Ayu's 50th single
 

So...it won't be long now until her 50th single is released.

I wonder what Avex is going to do to commemorate this occasion?
Something expensive and limited edition, I'm sure. I wonder what, though?

Any thoughts?
I'm hoping for something small but extraordinary, IDK...not something that I'm gonna have to shell out $200 for. (I put out $230 for NEXT LEVEL lol)

I'm excited though, to see what Avex has up their sleeve.

Maybe it will be with something like a collector edition? I mean, getting one of 6 first press bonuses, covers or anything like that? That would be nice! ^^

I'm predicting this:

* A cardboard sleeve version like Mirrorcle World but instead of two discs it’s three high, making it unlikely to EVER fit in ANYBODY’s shelves EVER
* There will be 5 different images on the slipcase so you must collect 5 of them
*The discs will include: CD music, DVD of the PV, 2nd DVD with exclusive digest footage of Ayu’s 50th Single Collection concert but it will only run for 5 minutes making it a very expensive advert
* 1 in every 50 copies will contain a random prize, 1 in 1000 will contain an authentic signature from Ayu

Then, three months after the 50th single, the 51st single comes out. Avex releases “Ayumi Hamasaki: Milestones” containing the title tracks from the 49th, 50th and 51st singles. This will only be available as a limited mini-USB version but it contains a virus crashing everybody’s computers. Avex says “oops sorry!” and carries their bags of money away to Switzerland :yes

she will do another A MUSUEM i think...i hope the 50th single is a ballad...as grand as forgiveness

i dun hope for a compilation coz that seems very early...Sunrise is her 46th only...so assuming another one this year...(to break the two single per year thing)..then she might get her 50th single late next year

no idea. but I have no idea why she did that museum tour. theres not exactly anything special with releasing 30 singles. its just a random number. did she think she wouldn't get that far? but I hope the 50th single is pure awesomeness. what single with sunrise (including together when even though it wasn't physical) are we up to?

i hope there's a prize in every single copy! a poster, keychain, etc. i suppose it doesn't have to be anything big, but i'm pretty sure she'll have a special tour that year.

I dreamed of her making an album full of 10th anniversary recordings... I was so upset when R/S didn't contain any, it was only a 2008 thing.

The single itself could come in a letter format, with a letter written in the inside of the case from Ayu to all her fans! The most exclusive one evarrr.

She could probably have a grand A MUSEUM-like tour, like everyone else said! A limited edition of that DVD would contain a special documentary, not only of that tour, but of her whole career. Yeah, we totally need an update from the 2004 Light & Shadow interview. And it's gonna cost like...1000 bucks. Aimed specially towards hardcore fans.

I would gladly buy a limited edition 50th single if it includes a third CD that contains a re-recording of the entire A Song for XX catalogue.

Well, she did release A BEST 2 4 years after A BEST, and A COMPLETE a year after A BEST 2. Their not exactly the same, but still, they should've just chose between one of those two.

Who knows what crazy marketing techniques these money-crazies are going to come up with.

I have NO idea. With Ayu, honestly, anything's possible!!! She could end up doing something not-so-omg-wow like Mirrorcle World on her 10th anni or she could do something else.....

Some sort of special live/tour like A Museum and a single collection boxset with all 50 singles with new artwork (maybe on the slipcases so you have the original cover and a alternative photo from the shoot if you wish with the slipcase) and bonus stuff.

Hm, a re-recording of one of her old songs wouldn't be a new single, so it wouldn't be her 50th single.
For me her 50th single must be a new song. Re-recorded songs as a bonus, probably for every version another old song just like on MW. :tired

I don't have any ideas about what they'll do, but I haven't a doubt in my mind that it involves multiple jackets/designs/tracklists and its rediculously expensive and rediculously limited in first press.
