In Ayu's defense (lol), the top selling tarento books, in order were a mere 777 yen, 1400 yen, and 1260 yen while Ayu's was 3780 yen.

i think it means "talent" in english. like an entertainer that goes on variety shows and stuff.

"Tarento" is a wasei-eigo term from the English word "talent". Tarentos are basically TV personalities.

most people will just buy another cheaper book ..

even though it was expensive it is so worth the buy just in case anyone was still iffy about purchasing it.. i just got mine today and it's just amazingly gorgeous. i love how big it is

Yeah, like that will happen ( :P ). It'd be great though... I would have like everything shes ever released if it were all cheaper! I still can't get over the fact that I can get a CD + DVD album in the US for $15 while it would be 4000 yen in Japan. I hate the JPop industry. ( :dead2 )

Honestly, when I finally found the book in Kinokuniya, I was surprised that it was as cheap as it was! I was seriously expecting to pay about 50 bucks for it...but was pleasantly surprised to find it was only 30. XD It was sold out everywhere for the longest time too! It's doing really good.

Kinokuniya has it for 30bucks?Wondering if kinokuniya in sg has it too,i will go there march 2010.Crossing finger,hope its still available.I will buy it for sure
