Who is Mitsui?
 

My friend said, Mitsui was one of Ayu dancers. He likes Ayu very much. He presented his dance just for Ayu.

But I don't have any idea who is he. So, does anyone know who Mitsui is and is my friend story is true? It's better if someone could post some photos.

Mitsu is the blond dancer(until AT05 he had black hair i think) ayu had until CDl0506 i think(you will definitly notice him when watching fairyland at CDL0506 or Kouhaku, hes like...the secondclosest dancer to ayu in that choreography, her hand at some point or something)

I think they leave of their own accord usually. Like, they find other projects and leave.

Naoto and Hide did that after Mitsu left. Naoto's in EXILE right now and Hide is retiring from being Namie's dancer after this year.

Always wondered that about the GAME special screen. I don't usually pay a lot of attention to her dancers except for the ones who are always in the spotlight, and I was not familiar with Mitsui...

Well... me and my friends always called him "the blond fa*" on Fairyland era :B

Mitsu is pretty cool...but wow my gaydar doesn't ring when I see him... but it does for Gomi & Shu-ya whatever I kind of missed all the previous dancers... I have not warmed up at all whatsoever with her new male dancers...

There is this very bold theory about Mitsu and all the other non-homo dancers that get the lead dancing roles and after some time get kicked out from the team.

If you look close at Mitsu during some performances (which is hard, because camera often avoids him, except for AT05), you'll see how focused he was on Ayu.

Even if the dance didn't required him looking at Ayu, he did that, way too often. Don't bash me, but I think he had some feelings for her and that might be the reason he got kicked out.

He was somehow Shuya's predecessor, he was allowed to do things others couldn't at that time, like touching Ayu's thigs (in my name's woman pv), he was the person who laid his head on her legs during Fairyland PV, he had the lead role in my name's woman during Arena Tour 2005 intro and performance, there's much more of that.

Maybe he wanted sth he couldn't get and Ayu got rid of him and since then she decided to give all the leading role to Shuya (since he's homo and she would feel safe about him). Now there's also Maro, but still only these two, neither Zin, neither Subaru get the hotter scenes and dance moves.

Back then there was also Naoto, who also has been kicked right after he got his lead roles. Something is wrong with that.

Very short before Mitsu's dissappearance he was behaving strange, kinda lost his energy, wasn't focused at all. In CDL 05-06, during winding road Ayu starts singing changed lyrics, all the dancers start to laugh but Mitsu somehow wakes up and smile only after a while.

But that's just my theory, it may be totally rubbish, but that's how I feel. Mitsu was my favourite dancer, he has awesome body and captivating gaze.

I don't want to be seen baseless so here are some screencaps. See how often he looks at Ayu although everybody else is concentrated on dancing.

Dancer career is short, and not every one of them want to waste it by only backing a pop singer for their entire career...

I doubt that theory, haha. That's a lot of male dancers. (The guy that had a solo in AT03-04, the INSPIRE guy, Mitsu, Naoto, Hide, Ryoji) I think it's more because they want to move on from just dancing for Ayu, or by dancing for Ayu, they found another opportunity and ran with it.

As far as I know he isn't dancing with anyone famous since then so either he ended up in some urban dancing studio or got married and has another job, I checked several agencies and not a trace of him since then. The inspire guy (at05, I assume) is Gomi and we all know he is gay. Hide and Ryoji have never been close to Ayu, rather just doing regular dancing or acting as they should in pvs but nothing outstanding, so it leaves only Naoto and Mitsu. Naoto switched to Namie Amuro, so I agree with you here but Mitsu dissapeared. I must watch AT 03-04 again as I can't remember any solo right now.

True, I find it weird that Mitsu disappeared just like that. At least I still hear news from Naoto, Hide and Ryoji. Apparently Ryoji is still very close to the current dancers. Such a pity, Mitsu was a short favourite of mine before he was gone and I started to notice Shuya :luv2

And I don't know, using the "Shuya is gay" defense to say that's how he managed to stay close to Ayu is...baseless? And that Ayu basically fired Mitsu because of hm, sexual harrassment? XD Is this also saying that Maro is gay too? Shuya and Maro are pretty close with each other too, like he is with Zin and Subaru. Gomi you could see really obviously that he is effeminate behind all those muscles, but then again, I know some (slightly less) effeminate guys who are totally straight.

This may seem OT, but it might be one reason why Ryoji isn't with Ayu anymore! I've read some random japanese BBS and turns out Ryoji is married! Here's a blog link~

At that same place as well, some users also mentioned that Maro is married, now this, I am shocked. He acts so much a like single dude getting it on with Ayu. XD They're not asking whether he's married, they say things like, "I know Maro is married, but does he have kids?" Oh, and seems like Shuya's divorced too. lol. Just to make sure, you wear your wedding ring on your left hand right?

