Ayu's tasking in Turkish pop
 

I don't know if you guys have ever heard of Turkish pop star Hande Yener (she's pretty popular), but I was listening to her latest album, and the opening of the title track is veeeeeery familiar :)

And when I say veeeery familiar, I mean the exact same as tasking. But after the opening the song is completely different.

Just an interesting little tidbit :) What you guys think?

either 3 totally diferent and un-connected composers had the same dream one night and came up with the exsact same composition, or it's a string sample used coincedentlly by many composers^^

I suppose it's a coincidence. It's so easy to come up with these beats with the sampling technology these days.

Kk, yeah it sounds like tasking, but so many songs sound like tasking. It's a pretty common string sample.

The opening sounds tasking to me with added electronica feel into it.

I tought that's come from a classical composition or a sample music (anyone has noticed that the beginnin' of ourselves is the same of a song from FFXII's soundtrack?) D: but I don't know which is it!

I'm thinking it might be one of those things. For instance, on the Chrono Cross OST composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, there's this one very distinct loop of beats and electronic sorta piano noises... mind you, this is from Japan, right? Well if you listen to one of the songs by the German group L'Ame Immortelle, you'll hear that EXACT same melody in the background of a song. I can't remember the title now, but I was stunned silly when I first heard it.

I wouldn't exactly call ourselves and the prison theme the same. It's similar, but not the same really...

Ayu didn't steal it, her composer did. Big difference.

Yup you're totally right, it does sound exactly the same. But it sounds good nonetheless, well the beginning then it kinda starts to annoy.

Well...its the same melody played by the same instrument, might even be a sample with an effect laid over.

It wasn't the Black Eyed Peas, but Hoobastank's "Don't Tell Me." (taskinst was the track though)

With all of these "copies" of tasking floating around (used in Granado Espada OST, various artist's song arrangements) I'm beginning to wonder if all tasuku really did (does?) was sample from a music library and assemble most of the task- tracks that way. Poor tasuku getting called a copycat if that's the truth.

Yea, someone posted something about this last year or so? It is strangely odd how similar they sound. Artists copy other artists constantly, so it wouldn't be a big shock to me if it were copied or whatever. Not saying that it is, but still.

I'm beginning to doubt anyone's really that "guilty" when it comes to these...

I wonder if tasuku just has a knack for choosing some really good music samples that others choose as well [see the Granado Espada BGM, Hoobastank's Don't Tell Me, this foreign song, a song by FIR in Taiwan that supposedly sounded exactly like taskinillusion and so on] and people have been wrongfully accusing tasuku of copying others when they've probably just been using the same set of musical samples that he does.

Yea. They could use the same sample track and never even know, actually. Not all producers/arrangers/composers know each other and what kind of sound/styles they work with. So I could see it being a coincidence.
