Im just wondering if anyone knows how the hell this started?? Cuz no matter how much you tell people that its not ayu they just come back with 'no it is, its tagged as ayumi hamasaki' (or even worse hamazaki :gnash)

think it all started when someone tagged it wrong on a file sharing site....and it's been haunting us ever since XD

whats so funny is that anyone who knows anything about ayumi would know this song is not by her. ugh.

i actually just had an argument with a coworker the other day who thought ayumi sang this. :no

I really love this song, but that people says it's ayu.. I don't know why..

I just say, let people fly around in their own world with ayu owning this song, but on Dailymotion it has gone WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY to far:

Omg the days of downloading ayu songs at limewire... I remember I downloaded a song called "Chobits" and it turned out to be Trauma!

Hmm, I think it started with someone mis-tagging the song once, then it spread all over the internet. That, or the person who mis-did the tag did it on purpose. :P

well. it jus shows that ayu was so darn famous that anything Japanese had to be related to her.

Its like with utada. everyone claims that she sings hear my cry. or w/e it is. and it's not utada. lol
Someone apparently mistranslated or its someone who isn't much of a japanese fan and just thought this was some singer and got it mixed up or something. and spread it around.

Oh yes... some years ago, I used a File-sharing sind.... and found "Butterfly - Ayumi Hamasaki". On that time, I didn't knew, that Ayu has no song called Butterfly.
So.. I downloaded that file... listend to it... and found out, thats not Ayu.
But.. I have no idea, how much people also downloaded this file.. and thought, it is a song from Ayu.
So... it comes because of, someone wrote the wrong singer to that file, uploadet it.. and so a lot of people got this wrong file.

It will never go away, no matter how many times you tell people it's not an Ayu song, people will still believe that it is in fact an Ayu song. For those people I say, check her OFFICIAL discography!

I can't wait until she releases a song called Butterfly. :laugh

I know right? That'd just mess everyone right the heck up. XD

Don't hold your breath for this misinformation to die anytime soon... this song was mislabeled as being by Ayu when I first heard about her back in 2000 and it's still not dead yet. Until stubborn idiots stop sharing files (which will NEVER happen), this misinformation will continue to spread.

or maybe its just some scam so people find the song . there is a lot of "mis tag " vidoeos on youtube and usually its on prupose to get views.

When I'm newbie of Ayu fan, I searched all Ayu's songs in internet. But then, I found this too. I knew that this is not AYU's song. But I thought the title is right.

When I knew Ayu many years ago, I found this song with her name..and sincerely for a bit of time I always tought that this song was really her XDD
After I searched it on her discography but I didn't find anything...in the end, I understood XD

I wouldn't necessarily say that because most people KNOW now that its not either Rihanna or Lady Gaga as to where there are people out there that still believe Ayumi sings butterfly..

If you listen to Ayu, one should know she doesn't sing butterfly as if one is a DDR fan as well, they should know its not Ayu singing it.

I also had a version of Daybreak that for a long time I thought was the official version...wasn't...sadly, I liked it better than the official one...

Who the F would believe such a load of crap???!!!! I don't think that there are many more things that PO me more. nd on top of that, the moron labeled it techno. If anything,that PO's me more than the fact that its labeled as Ayu. I don't really know for certain what genre it'd be considered, but it sure as heck isn't techno. No doubt that an American posted that. Anything with bass, high-hat, and a synth is techno to an Amercan.
