograph and have him come and sober up at my place and for god sakes give the man some clothes. I certainly wouldn't turn him into the cops! lol.
I probably won't be able to sleep tonight because I keep getting visions of a drunk naked Tsuyoshi prancing around singing "What's wrong with being naked?" That should be SMAPs next single. :) Quote:
|
LMAO! I swear I remember seeing this on the news on my TV yesterday but I wasn't paying attention! I remember hearing the newscaster saying about someone saying "What's wrong with being naked" LOL.
|
^Tsuyoshi allegedly shouted "What's wrong with being naked!?" to the police lol. Tsuyoshi looks so innocent though, I can't see him doing something like this.
And I agree with Sunshine. I definitely wouldn't turn him into the police! But what if you took Tsuyoshi in, gave him some clothes and waited for him to sober up? The police can't arrest you for something like that? If this situation went that way, I can totally see the news: "Kusanagi Tsuyoshi of SMAP! was seen naked and under the influence of alcohol last night. A woman took him in and allowed him stay with her until morning when he was sober. Police believe the woman may have taken advantage of him during the time he was under the influence. Further information on this matter has not yet been released." :laugh |
saw this news in the morning..abit shocking..
|
Wow, even AOL news is reporting it. They have pictures of his arrest.
HOLY GOD! :thud Look at all of those paparazzi! http://www.popeater.com/music/articl...-star%2F443303 |
lol - I was reading about this on the News Channel on my Nintendo Wii :laugh

Quote:
Seriously. The paparazzi look 100x worse in Japan than it does in the US. I don't think I've ever seen that many paparazzi around a US star for anything! Those poor police men, some of them had to have been trampled on. @3@; |

Buy a T-Shirt with the quote "what's wrong with being naked?" LOL I need to find someone in Japan to purchase this for me. |

Of all people, it had to be Tsuyoshi Kusanagi going around naked :P Ew. Why couldn't it have been Takuya Kimura instead? Haha!
As liberal as I hope I am, I sympathize with the Japanese reaction to this as I really have something about public indecency and exposure. Really, it's not about the naked person losing any sort of respectability, or about the general respectability of society diminishing. It's about me having to bear witness to something I would rather not see. I'd prefer having the choice whom to see naked or explicitly, thank you very much. Respect my freedom of space, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi! Better to nip things in the bud. |

Shingo Katori apologizing and hoping that people will forgive Tsuyoshi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DdQCvne_vY
Sad. |
^ Who is Shingo Katori? *unsure*.
And why is he apologizing for Kusanagi? |
^He's a member of SMAP band (and most likely) a friend of Tsuyoshi.

On a side note, I wouldn't mind seeing Yamapi or Shige running naked in the park near my back yard ^_^ |
I wouldn't mind if tegoshi yuya and nishikido ryo together would jump naked over me :x

Tegoshi doesn't strike me as someone who will do that , I still sees him a bit girlie at this point in time :lmfao then again I'm not the only 1 who said that , KAT-TUN's Tanaka did when he appeared at Shounen Club Premium last year :laugh |

As for Erika, His treatment right now is way worse than what ERIKA had (and he is much more famous than her so I don't really think the situations are that comparable) and as much as I like ERIKA, a lot of people have said she has a bad attitude and is difficult to work with - who would blame people then for not wanting to work with her? Whereas this is the only thing Tsuyoshi has pretty much ever done wrong. The punishment so far is definitely not fitting the crime, such as a Japanese politician calling him "the worst human being ever." I'm sure that politician has done far worse things... |
^ yes I would absolutely apply the same to Ayu. That politician is over-reacting, I don't mind him running naked in the street, really, if that's what he likes, then by all means he should do it, but that's Japan we're talking about, he has certain responsabilities that come with proffesion and considering how long he's been doing his job he should've known better. I am sorry I will never understand people who get drunk cuz they're miserable. There is really no good excuse imo. Would you really like a CM featuring someone who seems to be having a drinking problem?
Ayu at least seems to be careful about what and where she is doing stuff :) |
oh well. this wld seriously affected his image..
|
Quote:
|
wow amazing...
|
he's a weirdo~~?
|
Quote:
nah he's not this's what happens when you drink way too much & can cause you to do stupid things like this thank goodness I have no plans to drink in any single way at all alongside with smoking |
I think Japan is overreacting as well, but Japan and I may see this differently because of cultural differences. Despite the custom to drink after work, it may be unacceptable to get so drunk that you expose yourself in public. Maybe Japan thinks public exposure is a great misdeed. I don't really know. :shrug I thought Japan overreacted when the Koda Kumi incident happened, and I thought that what she said wasn't that big of a deal. But I guess due to cultural differences, Japan saw it differently.
I'm a bit ambivalent toward this incident. It's kinda amusing, but it's also kinda sad to see that Tsuyoshi basically tarnished his career with this one mistake. In my opinion, he doesn't deserve all the scorn and criticism he's getting at the moment. Sure, he's an idol and therefore should behave well; I agree that his behavior wasn't right. But it's nothing worth getting so angry about. :no I hope Japan will soon forgive him and that they won't hold this incident against him for too long. |
New article from Tokyograph:

thanks for the update Tracy
I hope this matter will be over before everyone knows it |
Finally some sort of sanity.
|
the local newpaper in my country reported about the after effects of Kusangai today
at least Johnny-san will not be taking serious actions against him & even the Japanese public themselves said that they're too hard/harsh against Kusangai for committing this 1 off set action |
Oh well hopefully he won't humiliate himself in the future..
|
lol. SMAP's last single, which came out way back in fall of last year is #11 on the singles chart right now!
|
LOL - ok that's just sad, it seems almost any kind of publicity will make certain people sell, first ayaka's albums and now this >.<

I saw that via http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/d/more/2/ I really don't know if this's considered good or bad but I guess any form of publicity be it good or bad , still sells Quote:
|
It's weird that it happened now though - the scandal has been out for over a week...
Maybe this was actually some kind of concerted effort by fans to say that they want SMAP and Tsuyoshi to continue. |
"Television stations reported the arrest by flashing bulletins usually reserved for earthquakes and other major events, while television helicopters filmed the park from the air after sunrise."
That part was major lulz. XD |
Psh I bet they arrested him cos of his hot bod ;)
they were jealous haha |
La!
|
this is hilarious they should show pictures lollll
