Which ayu's songs fill you with nostalgia?

Which ayu's songs fill you with nostalgia?

To me, all the songs in Ayu's fourth album "I am..." make me feel nostalgia for my old schooldays. Back then, I was still doing my secondary school and she was extremely influential and popular in Japan, nothing she released at that time failed to top the chart or sell well. Her most inspiring song to me is Dearest, the song gave me the strength and confidence when I most needed it, its kinda strange to put these into words, but it did makes me feel like the whole studies thing had somewhat transformed into the music industry so to speak and I felt like I was ayu conquering it. Anyway, pay no attention to this if you dont understand. But pls do leave your opinion on this topic.

You can say things bout which ayu songs actually impact or influence you the most.

emikoishida 20th September 2009 06:50 PM

Rainbow141 20th September 2009 11:16 PM

STEP you, monochrome.... Both for very unique reasons. monochrome, just because, really...it was one of my first favorite Ayu songs (along with independent, Boys & Girls, etc.), and listening to it makes me think back to one year ago, when I first started listening to her, and from the events that happened around that time.

STEP you, mainly because of the lyrics... it makes me think back on my old crushes. xDD Silly, I know... XD

ストロボ・EdGE 20th September 2009 11:22 PM

Endless sorrow, Dearest and especially Daybreak make me feel nostalgia.

KPL 21st September 2009 01:38 AM

Who...

I sang it on graduation

Tom Punks 21st September 2009 02:23 AM

Right now, the only song I can say really fills me with nostalgia is It was. The funny thing is, I never really listened to it when it came out. I mean, I liked it a lot, I just never listened to it. And back when Secret came out, I was totally crazy about Ayu. I told all my friends several times a day for weeks prior to Secret's release how excited I was that she was releasing a new album. So at the moment, It was is sort of the only song I can listen to by Ayu because it really reminds me of the days when I was sooo in love with her music, but it's not one of the songs that I overplayed... So it's still sort of fresh to me, yet really nostalgic at the same time. :yes If that made ANY sense.

Ayu-roBeat 13 21st September 2009 02:24 AM

ayu-ro mix (especially the first one), kanariya "Jonathan Peters' Vocal Club Mix", appears "JP's Soundfactory Mix", ever free, SEASONS, teddy bear...and BLUE BIRD/NEXT LEVEL/It was (Island Mix) remind me of my summer vacation trip.

Delirium-Zer0 21st September 2009 06:54 AM

Pretty much everything from the A BEST era and earlier get me nostalgic for high school, when I first discovered Ayu. Man, hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago now!

PinkShinigami 21st September 2009 07:46 AM

Midori-chan 21st September 2009 08:29 AM

"Endless Sorrow". The song reminds me of the time I "met" Ayu for the first time more than eight years ago.

But also "Dearest", "teddy bear" and "CAROLS".

y_nathz 21st September 2009 09:09 AM

Those are my first ayu songs...^^

AyumiBest 21st September 2009 10:04 AM

It's usually fairyland, immature, and monochrome.
Those songs always make me think of my childhood, especially immature. XD

love in music 21st September 2009 10:27 AM

and also Endless sorrow, CAROLS, RAINBOW, Memorial address, HEAVEN

keikeiaznqueen 21st September 2009 11:09 AM

Who..., TO BE, Key ~eternal tie ver.~, and possibly RAINBOW and WE WISH. Haha, WE WISH because it was the first ever Ayu song that I listened to and loved.

no more words also has a similar effect.

Trauma and Fly high because I listened to them a lot when I studied for exams.

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 21st September 2009 12:03 PM

Right now, SCAR.
People change so much, we hurt each other, and finally drift apart. The song really
conveys that feeling well.

