Ayu listening marathon
 

So, starting rest and for the rest of this week I have decided that in my free time im going to listen to all 11 of Ayu's albums without skipping a single song. I have A song for XX down and currently listening to LOVEppears, I was wondering if anyone else has done the same? im mainly doing this to discover new songs or rediscover some I used to like more.

haha i know that ownsarai was listening to all the ayu songs in alphabetical order...including all the remixes XD

i used to do that when i was an ayu newbie~ :D actually i would just put ayu on repeat for a whole week

but now i've been going on an alan marathon, i usually go on marathons when i'm really loving a particular artist/band

I did an Ayu Marathon with her albums AND singles. The Singles were the hardest xDDD

Now I am listening to them in alphabetical order by album (lol), I've had mine going for a few weeks now. ;)

no, I haven't done that. After one of my exams, I got really bored and tried to list all of Ayu's albums (that includes singles, remix albums, and everything) in chronological order. That didn't go too well...

We should all have an "Ayu Marathon" like that on Ayu's birthday. I'd do it...
I tried to listen to only Ayu on her birthday that just past last year but I didn't have the willpower. :no

I would try everything but I don't have all the remixes and those eurobeat ones give me a headache xD

I've done an Ayu Trance and an Ayu-ro Mix marathon. And I succesfully completed it. You're right, its hard.

I did that when I first started to lisen to her. I did it to get to know her music. Downloaded all of her albums put them on my ipod and lisen to her for a whole shopping day. Have you heard the phrase ''shop till u drop'' I am the one who invented that phrase.lol. Anyway after lisening to all her studio albums,reading her lyrics and biography I decided that she was my idol and I started buying her albums to support her.:D

i did that before! it's really fun. but if i did it with all her albums and singles..etc.. that would be too much omg. maybe one day if i'm too bored. but after that i'd have to have a break from listening to ayu for a while :laugh

Never tried an Ayumi listening marathon before, but I'm sure it will be cool to do that. :)

I do that. XD I don't know, nowadays I'm usually too lazy to make playlists and just put all my songs on shuffle. SO long as I got the music in my ears, I'm all good! XD

I can't sit still that long lol but I do make a very big play list of her music from all her albums and her remixs for when I clean my house or just in gerneral but iv never tried all her albums from first to last before

i've finished listen everything except the remixes 1...
i didn't skip any of the songs but just can't stand to press "next" for those remix versions

I've done like 3/4 albums in a row at once. They're all reallllllly good.

Never all 11 because.. who has time for that? Bathroom breaks, yo?

lol, since i dont have any ayu CDs, i go on a Mariah marathon.. too bad i always start at night and i fall asleep w/o turning off my stereo :laugh

I hear NEXT LEVEL's songs everyday in a week without skipping any track.

I'm on a Kuu marathon now XD

But I love listening to albums by themselves... they're stellar, really.

My favorite is giving each an album a "concert"... best starts from RAINBOW... and wow listening to a tour is so fun and cutie! <3

I never did an ayu marathon, but I plan on doing it in the summer holidays(startin in 3 or 4 weeks) or maybe on my birthday(mid-july)

I also do that. When my cousins ask me out and I'm tired, I'll just tell them I'm having my ayumi hama-rathon in my room and listen to ayu's disography all day. Well, If my mom won't nag at me because of the electricity!

Ive been on an ayu marathon for 1.5 years now. -sighs-

I'm going on an ayu marathon with ALL songs sometime in the summer ;) But I don't think I've done such before.. only with my own CDs and DVDs :P

But yeah, I think that the singles and remix albums are hard to listen to at points.

Usually I'll go like...a day...where I listen to nothing but Ayu. :P

I just finished a HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR marathon with all of their songs(except Dreams because I deleted that one unpurposely) and I remembered how much I love them...only 2 songs that I wanted to skip(but I didnt) but I doubt I can do the same with Ayu...

I wish I had free time enough to make it... I have done 3 I am... + MY STORY + Secret (my favourite albums) marathons back in 2007

I have never skip a track D: even Beautiful Day, my name's WOMEN, BLUE BIRD and Days (the Ayu's songs that I dislike)
Anyway I did an ayu marathon during her 30th birthday :yes

Yeah, alan's discography isn't that big, so there really isn't that much to listen to, unless you put the music on repeat, lol. Hopefully, her discography will grow bigger in a few years. ^^

I use to do some marathons but I don't really like to stick only with one artist, so I'll go for 3 or 4 albums in a row and then have to change. That's why in my Sony Walkman I always have music in shuffle so I can listen to all kinds of music. I can't see myself doing an all albums + singles + remixes mainly because almost every remix irritates me.

I've tried to do it but I got too impatient. XD

wow, how coincidental! I just started on Duty yesterday..

I've listened through 'A Complete -All Singles-' 2 or 3 times... I have a long bus ride so that's how I do it.

