I'm excited about hearing more from them. The teaser is really catchy!
Their style/concept is a bit too 2NE1, I think. It's like 2NE1 but down a notch or too. They don't look as out-the-top and crazy as 2NE1 (they shouldn't have let G-Dragon style them!) but there's some similarities. Mix with After School? LOL. There's so many girl groups in Korea now! Just because a group doesn't dress cutesy doesn't make them like another one. Plus you can't really judge from a SILHOUETTE tease and one picture. anyways, i'm so excited for the girls! hyun ah is coming back better than ever!! |

i hated her so much in WG, she was dead weight. Very happy that she isn't in the group anymore. she looks better now though :)
i like the teaser i just hope these girls can bring something new to the k-music scene and not just turn out to be another typical k-pop group. |

^2NE1 was a bit of a letdown.
They were so over hyped and yet their live performances aren't even up to par with anyone. It's really sad. I have a good feeling about these girls. :D |

First performance at MNet Countdown on June 18 2009 (Thurs) pm 7:00. Next Thursday. I can't wait to see them live. I hope they do well. I'm all hyped for a new girl group.

The song's not bad. I think I'll like it. I still love that background beat. I hope the instrumental comes with it.
The music video has some parts that are similar to 2ne1's Space ver. video but it's not like that particular idea is anything new. Otherwise, the beginning look pretty cool. Also for not being the leader, HyunA is all over the place. :irked I know she's the one people know so they use her to promote the group but I the leader doesn't stick out because HyunA is all in my face. and usually in kpop the leader is never the member focused on. if anything, it's just a random title given out. |

The music video is still not out. Don't know why, but the first performance was good. The microphone system is messed up though. Even during Lady Gaga's performance the microphone was weak. Even so they are really energetic. One of the girls does the splits.

Nice debut! The mic problems are nasty, but they have so much energy in their voices nevertheless. The choregraphy overall isn't that great, they seem a bit unorganised at some points. :laugh I wanna have the MV! |

I was pretty disappointed with their performance on Mnet. They need to work on their vocals when performing live (plus their too high pitch for my liking). I expected more.
@Sundae Mnet always has weak sound compared to the other music shows (Music Core, Music Bank, Inkigayo) Oh thanks for sharing the video...it's nothing really special |

So they use the same beginnig as in their MV for their debut. And the same clothes.
I hope for their next performance that the sound is much better. It's hard to tell if their voices are good or not. But they are powerful. |
Music Bank
Much better. Besides the mic problem for the first performance, they couldn't seem to make up their mind if they sing the skipping Hot Issue part.(Hot it Hot it-that part) They decided to sing it here. Ji Yoon's my favorite but she might be trying too hard at some points. |
The first performance was kinda weak. Vocal-wise, it wasn't that great.
Now this performance! So much better! I just noticed that they have the little "toc toc toc" move like Lee Hyori when she performs "Toc Toc Toc". XD |
Really much, much better, singing and dancing!
I love Jiyoon so far, nice voice. |

I'm not bored of it yet. The reason is that I haven't listened to it that often. I usually don't download the digital song/single and wait for the actually single or album release to download it instead. That way, I don't get bored too fast. |
^ yes! every time I try to think of the song in my head "FIRE" by 2NE1 starts to play. Plus their first performance and pv (imo) was disappointing :( Even though their second performance was much better still...SNSD is getting all my k-pop attention atm :laugh

I like them way better than 2NE1.
Only reason I'm still like - a half-2NE1 fan is for Bom and Sandara. I can't stand the other two~ 4minute has all cute members who are cool and their song is waaay better. Fire got old so fast. TT |
I think FIRE and Hot Issue are both quite catchy. I must say though... I'm not the biggest fan of both rappers. The rapper in 2NE1 has an annoying voice that I can't stand and Hyuna's rap is not that impressive. But overall, 4minute has better singers in my opinion.

Music Core performance
Much better than the others. The other members besides Hyuna and JiYoon seemed to shine a little better. The one with the blond hair was hard to hear, but other than that I liked this performance much better. JiYoon fancam She's so spunky. I love it. |

apparently people have broken into their van and stolen stuff! they don't think it's the work of fans or antis though. that sucks! ...but then again - any publicity is publicity! the girls have really been in the news a lot recently! it's really keeping them popular! their song is still in the top 10/5 on a lot of the digital sites! i'm so happy! |

i watched a higher quality ver. and it is lipsynced. :shrugs
oh well, idu people's dislike towards occasional lipsyncing~ :shrugs and i like this a lot better than SNSD's. they oversang the song in their cover and it was really obvious. 4minute really kept it in the vein of the true song, i loved it~ :) 4minute is getting a lot of overseas antis for this cover but oh well! these girls just get more famous even with all the haters! |