A looong time ago, before I joined AHS, I think I was on... AHO/AHN? And there was some weird rumor I saw in a thread about Mitsu quitting because one of the dancers sexually harassed him or something like that. :shakehead

"Working as a dancer" doesn't mean "working to a pop singer" or "working with pop music"... Maybe he is working with other kind of dancing... maybe he opened a dancing school... Maybe he quit on dancing and it's a lawyer now :P

We can't know why he is not working for ayu or even if it was friendly or not

actually its the my story tour that I realized Mitsu might be gay. The way he dances (especially in inspire) is really flamboyant and out there. of course I can't post any videos cause everything of him in that tour is maybe 2 seconds long.

If we were about to forget who is gay and who is not for a moment it would go like this: before 2005 Ayu had hardly any sexy concepts in her concerts or pvs, the My Story Tour and My Name's Women PV were one of the first times when she allowed her dancers to make bold moves.

In My Name's Women PV each of them does 'something', one is touching her leg, she is touching someone's chest, she's almost kissing Shuya, etc At the same time she choses Mitsu and Naoto to have the lead roles and / or solo dances.

After that Mitsu is very close to Ayu in Fairyland PV and A-Nation 2005.

End of 2005 during Kouhaku Fairyland performance Mitsu kinda lost his energy and during CDL 05-06 he somehow can't concentrate.

Arena Tour 2006, no Mitsu. Generally no dancer has a lead role except for the guy during Rainy Day, Ayu calls him Naoto but he looks totally different with braids, beard and moustache and cannot convince myself that it is really him.... At the same time in Blue Bird PV Shuya is the one with closest contact with Ayu, he holds her, rides waterscooter with her, etc.

A-Nation 2006, no leading dancer AFAIR.

CDL 07-08 - Shuya drives Ayu fans crazy with his repetitive "up, right, left, down, up" dance moves.

Asia Tour 2008 - Now there was a moment when I told a friend of mine that Shuya has a nice body and he told me to shut up and look at Maro's back during Decision or My name's woman. That was the light in the tunnel. I started to observe him a little. Unfortunately, the dance ends with Shuya leading again. Hanabi - Shuya....

A-Nation 2008 - guess ...there he goes again, ..."up, right, left, sad face, down, up" Shuya (I like him as a guy, but I hate him dancing his ill-considered dances)

CDL 08-09 OMG, YES, the show starts with Maro, Green continues with Maro, finally, one hour later, god NO!, ._____. "up, right, left, sad face, down, up" comes back. However, this time Shuya shares Ayu with Maro, I'd say it's about 60-40. Even though Ayu introduces Zin several times and gives him a lot of freedom during MC's there's no chemistry between them. During some concert, AT 08 I guess, Ayu hugs crying Shuya and then gives a slight hug to Zin but it's loveless.

In general I think Mitsu didn't sexually herass Ayu but I can see in his eyes that he had some feelings for her and maybe she just decided to cut it before it would turn into sth bigger. Maybe not, maybe he simply wanted to change the lifestyle but I honestly think the way he looked at her was sth more than just an admiration and definitely has some meaning.

As for Shuya, well, everyone claims he is gay and he really seems like that, so it may be true that Ayu gives him lead role because she knows he won't fell for her. It's obvious she likes him at least as a friend and feels comfortable with him. I always thought how is it that other dancers aren't angry about him having the most solo dances. Besides he is handsome and girls love him on stage (except for AHS members :D).

I don't think Maro is gay, I also never heard about him being married. I have a long interview with him but don't understnd much from it. For quite some time I thought Ayu likes him a lot, there were many photos of them together from the rehersals and they were having lots of fun. Then, during PCDL she started to treat him similar to Shuya, more solos, very bold moves, etc. I'm not sure what to think, great friends probably. Maro is experienced, as far as I know he worked for Koda Kumi before and some other famous people (quoting: 島谷ひとみ、melody、倖田來未、Pierrot) so he problably wouldn't risk his carrier easily.

Right now I would only say Gomi is 100% gay, Shuya - 90%? It's easy to call a Japanese guy gay, they dress totally different from boys in other countries.

Forgive me, I can talk about Ayu's dancers for HOURS :D As long as it's a discussion and not bashing.

I don't think we can safely assume anyone is gay or straight unless they've explicitly said so.

I realised Shuya basically got the spotlight all to himself in AT07, and isn't it around the same time Ayu broke up with Tomoya? I wonder if it's connected somehow. She really starts using her dancers a lot in general too. It's like, in AT05 you barely get a good look at each dancer, but she features them heavily since 2007 probably?

Shuya is really popular with the girls too, and Ayu definitely fully utilises that point. Zin is quite popular too but that's only after the MY ALL lessons. Still, Ayu doesn't use him for solos and lead roles maybe because he isn't much of a looker? He's still as cute as mashimaro to me! ^0^ Maro is getting popular too, but still, when you hear the applause, Shuya/Zin still gets more than him.

