Sparkle vs. ECSTASY (PV ONLY)
 

I think both PVs have a similar sexiness and edginess to it that makes gay men wanna go straight. :luv2

Kudos to Ayu for trying out being sexy, but I think ECSTASY has got a better PV here... the changes in between scenes are a thousand times better than Sparkle. Sorry Ayu, if it was Wakaru Takeshi who directed Sparkle instead of Kazuyoshi Shimomura, you know I would have voted for you!

its actually the fetish gear that makes me like sparkle more. lets just say I'm a bit of a bdsm/masochist lover.
never in my life did I think ayu would attempt anything so vulgarly delicious. ecstasy looks awesome but it annoys me how theres no story line. I felt like it could have gone somewhere but went no where. on a bike singing, taking pictures singing, in a vat of *** singing, dancing and singing. its like "JESUS can we not see a scene where you're singing?" she did look hot but still I preffer sparkle. although I hated the intro/outro of it. killed it sort of for me.

ECSTASY just looks like it's been done before, but I still like the stylishness.

Even though they BOTH remind me of Lady Gaga in one way or another, I'm gonna side with Sparkle (even though I think Ecstasy was the best of the 3 Splash PVs) because I liked the concept better and Ayu looks hot in that PV (for a change)

i'm going to go with Sparkle. even though ayu does a pose where she looks like she's going to take a dump, i was much more entertained with Sparkle. Ecstasy just didn't do it for me. i thought it would be good from the preview but it's just so typical and predictable.

Sparkle was a terrible PV. I'm sorry to say, but it just flat-out sucked in my eyes. Ayu in leather is gross and she is trying way too hard to be sexy.

I don't even want to watch Sparkle PV. I've seen so many pics and previews of that and those just freaked me out so hard. I decided that I won't watch those. I even think that Ayu didn't even pull sexy thing so well. So I gave my vote for Kuu. I seem always vote for someone else than Ayu on these polls but it's just my opinion. I prefer Kuu over Ayu anytime. <3

Sparkle. It amuses me. And Ecstasy was just all sorts of disappointing for me.

Ecstasy actually really reminded me of Sparkle though, and NEXT LEVEL...like...you know how nothing really happens in them, and it's like, they're just for looks.

which I don't really mind so much...they were entertaining...and not everything has to have some dramatic story...which sometimes fail as well because they get overdone.

Both PVs are pretty weak IMO, I think Kuu has the better shots, but it seems to me like kuus PV doesnt have meaning at all, only her looking hot, from Sparkle I get the impression that ayu WANTS to tell us something(but her director ruins it o.0) and ayus has her dancers with her^^ so i choose Sparkle

I really don't know what I expected for Ecstasy PV though...I don't think I expected anything lol...all of kuu's PVs seem for me, to be purely for entertainment purposes.

Why wouldn't ECSTASY have any meaning? Maybe I'm thinking too much but I think the room with the white liquid/tape has some sort of meaning... trying to figure out, haha.

And for Sparkle, I think it's a good PV, but Ayu has done like 1000 LULZ movements in it that it looks so weird... like she's out of her comfort zone, and she doesn't look comfortable at all.

Whereas for Kuu... she looks really natural in the context of the song/video... like really drugged out in that room, I like those scenes, a lot.

^ I have to agree about Ayu not looking comfortable in the Sparkle PV. As much as I like the PV I thought that ECSTASY was better executed. The director of Sparkle made Ayu over act and over work. The concept of the PV was a good idea but poorly executed. I think if Wataru would have directed Sparkle it would have been a million times better and I might not have voted for ECSTASY but ECSTASY was better in the end.

There is a meaning.
All those things she pulls out of the white goo might be her kind of Ecstasy. And because the lyrics are about sex you could speculate about some other meanings as well. There is defenitly a meaning about the PV. You have to connect it with the lyrics.^^

^ I know right! I suggested this in one of the Kuu forums... that whatever she pulled out could be her "ECSTASY" or things that give her pleasure... from things like roses, wine... to er handcuffs and a gun? Lol, but what's I think as well... which is very cool.

Also the fact that she looks drugged in the room kinda suggest she's "high" on her "ECSTASY" stuff... I mean it's not a zomg philosopher theory like Sparkle, but I like the idea! :)

I love them both TONS, but in the end, "Sparkle" gets my vote.

For me it's the other way round.
Sexy isn't Ayu's cup of tea, she tries it to hard sometimes for example in Sparkle PV. Her sexy is another kind as Kuu's, but Kuu's one is more natural, it fits better to her. That's the reason she got that famous with her ero kakkoi/kawaii image I think.

I agree, although I must say Ayu can be sexy... look at all her my name's WOMEN performances... (don't) Leave me alone @ AT 08, Wacoal shots (the first one with the black & white version)... I think she looks really sexy, as in erotically sexy there.

For Sparkle... I would really blame it on the director, cos he's the one who'd be telling her what and how to do it so that she would look sexy. I believe we have all seen his infamous "demonstration" on how to be sexy in the Sparkle PV making, and Jesus was it horrible.

In the PV for Sparkle... Ayu is most of the time doing REALLY WEIRD stuff, like pulling her hair, squatting down, making awkward jerks/turns... they look really uncomfortable imo, and though I enjoy the mystery in the video... I just can't immerse myself fully into it cos I feel Ayu's discomfort.

"Sparkle" is one of the worst PVs I've ever seen! So I voted for ECSTASY which is pretty good.

Sparkle PV is the worst example for Ayu being sexy, and I still think itm coming off so bad has two reasons: a) I think this PV was supposed to be a parody of the likes of Lady Gaga(but the director was too bad to show that) and b) the director is horrible

I like the two, but I prefer Sparkle

I like the Sparkle PV but it seemed a little cheap (not in the sexual sense) and a bit rushed too. Also she was trying to hard to be sexy, but that's probably not her fault its he-who-must-not-be-named's. Like, it looked like a PV that would be only included in a DVD and not an A-side, if that makes sense. ECSTASY, on the other hand was really well made and was naturally sexy, even though I tend to prefer Ayumi's PVs more than Kumi's (and her music for that matter).

Edit: Now that I think about it though, I give Kudos to Sparkle for having a deeper message though ( :yes ).

Why do people always think that Ayu's bad PVs are parody?

IMO Ecstasy makes me think too much about Because of You, while Sparkle is a interesting comment about japanese popstars... About Ayu looking to be "trying too hard", I always find it interesting that people around here never consider that that would be the main idea of the video: looking over the top

I didn't like Ecstasy all that much. I think I like Sparkle more, not just because I do think it's a better video in general, but I like that it was something new and unexpected from Ayu.

Random Edit: I have learned to quite enjoy Ecstasy, but I still stand by my vote. I like Sparkel from Ayu because its still something she has never done, and probably will never do again, though I wish she would.

I really have not been into Kuu's stuff for awhile now...PVs are no exception lol.

ECSTASY is much better done than Sparkle. Even though there really isn't a theme per-say going on in ecstasy it's a more pleasant to watch over Sparkle, which screams po-R-n star to me, not to mention it's just disturbing; I mean it makes because of you look classy...I don't know how to explain it... it just does.