Because of You... right now, because i love someone but it's painful as it can't be.
monochrome for the same reason; its a break up song :P

Kanzaki 21st September 2009 12:21 PM

No more words, because it was one of the songs that I listened the hell out of, back when I discovered her as a 15-year old in 2003. Sweet memories are attached to that song.

floweri19 21st September 2009 06:05 PM

evolution and HEAVEN were the first songs that i heard from ayu .. :)

!Lawi! 21st September 2009 06:20 PM

Picaflor 7/4 24th September 2009 10:09 PM

I'd have to say Sparkle. The promiscuous days of my youth. Having sex with "all the hot boys and girls".

haha jk. not relly any song since I don't know the lyrics. I mean, I can always look them up, but I never remember them. just that one part from sparkle. XD

C+R+E+AYUMI 25th September 2009 03:44 PM

End Roll remembers me my first love story ending
Dearest/HEAVEN all my dears dead, especially my Dad
Teddy Bear my dad again
GLITTER was the period since i met my hubby

ihulk2 28th September 2009 07:49 PM

Heh, I'm so feeling ancient right now ....

Jpop for me started with people named Seiko, Akina, Checkers and the annual Red and White Show. I only remember them cos of the cassettes I have left from that era. Speed, TRF and Namie followed, I remember Poker Face vaguely but I will never forget the song and PV of You.
I kinda lost track of Ayu till the Miss(understood) aibum and B&D was released. I came across it and bought it out of curiosity. Slowly but surely, Ayu was back in my life and now keeps my iPod real busy and almost at full capacity.

jean-baptiste 29th September 2009 02:45 AM

Life...

*sigh* i can barely hear 10 seconds into the song without yearning for the past =(

Trust, Trauma, and momentum.

I'm glad they're attached to good memories, tho :love

ownsarai 2nd October 2009 01:37 AM

End roll (NEURO-mantic Mix) always gets me nostalgic. I used to play that song CONSTANTLY when I first started listening to Ayu. And POWDER SNOW, because I remember telling ALL of my friends about it. I didn't care if they liked Ayu or not, I made them listen to it because she sounded so emotional in the song, it made me cry.

Sven@.@ 2nd October 2009 07:07 PM

"Dearest" reminds me of my senior year and all the bittersweet memories that I associate with it.

"Duty" reminds me of high school in general.

"Connected" ....awww...my first boyfriend.

Chibi_Venus 3rd October 2009 07:11 PM

Dearest -- It was the first song by Ayu that I ever heard.
no more words -- The second song I ever heard, and my favorite ever since I heard it.
SEASONS -- My first single. :P
TO BE "AOV" (from SEASONS single)
ever free "HAL'S MIX 2000"

And Then gives me a little nostalgia. I heard it when I was still discovering Ayu, and it wasn't from either the I am... or RAINBOW album, so it was "out of place," but I loved it. And theme of a-nation '03 gives me little nostalgia, but mostly because that's the "style"of the song.

Everything from the RAINBOW album gives me nostalgia. It was my first album and every single song from that album holds a special place in my heart...

SURREAL__RAINBOW 3rd October 2009 08:49 PM

At the moment:

-ever free
-A Song for XX "Ferry Corsten Chilled mix" (From "Cyber TRANCE presents ayu trance")
-Dearest "Acoustic Piano Version"
-End roll
-Heartplace
-HANABI
-Sunset ~LiA~

~ayu-cake~ 4th October 2009 11:26 PM

AyUta 5th October 2009 02:05 AM

oh geez, her entire i am album! when i listent o it, it brings back so many childhood memories that i miss.

baybreeze 5th October 2009 05:59 PM

The 4 consecutive singles; M, evolution, NEVER EVER & Endless sorrow

Reminds me of the carefree days that I've had in Secondary School, how they cemented my appreciation for all things Ayumi, and how I learnt Japanese to appreciate her lyrics (as my mum's Japanese friends had told me that her lyrics were really inspirational).

And M appeared again during my first breakup; "Beginnings come at random, but endings have a reason".

rakeru 6th October 2009 04:16 PM

NEVER EVER, still alone, End Roll, and Dearest. they were my first Ayu songs and remind me of all i was going through at that time.

taskinillusion 7th October 2009 05:08 AM

"RAINBOW" since it was the first song of hers that I heard. That and like the entire "LOVEppears" album because it was my first album of hers that I bought. :heart