The other day when I was riding the bus I listened through NEXT LEVEL and I wrote what I thought for each song... I might just type it up and post it!

Anyways, I have been meaning to go through all of her albums... but right now I don't have them all uploaded to my ipod... but when I do that I will go through all albums without skipping.

It just seems like so much fun to go through and listen to every track. When I went through the singles I found that I liked a lot of songs that I usually wouldn't listen to. So I think that going through all albums would bring up even more songs that I usually wouldn't listen to.

Also I've listened to GUILTY, Secret, ASFXX all the way through without skipping...

i do this with koda kumi but not rly with ayu, i have to skip songs from ayu :(

In order to do this, i created a mp3 disk named "ayu: the real complete songs collection" where i put ALL her songs in alphabetical order..it's amazing to listen to all the songs with no album order

Most of the time, I do it on my singles collection which is really hard.
Quick change of CD after it was finished, I skip the instrumental tracks.


Would love to try it on my album collection but I lack one: and that is Secret.

i can't even get through 1 ayu album nowadays
i used to have ayu marathons in the past though..

i can do marathons of other artists though.

oh well i'm sure sooner or later i'll start to listen to her like i used to

I only have the studio albums, b-sides and both Ayu-mi-x 6.

Maybe one day I will, why not? I do have free time to do it now!

i do this with ayu like every 3months.. i just finished the marathon last week.

For seven months straight a year ago I only listened to Ayumi Hamasaki. I'm not even kidding, either--I'd make dozens of playlists with different themes, putting together all her songs or live stuff... I would go through remix albums, singles, studio albums, Best albums, audio rips.. Seven months solid of pure Ayu. She's over 10k listens on my last.fm channel now! :D

I'll probably go back to it again, since there's just so much to like about her music, but I've mostly been doing things in which background music would only interrupt.. like watching movies and playing Persona. This sounds like a good idea, though! I just got A Song for XX in the mail the other day and I've been meaning to listen to it.. even if I already have a copy on my computer, heh.

I wanna have an Ayu marathon. :O But I'm not in the mood to listen to ASFXX, so I'm listening to all of her albums from finish to start.

Basically, starting with Curtain call -> Days -> ... A Song for XX -> Prologue

My music player has all of ayu's albums in a row so when it goes one round, it's another ayu marathon for me. I try never to skip any songs. I'm pedantic that way haha...

I did this for a while on my long journeys to work, I'd start from ASFXX all the way down, and then listen to all her compilations and then remix albums I have :P

Seriously, I got through 2-3 albums a day without skipping a single song. It kinda makes me appreciate ayu even more lol

This summer I'm definitely gonna do a complete discography marathon. First albums, second singles, third remix albums. :)

I do it sometimes, playing all the albums. And sometimes even some remixes albums. That's pretty fun from time to time. ;)

ayu marathon... i'm free now.. and am listening to her classics now, i realzied i liked herpast works more.. right now its like..... somehow/// i can feel her company pushing her a little into the world market, and mroe into mainstream fashion icon(becaue of competition and not because she's not), look at Sparkle and Rule(theme song!! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGH HA!)

I'm currently in the middle of my Ayu's music marathon. I started a few weeks ago but stopped cause I was on vacation. Now I'm on MissUndersood album. Good way to to rediscover some songs.

I had today a summer marathon ^^

I went to the beach *o*

Two years ago I went on a binge of Ayu stuff. I made dozens of playlists with different styles, or featuring her stand out songs from different eras. Hell, I even went and listened to all of her studio albums in a row, followed by the remix albums, the singles, etc.

This continued for half a year. I'm not kidding. o_o Ayu was all I listened to every day for six months. I barely even noticed it, to be honest. Then I saw my last.fm ranking of her--she'd shot up to over 11,000 plays x_X Since then I've taken a break from her, listening only now and then, but I think it's high time I go on another binge :3

Oh, that sounds VERY interesting! Well, I'm constantly listen to Ayu's songs (at least ten songs a day), but I never did a marathon!
But I'll give it a try, after my exams for this term are over! <3

whenever im listening in itunes i shuffled the songs

I've done it, before. It's great fun, but takes hours. I usually do it when I have really long days, where I have a lot of work to do. It relaxes me.

back in 2004 to 2005 i had a marathon and listened to all her albums and singles and remix albums!! the winamp playlist was over 3 days long!!

Great idea! Now I'm starting the marathon from NOTHING FROM NOTHING.

My thread revived, I think I will have another marathon soon since its been a couple of months since my last one xD

I could have an ayu marathon, but it would mean i would have to redownload some of her albums. ayu or not. if I don't like a song, I delete it. humming 7/4, b&d, glitter, marionette, frea & easy, etc. And I'm not in the mood to redownload her albums so I can have a proper marathon.

I think I will make an ayu marathon, too with her albums when I have enough time
