[Koda Kumi] Do you like her sexy/provocative image?
 

So guys, do you like Kuu's "ero-kakkoi" or "ero-kawaii" style? I personally don't mind as long as she makes good music, but sometimes she looks disgusting. We all know she has been very popular since 2003 (or even before) with that, but do you mind seeing her like that? I think there's nothing wrong in showing your sexy body...as long as there is a limit of looking like a *****. But sometimes she really looks like that.

like with TABOO and JUICY it was ok because the songs were really good. if she has a crappy song and is dancing around like a ***** it bugs me

sometimes i think she tries too hard to be sexy though and it just doesn't work and grosses me out.

@identity I don't care so much because I don't watch very much her PVs and lives, she has a great body - it's a fact, but then again I don't always like what she does. And yeah, for great songs like JUICY, TABOO and Get Up&Move!! didn't bother me anything.

I like it, but not always, it depends...sometimes I feel like her image is overshadowing her vocal talent. Kumi has an amazing voice but people might be distracted from it if her boobs are constantly in their faces. It really depends on the situation. There's no getting around the fact that...she is hot. Lmao. That's for sure.

she is the (rightfully) claimed SEXY QUEEN as a lot of her songs state and i love it, and it gave her a lot of popularity but it kept a lot of people from realizing how amazing she truly is!

I think its hit or miss with her. Early Kuu days she was far more provocative, but since end of Black Cherry Era or during that time I think she started looking better and going about being sexy in a better light. Before it would look trashy and a bit ****y, and that was what she was going for(?) but I think how she is now is just fine.

Hoenstly I'd rather see her trashy and ****ty as I feel that fits her more than being completely colorful cutesy cutesy look she is going for like in 'Lick me'. Those outfits/over all look (even in Hashire) are just so fugly.

I like it, but not always, it depends. I remember laughing half through the Kiseki PV seeing Kuu in a bra, angel wings, long nails and tight jeans while singing a ballad. The outfit made it seem like she didn't know what to aim for.

Seriously. Kouda is awesome. I don't really see what the problem is with her being sexy...She does a lot of things anyway. That's what's great about her. Kuu has a song for everyone, whether they know it or not.

I personally, don't really care what area she goes for, but I'm not gonna say that I don't find her dancing and stuff entertaining. It is, and I think that's what's most important.

Her image is fun, and that's what I think a lot of artists forget about sometimes when they're performing or making their own music.

Not to mention the fact that she does pull of the sexy image without having overly cliche music that usually goes with the image. She bridges genres that you don't see a lot of other people doing in her area of similar artists, and that's what makes her unique.


So anyway...I don't really know which option to pick...so I'm gonna pick the one that is most enthusiastic sounding, which is the first one.

i agree. the "cute" image doesn't really work with her. there are only a couple of times where she can pull it off. with some people they can pull it off easily because their faces look kind of childish and young, while kuu's doesn't.

I will admit her previous image (2004-2005) appalled me to no end. Over the years her personality overshadowed her overt "sexiness" and I have come to enjoy her music more than her image. That being said, I just hope she embraces her new image and the direction she is going in.

I like it, most of the time it fits her and her music very good but sometimes it's over the top. For example the live performances of Shake It. E.g. TRICK Tour. I don't like this, it's just too much for my taste.
Plus I dislike that some fans are only liking her for being hot and don't like it when she sings ballads or cutie songs. Because I think that isn't fake at all, she just has different sides. (From what I read in the interviews.)