Still, they're all very close though, Zin and Shuya knew each other since their teen years, probably, and Shuya and Maro are getting pretty close too. Maro's been the one choreographing Shuya's solos, and that one time when he carried Shuya piggyback out during the encore XD And of course, the "sniffing" picture, lol.

It's a wonder though, Shuya and ZIn only got the roles, like they deserve it, few years into working with Ayu, Maro immediately got it once he joined. I wonder if it's got to do with his looks or his talents :P

Anyway... I can understand why people around here hates Shu-ya because he's "overused" or whatever, but besides Maro, I don't think any of the other dancers can do what Shu-ya does... I mean he has the height and the looks and possibly the "bad boy" factor that Japanese girls eat (is this true?), so... And he seems to be a really sincere and emotional person, I like that. :)

I think it more of the "pretty boy" factor. Shuya has big eyes and there are some times when he would smile where he has this "cat look" to him that could possibly one of the reasons why girls (like me) would go crazy over him XD

Mitsu is still my favorite dancer.

Yup, I've read some of the dancers already knew each other and one introduced others to Ayu. It's amazing how there are fans in each concert that have posters saying 'Shu-ya' or 'Zin' instead of Ayu, that's truly unique.

I first mention Shuya in that almost kissing scene from My name's woman but then he got lost in shadow until Blue Bird PV (read: I was too obsesed with Mitsu to look at other dancers :tipsy). To me he is good looking, he seems to be very sweet guy and a good dancer too, unless he does a free solo. His solos seem to have no choreography at all, his moves are totally repetitive and random.

Some people complained about Ayu's dancers, esp girls, being too old, but personally I could not imagine other dancers right now. The harmony between them, all the 'after party' stories, journeys, photos, etc, it's great Ayu is working with friends and not just employees.

Another trivia a friend of mine pointed out. Yo-chan is with Ayu from the very beginning, Kayanocchi dances for her since Concert Tour 2000 and maybe earlier too (I didn't check), did you know they both share the same surname? Kayano Nomura and Yoshio Nomura. And now there's also Maroka Nomura :D

I prefer Mitsu and Naoto over Shuya any day. Sigh....atleast Maro is still around. :D

He involves his upper body more than legs. No, seriously, compare any Shuya's solo with Maro's solo at the beginning of PDCL. Check Maro's profile at You tube and see him dancing in his jazz classes, that's what you call an amazing dance.

this. freaking this. I really can't stand shuya. he's so ugly imo. That one video where he was on the steps and he fell off. Yeah...ugly version/attempt at indiana jones.

I really like all of Ayu's dancers, though my favourite ones are Subaru (it was love at first sight! ^.^''), Shuya (YES, I LIKE him!!), Zin and Gomi. Maro is a really great dancer too and seems like a nice guy!

@SKYia: Oh my..., I'm actually glad, that I'm not the only one, who noticed the way Mitsu looked at Ayu, especially at the "CDL 05-06", but I don't know if he really felt something more than admiration for Ayu (I mean, I look at Ayu the same way and I'm not in love with her...okay, maybe a bit! ^.^'').
I just think that the dancers also want to move on and dance for other artists too or do different things!

^Mitsu is a mystery for me. He's dead sexy in one moment and puppy-like happy in another. He's a good actor (meaning when he dances he additionally conveys feelings with facial expression) and at the same time he cannot hide his admiration for Ayu.

I wish I knew what's going on with him ._.

My friend pointed out that in making of videos he rather keeps himself far from other dancers. I never paid attention to that but maybe they just didn't go along as a group.

Since he can't be found on the stage of any other popular artist, or part of an agency, it could be he's a teacher, or retired and doing a regular job. Even though I've always found it so difficult how you do something you love, do well in it, and then go do an office job or something but it's been done, I just can't understand it :D

Mitsu was my absolute favorite of Ayu's dancers. He still is actually... after all these years. True love never dies! lol

If you want to try finding his name, it's Michiharu Hirasawa. Not sure about the kanji though. Maybe 平沢通陽?

As a dancer he probably doesn't really go by his real name anywhere... and MATSU doesn't really give any worthy results in Google. Perhaps he's teaching at a studio. For dancers it isn't really usual to change profession.

He's probably one of the more elusive dancers since most of the others have kept on doing what they're doing or maintain an online presence of some sort OR were rehired to work somewhere else (see NAOTO in J-Soul Brothers).

Yeah. Too bad, I guess. Maybe his blog, twitter, ameblo or whatever surfaces somehow someday. Perhaps someone who's more of an insider in Ayu's Japanese community would know something about his whereabouts (I imagine TeamAyu members know such things better).
